The location was spectacular. The staff was very kind and helpful.
There was barely any room for clothes (e.g. no drawers, very little room for hanging, poor reading lights, ). The staff resolved our issues to the best of their ability (e.g. brought better reading lights and an additional chair, secured a second key so that each of us could have one key). Another thing that we did not appreciate is that we were misinformed about the parking situation, which turned out to be far more difficult, and expensive - 24 pounds per day rather than 6 - that we had been informed in repeated reservation emails. The staff was kind enough to fix that and honor the difference.

Loved the location and our sea view room was Lovely, also the weather was gorgeous so that was a bonus. The staff were very pleasant and welcoming. The bed was soooo comfy too. A lovely stay at the Oyster House.
In a certain light I noticed that the towel rail was really dusty and hadn’t been cleaned for some time, it wasn’t noticeable at first but then at a certain time of day it was really noticeable. Also the shower water was not draining away quickly, it was quite deep at one point and took a while to drain away, if no one has mentioned it then you won’t be aware of it.

The staff were incredibly friendly and professional. The food in the restaurant in the evening was very good. The breakfast which was included in our room rate was exceptional. We had a vegetarian option which was extremely good both in quality, choice and quantity. Also we loved that the rooms had a proper kettle and coffee machine with actual cups and saucers and that there was fresh milk in the fridge. The usb phone charger next to the bed was very useful and the rooms were presented so there was plenty space to move around and get ready. Very nicely thought out. It was quite fun to have a real key to the room too rather than those electronic cards that never work.
The bed wasn't very comfortable but that could be personal taste as it was very soft. There also wasn't a safe in the room

Really lovely place however we very nearly turned around and went home so just be careful because as you drive towards the mumbles there is a property with a similar name so don’t confuse one with the other if you’re going to visit it’s definitely Oyster house you would be foolish to drive past give this place a try it’s relatively newly refurbished and is absolutely lovely, the staff were really friendly and helpful and just a great location to be, definitely going to visit again thankyou

Great location on the waterfront amidst trendy restaurants and bars. Beautiful decor in the rooms and restaurant. We ate breakfast at the hotel which was very good and great setting.
It's a little odd that you check in through the restaurant and that there are no dedicated hotel staff to speak of but the check-in and check-out process went well with the restaurant staff! We were unable to speak with a person over the phone when one of our group left some clothes behind in the room but they did contact us a few days later to let us know they had found the items and would send them on by mail - much appreciated. We had a balcony room on the first floor with sea view - on the first floor there is a roof top bar right next to the balconies that looks right into the room which was no problem when we were there as the bar is only open at weekends but could have been noisy at weekends - not sure how late the bar stays open.

The staff were amazingly friendly, helpful and welcoming. The service was brilliant and they were able to offer information about the local area and places to visit. The breakfasts were fantastic, freshly cooked to order and beautifully presented as well as delicious.
If I am being picky, the duvet was a bit too heavy for the time of year and we were a bit over hot, but were able to sleep with the window open a bit. A summer weight duvet would have been more appropriate. The parking was a bit annoying having to get up every day to top up, but again it was a minor inconvenience, and well worth it for the superb location.

We had a lovely room on the terrace with a sea view, the bed was great, really comfortable and lovely bedding. The breakfast was lovely, nothing was too much trouble for the staff. A very nice 2 night stay.
The towel rail looked fine, however it was very dusty and looked like it hadn’t been dusted for a long time. Also when having a shower the bath was filling up and didn’t drain away very quickly. Something you probably wouldn’t know about unless someone draws it to your attention.

The location is excellent although no onsite parking. There is a car park a short distance away but it still means lugging bags along the road and if you’re elderly it might not suit you. There is a lift in the hotel. Breakfast was ok, served at table. The room was very nicely decorated. The lady who checked us in and served breakfast was pleasant and helpful.
We would have preferred a buffet style breakfast with more choice. The room only had one full length mirror but no plug socket anywhere near it to plug in the hairdryer. There was no mirror above the table near the sockets.

The staff, the room was very nicely laid out, linen and and bed were very comfortable. Restaurant was lovely, great food and great service.
Parking! If you are paying over £200 for a hotel room, you get a bit annoyed when you have to park 300 metres away and pay for parking (only £6). but begs the question why the hotel haven’t just bought some spaces near the hotel and put the £6 on the price? The hotel/restaurant doesn’t really work, there’s no reception or clear and obvious area, had to queue at the bar to ask for my room. Also the constant emails before during and after, I have had at least 8 in the 3 days after leaving.

The breakfast was great, especially the plant-based option of the yoghurt parfait. The meat-free sausages were terrible though. Croissants amazing! The pub is really lovely and lunch the day before was also great. It was a really lovely, quaint place to stay and would love to return again. Comfortable beds and pillows and I Iove that there was a door you could open for air. The decor is beautiful too.
The only let down was a few hairs (not mine because of the colour) were left in the bathroom, on the floor and basin and for the quality throughout the rest of the hotel I wouldn't expect that.
