Location excellent, wonderful ambiance. Excellently maintained centuries old building. Unexpected indoor swimming pool. Superb parking (indoor, direct access to hotel, outside options complicated) Exceptional service from the staff, quickly dealt with a small problem. Nice to easily see the Danzon performance in the plaza on Thursdays and Friday.

None... save that the booking system implied that my booking might not have a private bathroom. Not so. ALL rooms have private bathrooms.

The location is almost too good because you are so close to the plaza the music pours into your room. We stayed 5 nights. The first night in an interior room that was dark and quiet. The next 4 nights we had a balcony room overlooking the plaza Much brighter with quite a bit of loud music after 10.pm. You can walk to the malecon and the market is about 8 blocks You can have a drink or a bite to eat right outside the hotel Good breakfast at Cafe el Alba only one block away

I wish the rooms werent on two levels. You have to climb a staircase to use the bathroom if you are downstairs on the balcony

We don’t used the restaurant there The location it’s the best In the front of the hotel have a plaza in the night there is diferente live music I liked

There is people working in the hotel during the day and smell fresh paint all around but I think was okay because they are remodeling the place for a better service

Rooms felt very regal and were spacious. The hotel itself is very elegant and in a great location on the main zócalo.

The older style of the hotel means less "mod-cons" - the showers weren't super powerful, the lighting not super bright etc.

I think the hotel offers a lot of value considering the price, it's super well located at the heart of the Center of the city in the main touristic called "Los portales", so there's a lot of restaurants and highlights around. I wasn't so happy with the parking lot because it's small and you have to knock and wait in a dark street for them to open it in the night and a small inconvenience is that as the hotel is located in a party street, you will have certain noise at the bedroom but I was able to sleep :) I recommended it.

The parking place and some noise.

The staff were friendly and the hotel is in a great location. I slept fine and had no issues.

It is an old hotel. Most of the fixtures are dated. The elevator only allows two people at one time and is slow.

Nice spacious rooms. Clean. Two big double beds. Spacious bathroom. Hot water. Good AC. Helpful manager when I need to move rooms because of a battery of ac units outside my interior window

As far as I could make out only the front rooms had windows with a view Side and back rooms did not. I had a back room so window was into a interior space .... light could get in but just a view of lots of ac units... But I was there to see Veracruz not look out the window. I enjoyed my stay there. Fantastic location on the zocalo, decent bars and restaurants nearby - fantastic musician your doorstep nightly - friendly and helpful staff, great value for money.

Rooms overlooking the zócalo have a great view of the square. But they can also be very noisy till very late due to the week-end mariachi scene right below the windows. If quiet is needed better ask for rooms in the back without the square view.
