A relaxing hotel to stay

The bar closed at 11pm and the staff turned the lights out at 10.45. There was no entertainment, I expected a guitarist or a small band. The A la carte restaurant was very disappointing, the "Italian Restaurant" was very poor. I have never known an Italian restaurant that didn't have Lasagne or Cannelloni on its' menu.

Hotel is excellent very spacious even when busy didn’t feel crowded. Room was great 2 adults 2 teens and plenty of room. Views are amazing we stayed on 16th floor.

When you arrived restaurants already booked out for the week so you can only use the buffet each night. Tennis court also booked out but was empty most of the time so that’s a bad system.

This is a modern hotel located near a beautiful long, sandy beach, approximately one hour away from Faro. Lots of parking space. The room was clean and spacious, with balcony and partial view of the beach. Beds were very comfortable. Food and beverages were all inclusive and available all day - very good food quality, fresh ingredients and great variety. Staff was welcoming and very helpful - special thanks and shout outs to Carlos, Ricardo and Ines for their help during our stay! Entertainment for all ages was good, with a space in the basement for teenagers to socialise and play table tennis :) Outdoors swimming pool was pretty but a bit too cold to use at this time of the year. We went for October half term so mild temperatures, some wind and sunshine, and the hotel was not crowded at all so no queues in the restaurants and bars. Beach towels are available for free. There's also a small gym area in the hotel, and a spa at the other Pestana hotel next door, only 5 minutes' walk. Amazing hotel!

Difficult to find any flaws really... There was no hair drier in the room (we had to ask reception to give us one twice during our short stay, and return it to reception) and the food at the Italian restaurant within the hotel wasn't that great - the food at the main buffet was a lot better!

The hotel is very clean and neat and staff is great. The staff at the reception was very professional and helpful with our room change. The staff at the restaurant was also very helpful every time we had a question or a request. Bartenders were also really nice and kind. Animators did a great job with all the programmes and activities, they were very kind, nice, and active. It was good to see how many families stay at the hotel with their children and having a great time thanks to the great staff. Thank you very much for the professional and kind staff that made our stay even more relaxing and cheerful. The hotel and all the facilities are great, we really enjoyed our stay! Fantastic view to the ocean, great room, amazing swimming pools, restaurant and bars and the ocean is just a few minutes away. Thank you very much for everything! We hope to go back another time soon!

There could be more adult programmes, more live music, and/or dancing opportunities. The room was clean and housekeeping does a good job. We only had 2 incidents experienced during our stay: 1) The new sheet on the bed and the new pillowcase they applied during room cleaning had black and brown stripes that looked like dirt, possibly burn marks after ironing. 2) The cleaning lady was knocking on our door quite heavily around 10-11 a.m. for 3-4 times while we were in the shower and she would not go away. Especially that it was the morning after a complete room cleaning was done the previous afternoon. She wanted to know whether we need new towels, which is nice, but we could have asked for it ourselves if we needed.

Food was very good, rooms were of a decent size, cleanliness was average...could be improved, beds were hard and uncomfortable...if a hotel has uncomfortable bed mattresses that gives the client a disrupted sleep resulting in pain the hotel does not succeed in making a pleasant stay.

What was needed was a workable space either a desk in the room or a shared work space with desk space. We were there house hunting and we had to do many correspondences with real estate agents and attorneys and our room had no where to work. It was very uncomfortable to work in the room. More drawers in the room to unpack your clothes, flatter pillows, not these super puffy neck pain giant pillows. We complained twice to 3 different staff about the strong odors of cigarette smoke in our hall so we suspected some guests were ignoring the smoking policy but nothing was done about it.

Room is nice, and comfortable, vleaning everyday. It's just the toilet flush keeps on getting stuck, but they actioned right away when reported. We have a lovely balcony with seaview. Kids enjoy the pool. 5 min walk to a beautiful beach. Staff are friendly, they also assist in booking activities and tours. Food is very delicious, different everyday and lots of choices. Also, we dont need to rush to wake up early in the morning to eat breakfast, there is still breakfast even after 10am. And gym is open 24 hours 😊 Very relaxing holiday, highly recommended and will definitely come back 👍

Toilet flush keeps breaking, but quick action from hotel staff. Phone in the room not working.

Pool access was convenient, and we had a great time enjoying the padel court and mini golf, which made our stay more enjoyable. The room had a fantastic view, and while the food variety was average, the furniture was new, and the bed was very comfortable. The staff were generally friendly and welcoming.

The average age of guests was a bit higher than we anticipated. I was celebrating my birthday during the stay, so we requested a reservation at the à la carte restaurant. Unfortunately, reservations are only available for stays longer than four days, and despite offering to pay, they didn't accommodate our request, which was disappointing. Additionally, there was an unpleasant smell coming from the bathroom, likely due to outdated pipework that hadn't been updated during the renovation.

Amazing place, very good value for money! The good points: - Amazing staff and animation team! - Great buffet and all-inclusive food/refill - Clean rooms and great service all around - Very good location and access points - Good night events within the premisses

There were only two unfortunate situations I believe. I don't think that everyone will have problem with the first, but it is still a point to consider. The bad points: - Upon arriving, one of the first things we were told is that we had right to have dinner in one of the two exclusive restaurants, however, they were all booked. We were there one week and could not have dinner in any of the two restaurants. In my opinion this is bad planning and you should not count on having dinner in any of those. - Around the pool, there were dirty plates and cups that were there for the entire day and only cleaned at night, not a very good look.

Very kind staff, good location. Great selection of food at all meals. They are also very green, when towels were hung, no unnecessary changes were made. Well done!!

I cannot eat gluten. The gluten sign was on french fries, cheese (??)., sausages. But seitan in the vegan food was marked gluten free (which should be pure gluten). The variety of food was good, but frankly after a gluten free fish soup (served with pasta) I did not trust any signs. That's the only area where some improvements needed, overall greatly run hotel!

Excellent customer service. Food with the exception of dinner buffet. There was always something to eat though. Loved the buffet in the Coral bar during the day. I sent feedback the second day and someone contacted me and offered a late check out. We also had a bottle of fizz sent to our room on two evenings. Lovely large room with big balcony and great furnishings. Big selection of drinks on offer. 5 mins walk from the beach. 100% would return.

Dinner buffet. In particular hot food. The lifts took some getting used to.
