Such a lovely stay. Lovely welcome and wonderful surprise of a birthday card and balloons in the room after I put a little note on the booking that it was my sister's birthday. Great pool, plenty of seating around it and lovely treat of steam room and sauna included in our stay. Good location for visiting Ironbridge museums and good walk into Ironbridge itself. 21,000 steps done in one day!

The changing rooms for the pool were possibly a little small for hotel guests, gm members and spa users. The floor could have done with a wipe over. But these really were the only little negatives about the whole experience and were far outweighed by positives.

Staff were exceedingly polite and helpful at reception, in the restaurant and during room service. Reception provided guidance on excellent alternative places to eat and a minor problem with the room refrigerator was reported and corrected within hours by the room staff. Breakfast was buffet style but there was a full range of well prepared choices and dishes such as scrambled eggs could be provided to order at no extra cost - overall excellent.

Machine based coffee provided was ok, much better than the old style filter coffee kept warm for hours, but maybe we expect more these days.

Friendly staff, nice buffet breakfast. Nice size swimming pool and nice saunas. Menu prices not overly expensive as can find at places like this. As place wasn't busy, we got a free upgrade with mini bar in which was a nice touch.

Silly things like no shoes for use in the spa like often find in places like these. Had to use robes from your room instead of those at the spa. They were only niggly bits as nothing really there I didn't like.

Beautiful views, staff were brilliant, really attentive and friendly. We got a free upgrade for our anniversary, ballon’s and an anniversary card left in our room which was such a lovely touch! The room was lovely, cleans and comfortable with beautiful views over the countryside. We had dinner in the evening and I have an allergy and it wasn’t a problem, they made sure everything was perfect and the food was amazing. The service was also top notch as well, speedy and really friendly. Reception staff were great as well, let us check in slightly early and really kind. Overall, we had a lovely stay and would definitely return again!

Room was very warm, but there was a fan provided in the room already which was great.

All facilities were lovely especially the pool.

I set up an account for payment but was not told they would allow £50 per day plus the accommodation cost and block my debit card for this sum. I therefore had a shortage of funds for my holiday since I had no intention of spending £50 per day. If I has been told about the £50 per day provision I would never have set up an account. I would have paid as I went. And then I had to wait 2 days before I was refunded once I booked out at the end of my stay. The receptionist obviously didn't either didn't know her job or forgot this important information. Lots of us are on a budget these days.

Excellent facilities with a lovely spa and pool, steam room and gym. Golf if you like it with lovely views. Room was well equipped. Above the staff were very helpful and friendly, everywhere, reception lovely lady and also breakfast, which was excellent too. Also cater for gluten free people

No fridge in my room but a last minute room change, so I would not be disturbed by a Christmas party, and they stored my stuff at reception in the fridge. So not really a negative and great work by the lady on reception!

The food was extremely good value with very good choices. The breakfast in particular was exceptional: so many choices for all, catering for gluten free, vegan too. The facilities in the room were very good too: we particularly appreciated the walk in shower as one of us has a temporary mobility problem, although we did not ask for this beforehand. The indoor swimming pool was excellent too. The golf facilities seemed perfect although my husband didn’t use them this time but plans to return. We must compliment the staff in the restaurant. We were also particularly impressed by the receptionist on duty when we arrived and left but didn’t know her name. She was professional and friendly. Many thanks.

We could not find anything we didn’t like so cannot make any suggestions here.

The breakfast was very good and plenty of selection. The room was good and it was a nice touch having a little upgrade, thank you. Staff were always polite, friendly and helpful. Room was cleaned to a good standard everyday. The location was good to what we needed. Please don't think the negatives outweigh the positives for this hotel. Would definitely stay again, albeit eat out elsewhere for dinner. Had a lovely holiday. Thank you

We couldn't control the air con/heating and there was a build up of condensation on the windows and it was too cold to open the windows, we struggled to control the temperature of the room. We had dinner one night in the restaurant and sadly found it to be overpriced for the standard of food. The chips were soggy and not warm. The cheeseboard was not good and very overpriced for 3 small slices of not good quality cheese with some standard crackers, not the sourdough crackers listed. The service was very slow as well.

The room was very comfortable ,the member of the cleaning staff extremely helpful and the breakfast very good.

Unfortunately when it came to the evening meal with my daughter who came to visit ,we were very disappointed with the extremely long wait for the meal to be served ,despite the fact we were the first ones there at 6 oclock . A good 40 minutes which seemed excessive . As a result we chose to eat out elsewhere. the following evenings of my stay.

The pool in the spa was good, but a little cold. Breakfast choices were good and staff at breakfast were excellent.

No lift in Darby House, and a long walk for someone with health issues. Cold room and extra heaters in room weren’t able to warm up and keep the room warm. Room information form said extra pillows were available but none there. Additional dishes on breakfast menu at extra charge, when ordered they were unavailable. The steam room was out of order and had been for a while.
