The hosts Marissa and Simon are so friendly, kind and helpful. The rooms are big and super clean. The property is peaceful plus the staff is always there to assist with every need.

No A/C in room that is the only thing, everything else is really good!

Amazing place! All staff were very helpful and especially welcoming and friendly owners who were always taking care that we would have everything what is needed and will feel like at home. Room was spacious, precisely clean, modern and very nicely decorated. Perfect variety of delicious breakfast. Lunch and dinner options are also very good with reasonable prices. The hotel surroundings are unexceptionable with a lot of green plants, blue and clean pool - a true oasis of peace. Even though rooms don’t have a/c, fan working so well that the room temperature was more than perfect. Highly recommend this beautiful and charming place!

Where do I start!? I had the best time staying here. From the get go I felt welcomed by the owners, it's almost like visiting your relatives (like your favourite aunt or something) because you immediately feel at home. All the staff are lovely. The hotel is beautifully decorated and thoughtfully designed - like the adjustable light for the mirror in the bathroom. The pool is clean and it was very easy to sit around and relax all day. And I love that each room has its own private little patio where you can relax also. The food is ...*chefs kiss! I didn't have a meal I didn't like, one of the owners is a chef and you can tell! The breakfasts were great and there are plenty of choices and...proper coffee!! And to top it all off if you're an animal lover they have the friendliest dog and some cats pottering around which always makes me feel more at home!

Marisa and her husband Simon are amazing. Two very good entrepreneurs with a lot of experience in hospitality (he is a chef as well). They were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was delicious and we also had one dinner there which was really good. The location is very nice, really close to the beach (3min walk) and other good restaurants. The hotel itself is beautiful and the rooms are big, very clean and comfortable. Definitely recommend!

Every was great! One of the best boutique hotel in Zanzibar, the hosts are amazing, the food is incredibly tasty and the room are cleaned every date, impeccable!

Clean, comfortable, stylish, great attention to detail, lots of sockets, lights, great fan and shower, the complimentary water, plenty of towels, a small fridge and lovely shampoo and shower wash. The owners went out of their way to ensure I was happy and were very friendly and helpful. Excellent breakfast too and nothing was too much trouble for the owners, they made me feel so so welcomed.

We had a wonderful stay at Aurora Boutique Hotel. Our room was lovely and spotlessly clean, and we loved the balcony overlooking the pool and garden… a beautiful view by day and a magical star-gazing spot by night. Aurora is incredibly peaceful - perfect for a calm and rejuvenating getaway. The breakfasts and fresh juices were delicious. The hotel is very well-located, and is only a short walk away from the beach, local restaurants and various activities. We hope to visit again soon!

Beautiful small boutique hotel in Zanzibar! Short walk to a quiet beach that is gorgeous. The pool was amazing and the rooms were super clean and spacious! Loved all of the food that we had here as well, some of the best meals we had during our trip to Tanzania and Zanzibar by far! The owners also did an amazing job helping us organize different activities and taxi rides!

The wifi was a little spotty at times but other than that it was a great stay!

We liked the warm welcome from the hosts and staff. The property is not on the beach but access is easy by walking through the village. The property restaurant is managed by an Italian chef, the food is excellent. It’s next level to what we find in the area. We had diner for the four nights of our stay!. Jambiani is a nice quiet beach.

The best thing about the hotel is the assistance you get from the host. She goes above and beyond to make your stay as comfortable and pleasurable as possible (she also assists with getting a car/bike rental for your stay which is recommended if you’re not joining a tour). The rooms are spacious. It may not be a beachfront property but the pool is a good place to start when it’s too hot and the walk to the beach is short but it has a lot of seaweed. We did not try dinner but breakfast was good (and included) - there are some restaurants within a short drive as alternative options. The property lost power in one of the afternoons but they have a generator to take over till power is restored.

Next door is a bar and they play live music some nights (mostly Saturday nights I believe) which can get on the way of your rest - it can be quite loud. They do not have A/C, only a ceiling fan in case that’s a commodity you cannot go without in the Tanzanian weather.
