Hotel was clean. Breakfast was lovely, staff were helpful. Bed was comfortable. I had requested a quiet room and it was quiet.

I misunderstood how little car parking the hotel has and that I should have booked if I wanted a space, we ended up parking quite far from the hotel. The event we were going to (in Polegate) involved driving there on Saturday evening, Sunday morning and afternoon and finally on Sunday evening - 4 return trips and long walks to and from the hotel. Weather was hot and so was the room which is ok but the heater in the bathroom came on and off and it was very hot, we couldn’t work out how to switch it off.

The hotel is quaint and old-fashioned in a positive way, as I almost expected to see Miss Marple there. The free parking in the nearby streets was a bonus. From the moment that I arrived, I had a warm welcome from the reception, who were very helpful. The room and its facilities were just as i required as I was attending a conference in the town. The breakfast was well-presented and tasty - I recommend the mushroom omelette. It was a pleasure to eat in the conservatory, and I must point out that the waiters were very professional. The room was very clean and it is to the credit of the housekeeping team, who are often overlooked.

The only thing is to have more lighting outside the hotel at night as I had difficulty finding my pass key to get in after the entrance door was closed. It was only due to the security man who came out to see if I needed assistance and admitted me into the building.

We have been before and love the property. Like the e entertainment evening and the resturant is amazing ( was promised a treat for our 25th wedding anniversary while we were there but sadly it didn’t materialise) the bathroom was lovely. Loved slippers and robes a bit of luxury. Great sea view lovely big towels

The configuration of room 204 was (sorry) badly done. The bed was placed in such a way that the door could NOT possible open fully. In fact a couple of times when we came in on opening the door it banged into the bed which could’ve resulted in a bad bang to the head. Either the room needs to be a single sea view room or the bed needs to be repositioned. Also the wardrobe is on your Right as soon as you enter into the room, so you could Not have the wardrobe door open and the main door open at the same time. It seems like a small issue but the photos will show how it just didn’t work.

I went on my own so my room was smaller than i am used to, clean with a comfy bed tv coffee/tea making facilities biscuits and bottled water replenished daily. Lovely cleaning staff nothing to much trouble shampoo and washing liquid supplied, lovely soft towels changed on daily basis. Room service, room was always warm a heater if needed was supplied. Breakfast served in a conservatory area with views of pier and sea. Staff were friendly and helpful. Plenty of walks. Town was in easy walking distance. The hotel itself was very popular with guests and visitors. Plenty on offer for breakfast.

Unfortunately my room although comfortable had a view of bin alley. Thought certain things on offer were a bit expensive. Lift was a bit small. Weather was mixed but it was February

I arrived early and was going to leave my bag and explore. However my room was ready and I checked in early. Great location on the seafront and the town for me as I was going to a party. The room was a great size for a single. Dressing table/desk very useful had mirror and light. Good size bathroom, very clean with toiletries, large shower. Very comfy bed slept like a log. Breakfast must be best ever, sat in conservatory looking out to sea, loads of choice and really well presented and cooked. The staff are lovely people and really helpful. I will be back no doubt.

The Langham exudes tradition, hospitality and excellent service. It is a fine example of great British hospitality. From the moment we arrived, we could have been treated more courteously, and the staff go to great lengths to make sure guests are comfortable and relaxed. The hotel is spotlessly clean and the facilities are great. I paid for a sea view upgrade and the room was excellent. Service in the bar, reception and restaurant was impeccable. We ordered the crepe suzette which was made in front of us and a lovely touch. I do not think we could find any fault with this charming hotel.

I spared no expense as far as my budget would allow which I could just afford via your agents' at £968. It delighted mum no end to hear and recieve the gift. It angered and totally blew the whole effect though when Langham then months later approached MUM for ANOTHER £1,000 !

Excellent breakfast menu with lots of variety and if there was anything different you wanted the staff were very happy to provide this. The dining area is very pleasant. The bedroom was the perfect size with a very comfortable bed..........always got a great nights sleep. The more than average amount of furniture enables you to unpack clothes and toiletries properly (mini's also provided). Drink making facilities and TV all good. The lounge areas are very nicely furnished and spacious and there is a bar. All the staff were very friendly and helpful.

Nothing I didn't like, however, perhaps a mini fridge, particularly in the larger rooms as there is more space, would be a nice touch.

We came to Eastbourne for the weekend to meet with friends but unfortunately the weather was horrific, rain and high winds all weekend. However, the hotel was warm and welcoming our room had temperature controlled heating which warmed the room to our desired temperature in no time at all. We had a sea view and even though the skies were grey we enjoyed the view. We paid £2 for parking for 24hrs, which meant we could park opposite the hotel anywhere on the seafront. Breakfast was exceptional and beautifully presented. Restaurant staff were attentive and nothing was too much trouble. The hotel is charming and quintessentially British. Reception staff were extremely helpful and we will definitely return on our next trip to Eastbourne.

Great position on the sea front. Staff could not be more friendly and efficient.Real old fashioned hotel service great dinner menu and a first class breakfast. We had a bar snack one day and this too was excellent. Bed rooms were well appointed with very comfortable beds and pillows. Good shower and proper bath towels. Both rooms were facing the sea and had a small table and two comfortable chairs. Decent lift that is important for anyone with mobility difficulties. Very helpful and chatty night porter. Neil the owner obviously has a good training regime that instills good old fashioned hotel service. I recommend this hotel.

I drive a large car and the hotels parking spaces are narrow. Apart from a couple of really unpleasant argumentative fellow guests part of a large party I have nothing to dislike.
