Amazing atmosphere in house and grounds, exactly what we were looking for. First of all Anne must be commended for being incredibly accommodating regarding some logistical challenges we had in getting to Inverness from Edinburgh, and for this alone I would leave a five star review. Room suite was spectacular with a gorgeous and outstandingly comfortable bed. Food expertly prepared and staff were generally attentive.
We felt that perhaps due to being sandwiched between two weddings with some guests whose presence wasn't always... soothing, the staff felt a bit overstretched and at times forgot to tend the fireplace, which would have been no issue if we were permitted to look after it ourselves but this was also expressly forbidden. We appreciated nevertheless that the staff took great pains to be as professional and attentive as possible.

Family run with excellent local people Nothing was too much trouble Lovely location on the foreshore Impressive furnishings The food was original and well executed. No need to eat out -fortunate as we were refused a hire car. Too old !!
This beautiful hotel has been persuaded that Muzak is a good idea. Continuous background musical wallpaper disturbs the otherwise wonderful atmosphere. Fortunately I sensed the staff feel the same way as it was at a low level. Turn it right off and remove the ugly loudspeakers. The dining room was impressive but I am not a fan of lighting with ceiling spots. Easy forgotten once one was seated.

Location is perfect with full vibe of Scottish Highlands. Though a historical house since 1621, Bunchrew has been renovated and maintained so good and functioning so well. The landscape and the view on the other bank is really typical for Scottish Highlands that made you don't want to leave the property. Dinner and breakfast were so nice as they were awarded with many accolades.
The small milk bottle in the fridge could be better replaced with a small individual package from the manufacturer as your refillable ones now has neither any label nor expiry date on it.

We were in the Lovat suite, which is on the front of the house with a garden view. Very large with a king-sized canopy bed and a nice bathroom. Wonderfully creaky floors, which is just right for a very old house. We loved relaxing in the drawing room by the wood fire. The staff were all fantastic. The breakfasts were made to order and delicious. The grounds are maintained beautifully, and the location is great - only 10 minutes to Inverness. The water view is so lovely and the whole thing is perfectly romantic.
Our room could use some updated, more comfortable seating options. You need a chiropractor after sitting on the chaise.

From the moment you are driving down the long driveway you feel the essence of the property's history and elegance. The property sits on the loch overlooking the sun rise and sun set with the massive water out back. In the front are huge trees 400+ years old and well maintained grounds. They called this a house but this is a stately mini castle with canopy beds, luxurious sheets, towels, and quality of furniture. My group felt like Lords and ladies here! We dined for dinner and breakfast and the staff provided a timely and quality experience. Well done!
Nothing to complain about, fantastic property!

The hotel is full of history and character and has lots of public spaces where guests can relax and enjoy the view from the windows. Our standard double room was very comfortable, and traditionally decorated with clan tartans and antique furniture. It was well equipped with everything we needed including a little fridge with fresh milk for tea and coffee. The bathroom was quite spacious with a shower over the bath. The hotel restaurant is excellent, serving tasty dishes made with fresh local ingredients. The staff were very friendly and helpful and carried our bags up the stairs to our room. It’s a lovely hotel with all the character you would expect from such an historic building set in a quiet, country location with guest parking on site.
The wifi is not very strong which is possibly due to the thick walls. The plumbing is a bit noisy if you are staying in a room on the first floor.

We absolutely loved loved loved our stay at Bunchrew House ❤️ we decided to have a little romantic getaway and I had read such good reviews about this place it seemed like a good choice - and it sure was! The room was comfortable and big, the two rosette fine dining restaurant was seriously delicious and even the bar menu was excellent. The staff are super friendly, helpful and always smiling and nothing is too much trouble. Finally the Country House itself is beautiful, historic and full of stories. It's a testament to the hotel owners for keeping this place in such good condition and the attention to detail in the house is incredible. The views to the Beauly Firth are also stunning, even on dark and rainy December days.

The property is beautiful, with an amazing view of the waters. It is quiet and serene to sit by the water. Breakfast and dinner was great. A couple of staff members (one woman in particular, and I am so sorry I don't remember your name) were very warm and welcoming. She arranged for the chef to prepare sticky toffee pudding for us because we loved it in Scotland. This particular staff was also very kind and helped us check in and carry our heavy suitcases up 2 flights of stairs (my husband has physical restrictions due to a neurologic condition).
The Bunchrew House, while beautiful, is located away from the Inverness city center without any easy public transport. If you do not have a car, you will need to book taxis for every visit outside, even if it is for a quick lunch. However, the staff was helpful in booking the taxis for us. Our main issue was the outdated staircases which are a problem for those with physical restrictions. I'd say overall, it is overpriced and not a good bang for our bucks. I'm glad I got to stay here this once and experience the rich history and beautiful location, and especially the kind staff. Unlikely I will do it again.

The hotel looks like a fairytale castle and the location is stunning, on the bank of the Beauly Firth. Our room had a huge wetroom with large waterfall shower and the beds were very comfortable. We dined in the restaurant and the food was wonderful, both at dinner and at breakfast, with everything you could wish for. All the staff we encountered were lovely and there was a ceilidh with live music in the evening which was for anyone who wanted to participate. We would highly recommend Bunchrew House Hotel and look forward to returning in the future.
Nothing.

Bunchrew House is a gem! The property is unbelievably gorgeous, first of all. Driving to the property and parking were a breeze. The hotel is just far enough from Inverness to be quiet and lovely, but close enough to take a cab/ drive cheaply. The restaurant was elegant and everything we ate (which was nearly everything on the menu) was delicious. The staff were friendly and helpful, and even took time to chat with us about the local history and sites of interest. We will certainly return!
The free WiFi was patchy, but we were happy to unplug anyway.
