My itinerary was packed so I didn't have the opportunity to meet the other girls in my room, but the hostel was very comfortable for such a trip as well. Clean toilets and bathroom.
Some of the storage underneath the beds could be better maintained, and maybe have extension cords for the upper bunk of the beds as the charging ports are at the lower bunk.

1. The location of the hostel is really good - close to the train station, right next to the botanical gardens, and a walking distance to the Opera House. 2. They have a great food storage system, so it is easy to store personal items in the fridge without worrying that they will get stolen. 3. Generally a really nice hostel, clean and bright, with good facilities. 4. They organise social events, such as walk at Bondi or movie night, so i is easy to befriend fellow travellers! 5. Feels safe.
1. The wifi didn't really work in my room. Forget about streaming in the evenings or video calls, unless you don't mind doing it out in the corridor. 2. The breakfasts served were very simple; toast with jam or cereal. Of course that's sufficient, but wouldn't mind some protein or greens offered on the side.

Probably one of the best hostel vibes I’ve experienced. Great location, within walking distance to many attractions. The train station, light rail and buses are also close. I liked the various daily social activities the hostel provided and the free breakfast. The dining area is also a great way to meet people and is always lively. Bunk beds are quite big ( much bigger than standard) with curtains, charger and lamp.
There are not enough kitchen facilities for the size of the hostel, it’s not a nice place to cook with so many people. Also 2 sinks is not enough. However it wouldn’t put me off staying again as everything else was great!

PH is an excellent place to stay for backpackers travelling along Australia's East Coast. The place has a welcoming, communal vibe, helped by the friendliness of the staff, and loads of great facilities and amenities (kitchen, lounge room, study room, etc.) The showers/bathrooms in particular are fantastic: well-designed, spacious and clean, and even though there are only six on each floor (3 men's, 3 women's), I never had to wait for one. The beds are comfy, a really good size and have great privacy curtains. The lockers are also really spacious and secure. The location is also very good, only a 5/10 mins walk from the city centre and a 10/15 mins walk to the Opera House. The bus to Bondi Beach is also only about 10/15 mins in the other direction. Definitely a super place to stay for solo or group travellers
The hostel doesn't provide towels, which can be a bit of a pain if, like me, you want to travel as light as possible. Also, the bedside socket is only a standard USB (so make sure you have one), and even then the connection can be a bit unreliable.

Really great set up and even had private showers and toilets etc. rooms were easy to get into and the app is such a great idea so you don’t loose cards etc. and met amazing ladies in my room! Close to the park and the art museum, and also 15-20 min walk to main town centre and also Sydney Oprah houses.
Had to walk fair distance to get to the different types of shops. There is a metro up the road, but everything else is over 10 - 15 minutes. But I wasn’t familiar with the fact you can’t buy everything in one shop and they have specific shops for different things, and even googling a lot I was still not so sure what sold what, so would be helpful to have a guide on closest shops etc. but I found them eventually. Also not as social as I thought it would be and it felt very grouped.

Cleanest hostel I've ever seen, and it felt quite fancy as well. Showers and toilets were always clean. The kitchen was fully equipped. They had lockers for dry food and bags for refrigerated food, which was great. Breakfast was continental but very nice with a lot of options, including gluten-free. Hostel had a lot of great free activities such as yoga. Very friendly atmosphere, it was easy to talk to people and make friends. The city center is a 10-minute walk away. Overall, it's a fantastic hostel. Feels that everything was thought of.
Hostel was a bit small for the number of people, you sometimes had to wait for the showers, elevator, kitchen. Need more refrigerators. Plugs in beds were USB only and very slow, so it was hard to charge.

Situated in an admirable inner-city location opposite The Domain, this iconic yet affordable heritage building is within walking distance (20-25 minutes) to the world-renowned Sydney Opera House through the Botanic Gardens. I had a great time staying here; I especially loved socialising with other fairly outgoing international guests during breakfast and chilling out in the common areas.

The location was amazing! About a 10-15 minute walk to nearest metro/bus stops and 20 minutes to Circular Quay. Rooms/beds were clean. I was on the third floor with a balcony, which had wonderful views of the Domain. Staff was friendly and helpful. Quiet at night.
I steered clear of the kitchen most days. It was often very busy and after dinner, it was a little messy. I only used the tap to fill up my water bottle. Wifi didn't work well on the third floor in the rooms.

Being on the outskirts of the Domain it was surprisingly quiet. In walking distance to the Domain,Botanical Gardens and Harbour, perfect. The interior was clean and also quiet. The bunks were pretty sturdy and not to bad to climb to the top bunk for a 60 yr old.
As a 60yr old lady, I found the Barcode thing annoying..took a while but with help I got it on my phone. Manually pressing 7 numbers on that dial was a pain. I couldn't access the balcony as the doors were stacked with personnel belongings and luggage..
