Very good breakfast. Room OK. Good to see hotel used very much on Saturday evening. Location meant a taxi ride for me as it was about 25 minutes from Congress Theatre

Basic but clean room. Decent breakfast, very friendly and attentive staff.
Single room, dated and showing age, scuff marks and some stains. Bathroom very dated. Breakfast decent but small portion; laughably small sausage! Although helpful staff did ask if I wanted any more.

A very comfortable small hotel with laura ashley furnishings throughout. Front sea view rooms views super and armchairs to watch the wave! Traffic noise quiet when windows closed. Tea and coffee refilled and large comfortable bed. Large bathroom but small issue with hot water when using the shower. Cosy lounge as well as conservatory. Lift aged and had a mind of its own but keep your finger on '0' and you will arrive at reception not minus 1 which it will do and you need to go back to 0 ( friendly tip!) We will certainly return.
The cooked breakfast is good quality but arrived cold first day and only luke warm for the rest of our stay. This is our only niggle as we prefer hot food.

It wasn't a quiet room because it had a sea view and the main road outside, but the view of the beach made up for the noise.
The order of the room numbers was bizarre so it took me a long time to find my room.

We upgraded to king suites and the rooms were stunning. Particularly Rm 218. The sumptuous corner bath with built in Tv was delightful. The rooms are the epitome of Victorian elegance, from the carefully curated linen and luxuriant curtains, to the chandeliers within the stunning Roses. All perfectly complimented by modern extras such as, 55” television with Netflix, and glass fronted fridge. Bonuses - - Tilt and turn huge windows - you can hear and see the Sea from your room - the decadent toiletries and soft towels - incredible care of guests - amazing Christmas decorations It was just the most wonderful stay and we will definitely be back. We would particularly like to thank Richard. He is a credit to the Hospitality service and to this Hotel. He has the rare ability to put you at ease whilst making you feel special at the same time. 10/10 East Beach - see you in the New Year!
It was too hot! We had to ask for fans

A very comfortable stay for the weekend with double room and single room booked. A very nice hotel with very friendly staff. It is also dog friendly so lots of people with their dogs coming and going. There is a lounge downstairs and a seafront facing lounge seating area with bar and meals available. I contacted East Beach about my mobility problem and Ola kindly arranged for our double room to be the one on the ground floor. The room was spacious and had a good sized window view over the rear of the hotel. My sister in law was staying in the single room upstairs and as she was so hot, Ola arranged for her to have a fan and an extra duvet cover to use as a sheet. A good breakfast was included. This was served by Sarah who was also very friendly.

Location is excellent. It was just renovated and looks beautiful. Has a lovely terrace from where you can admire the ocean! Very close to the beach( just cross the street) and in a not very busy area. I think it s the nicest hotel in that area. The bed size was just fine. The people working there are lovely and helpful. Recommend
The noise behind the hotel if you stay in the rooms that are not towards the ocean. Bath not that new and clean, find a face towel that may be they forgot to change, was a bit stained or dirty. I had dinner there and food wasn,t so good, but may be it,s all right for others. The fridge was locked with the key and I could,t use it!

A very pleasant and well-appointed hotel in a great location, down at the quieter eastern end of the beach. It is much more peaceful staying here than on the main seafront to the west of the pier and access to the beach is much easier. The hotel has a nice veranda overlooking the sea and the rooms are smartly fitted out with good water pressure in the shower.
My room, number 24, was rear-facing and so quiet…apart from the extractor fan from the kitchen which was quite noisy and was running until 10pm. This would not have been such an issue had it not been a hot evening when one wanted to have the window open to cool the room. With the window closed, the fan was not so obtrusive.

An amazing dog friendly hotel. First time I had taken my little dog to a hotel and was pleasantly surprised at the way it all went. You can even bring them to breakfast in the conservatory where he was well behaved. Booked the executive room which was lovely spacious with a huge bathroom with bath and shower . Amazing views of Eastbourne and the pier. One small issue with a window that didn’t open fully and furniture looking a little tired but that is just me obsessed with 5 star rooms being spot on. Overall the staff were really lovely went above and beyond to make you comfortable even the lovely cleaning lady who worked really hard. A wonderful weekend spent with my mum and a bonus in that I could take my little man Zeus with me will definitely be returning.
Nothing really just a little issue with a window but that’s just me

Super friendly and helpful staff and amazing value for money. I only needed a bed for the night after an epic walking trek so booked a one bed rear view room. Even though the room was small and you could say a bit old fashioned I loved it, it was perfect for my needs and I sat on the chair by the window looking out over Eastbourne town. I had a fab bar meal in the lounge watching the sun gleam off the gold pier turret. With my room being so cheap I couldn’t believe breakfast was included, and imagined it would be meagre. How wrong I was! 2 eggs, 2 bacon, sausage, mushrooms, beans, tomato, fried bread, 2 pieces of toast with all the jams plus tea/coffee and fruit juice. Wow! All that whilst sitting on the seafront watching the sea swimmers. This hotel is away from the busyness of the pier area but only a short walk away, and unlike the west of the town there’s free parking in the adjacent side street. I’ll definitely be returning :)
