We are regulars as the hotel is perfectly located on our trip to snd from Switzerland. The staff is always very friendly and welcoming. The rooms are a fair size and the beds very comfortable. Great also as we can bring our dog. Restaurant is welcoming with its terrace and the surroundings allow a nice walk with the fog. Price value is excellent.

It works but it would be nice if the showers/bathrooms would get a little update. Change of shower screen and plugs, grouting renewed. It’s definitely tired and starts looking a bit shabby.

We have stayed at the Campanile a few times now on our way to Italy as it is near the Frejus tunnel. The rooms are geared for travellers but they are clean and functional and even have a tea/coffee tray with biscuits and kettle which is quite unusual for this type of stop over. We eat at the restaurant and the food and service is always good. Breakfast is exceptional and there is plenty of choice including some hot dishes, pancakes as well as the usual croissants and cakes.

They do accept dogs but not in the restaurant which is fine if the weather is ok as there is plenty of seating outside but if not you would probably need to take a tray of food to your room.

Location and accessible for us on route to Italy and back to France. Enjoy the restaurant on premises, food good, comfortable, clean, staff pleasant. One night stop.over after long drive, very restful within a landscape and secure parking. Great for our little dog too.

Appearance if the stairway could be improved , finish and fresh paint, bit draby.

Comfortable, clean, quiet location accessible by car to town. Area is a mix of residential and commercial, not attractive but not unpleasant. Good restaurant on premise with fine cuisine, which was a great asset for tired travellers. The nice surrounding landscape softens the motel like experience.

Although pet friendly, unlike other French restaurants, dogs were not allowed inside. A pet was allowed outside restaurant' s terrace , which worked only with good weather.

We use the Campanile as a nights stop over if we drive down to Italy. It's clean and comfortable and our dog is allowed in our room not in the restaurant. Evening menu is very good and the breakfast is excellent.

Nothing really. It would be helpful if the dog was allowed in the restaurant particularly if the weather is bad and the restaurant is only basic. However it wouldn't stop us from booking as it's a good stop over and easy to find in Chambery.

From the outside, it wasn’t very appealing - a bit tired and run-down in an area of cheap budget hotels. However once inside things were different - a clean and comfortable room with kettle provided, plus all the amenities you would expect in a 3 star hotel. Secure parking and a really good restaurant completed the package.

A Motel type establishment that seems quite modern. Nice dining room and we had a lovely evening meal here. Buffet breakfast had good selection and set us up well for the day. Very friendly and helpful staff. Clean and comfy rooms of a good size. Good shower.

No negative comments.

A comfortable hotel - although the room was on the small side it was clean and there was even a kettle and tea bags which was well reserved after travelling from Italy. We had an evening meal in the restaurant which was very good - we had the entrecote steak cooked perfectly and the buffet dessert which was excellent. The young girl that served us in the evening spoke some English and was efficient and very pleasant.

The hotel was advertised as dog friendly and there was a small payment which is to be expected. Unfortunately our dog wasn't allowed in the restaurant, although he is a very quiet rescue dog, and we therefore had to put our coats on and eat outside in the cold. As we hadn't come across this in the other hotels we stayed at during our travel through France and Italy, it would put us off booking here again, particularly in the Autumn or Winter months.

The room was clean and tidy and the air con and TV worked, there was pressure to the water in the bathroom sink and the soap dispensers were full. The breakfast selection was good.

The cardboard cups provided for making tea and coffee are not really suitable for hot boiling water.

Convenient location. We have stayed here before and use as a stop over on the way to Italy. Really handy having a restaurant which means you don't need to start looking for places to eat. We were able to chill after a long drive before the last leg of our journey.
