location was perfect, very short drive to both the pier and Haad Rin (we we’re visiting for full moon party). Staff we’re so friendly, helped us to hire a motorbike which we were able to keep for the whole week.

I extended my stay after 6 nights to another two days at the deluxe queen room and i could've stayed there for longer - the AC was perfect, the room itself like a garden house with a little terrace in front. Had a kettle for the first coffee/tea to enjoy out there. Could also change the lighting inside from an intense white to a more warm and that made it very cozy. For me it was very quiet, so i could sleep easy. Also the person helping me carry my luggage to the first room, gave a great tip where to rent a motorbike and it was also a trustworthy service.

What exceeded our expectations was the friendliness of the host/owner. He gave us many tips of places to visit and where to eat, also shared his number to contact in case there are any problems. Very lovely service!

sometimes a unpleasent smell was pleasent in the room, coming from the toilet or airco. the entrance to the scooter parking area can be improved. Its a gravel road at the moment and the scooters need to be parked under big trees. Because of this there were big red ants on our scooter a few times.

We had a great stay in Billabong. The owner, Sascha and his team were excellent. Super helpful and attentive. Our aircon stopped working one morning and we were moved to another room and also given a discount on the extra night we added to our stay. Nice pool and restaurant. The room was spacious and clean. There's also a scooter rental right across the road, which was helpful.

The hotel was located at the back and it was nice and peaceful! The staff were very friendly and very helpful!

The door was not able to lock as the latch could not catch the other door and there was also no safety box to put things away in. I could at least lock it from indoors with the other bolts they have. As a result I took all my valueables to my friends hotel. Very inconvenient and insecure.

With this hotel, I finally got a chance to relax and enjoy myself after four weeks in this area. The location is just perfect. In spite of being close to all the main areas, I was able to sleep in a spacious and quiet room. The bed was very comfortable and the room was exceptionally clean. In addition to the location, cleanliness and a great (and affordable) kitchen, the staff made a huge difference. Any question I had was helped quickly with always a big smile on their face. It really makes one feel at home. Thank you for your great accommodation - I will come back!

The queen bed was super comfy which was a nice surprise, the room was a decent size too and had several lighting options. I can’t stand it when I stay somewhere and it only has 1 light setting. The water pressure of the shower was next level too, nearly took a layer of my skin off but in a good way. Most showers in Thailand have zero water pressure so I was impressed!

Only down side was the curtains, if I needed to have any daylight then I needed to open the curtains fully but then everyone can see in. so I would suggest maybe having a net curtain added for the ground floor rooms.

Clean Good wifi More clean and more modern than most hotels in ban tai area

- Noisy, not from the road of Ban Tai because the rooms are far from it but from the inside, the walls are so thin that you can hear your neighbors snore, also there are roosters in cages just behind the building and the poor cries of the morning and evening. - Sunlight in the head due to the small window in the bathroom which is not covered.

Big rooms with lots of storage space, comfy bed, hot shower and really clean (housekeeping every day if wanted). Lovely pool and really helpful and friendly reception staff.

Was on the pricier side however may have been due to the time of year we visited (over New Year)

We stayed at Billabong Hotel for 2 nights for Full Moon Party and really enjoyed our stay. The hotel is in a good location - close to several restaurants, bars, 7/11 etc. The restaurant/pool area is tastefully decorated and the room was comfortable. The hotel arranged a taxi for us to Haad Rin beach for the Full Moon Party for 150 THB per person, which is good value. The German owner is a nice guy and the staff are friendly.
