The hotel is nicely decorated and in a great location. The neighborhood is quiet and very peaceful at night. The hotel staff is extremely friendly. Before our arrival, they were very responsive on the Booking chat, answering all inquiries within 15 minutes. Upon request, they moved us to a double room without hesitation, and on the day of our arrival, we had the option to store our luggage in a secure storage room, which made things much easier since we landed early in the morning. The rooms are clean and tidy, with the option for daily housekeeping available.

For the amenities offered, the room is a bit pricey. It would be nice if they provided toiletries, or at least shampoo that isn’t a 3-in-1 soap, shampoo, and body wash. I understand it’s clear that the bathroom isn’t a separate room, but the divider between the bed and the “bathroom” is a very transparent curtain. This can be a bit inconvenient if you’re sharing the room with someone who isn’t your partner or a very close person, as everything is visible. So maybe skip it case of a more formal trip.

I like the concept of sustainable tourism and the idea behind Magdas hotels (which are run as social business). The staff is friendly, the breakfast good if a tad pricy. Train and underground stations are within a walking distance, so is the centre of Vienna.

I understand it was an unfortunate coincidence that BOTH elevators were out of order, and, truth be told, for me and my daughter it wasn't too difficult to climb the five floors. However, if I had travelled with an elderly person (or if I had visited the hotel a month ago when I had serious problems with my knee), it would have been a different story.

Room was excellent - quiet and comfortable. Bed was a little harder than I'm used to but quite standard for Europe and I slept fine. I really like the environmentally friendly ethos, and despite not eating there the bar and food area all looked wonderful - I sat outside for a couple of drinks and the vibe was excellent. Will definitely stay here again next time work brings me to Vienna.

Only slight issue was the wifi - it requires a login every day. I had a video meeting that ran over midnight - the perils of our modern world, and the wifi cut me out after midnight and dropped my call. Would be nice if it reset at 3am or so instead, if it's going to require daily re-consenting.

We really enjoyed eating our breakfast in the garden and the quietness of the neighbourhood. Ate in the Greek restaurant meze meze close by one evening and it was excellent. It so easy to walk to many of the 23 districts from there or combining it with taking public transport. So great to support the social/economic strategy of the hotel. In the end we are all “travellers” in the world. Keep up the good will and we wish all the best for the hotels future and it’s good vibe🌸

Maybe double check your først aid box for proper disinfection liquid. You did not have any proper but i had brought sterile saltwater, so everything was fine in the end. My husbond had a little accident and needed some disinfection and plaster from the hotel😉

The hotel is located only 15-30 minutes walk from the city centre (depending on where in the centre you need to be). The rooms are creatively decorated, and the beds are comfortable (but on the harder side). Thumbs up for the good sound proofing: we did not hear any noise neither from the neighbouring rooms nor from outside, although our windows looked out onto a street with tramline. Another interesting feature is that the building is a converted residence for priests, so the hotel has its own chapel. The breakfast was also nice - there was enough variety and there were also several vegan options, in addition to the usual hotel breakfast stuff, they offered a selection of Mediterranean style snacks. The staff were also lovely and really helpful. All in all, we had a great stay. Some practical things: 1. the hotel toiletries do not include hair conditioner or proper shampoo, so bring your own if you use such products. 2. There is a kettle in the room but no refrigerator 3. We had a wheelchair with us, and it worked fine, the rooms and the breakfast area were accessible. The bathroom was not adapted for wheelchair users, but maybe you can request a room with an accessible bathroom, we didn’t request it.

This was a great boutique design-ish hotel in the center of Vienna. The staff was exceptionally friendly, which might sometimes be a challenge in this nice city. The facilities are well maintained and equipped. Minimalistic but modern and funky design. We already booked this place for our next stay in Vieanna.

Breakfast not included in the price and seemed a bit pricey for the local 'breakfast market'. But that was ok, we enjoyed it in other places which are walkable distance from the hotel. Some might find weird the room setup that shower/sink are connected to the bedroom, but it was kind of interesting design approach.

The journey to the hotel from the airport was quite straightforward and easy. We took the S7 train from the airport and walked a further 5 minutes to get to the hotel. The staff was friendly and easy to talk to, the room was clean and spacious. There was luggage storage space before check-in and after check-out which was very useful as our flight in was an early morning one and out was a late evening one. The beds were soft and comfortable. We asked to have our room cleaned 3 out of the 4 nights we were staying there for and the cleaning staff did an incredible job every time. The hotel is very centrally located and is within walking distance from most touristy places. I would definitely recommend staying here.

While the whole experience was amazing, the only thing that both my friend and I absolutely hated was the toilet paper. It might sound like a silly criticism but it was honestly the only inconvenience we had to face while staying at Magdas. The toilet paper felt like sandpaper and was extremely rough, almost like actual writing paper. By day 2 we both had terrible chafing, paper burns and some bleeding. At first we thought the bad loo rolls might just be an Austrian thing but we soon realised it was an issue only limited to our hotel. I would highly recommend the team switch their toilet paper company. But with this one exception, the rest of our stay was beyond pleasant and we had an amazing time staying at Magdas hotel.

The hotel has a wonderful position, near to public services (5min walking from the metro in rochusmarkt), nicely decorated, the room is spacious and very clean, and the staff is very nice. The bathroom (shower and sink) is separated by the bed by a curtain, while the toilet has its own tiny room with door. We are used to this solution, since we have lived in Vienna for long time, but I can understand it may be received not well by some guests.

The mattress was quite hard, perhaps a topper could help? There weren't drawers or wardrobe to accommodate our dresses, but only shelves and crutches, that can be a problem for stays longer than a couple of nights We have read that they also offer mini apartment, we will probably try that solution next time! The price for the breakfast was quite high.

Good location, walking distance from the Wien Mitte-Landstrasse train station that we arrived from the airport into. Also easily accessible to trams and the metro. Rooms were a good size, quiet and very clean. The decor was very nice, quirky yet modern Scandinavian style. Very comfortable beds. The bathroom was good, great shower and the soap smelt divine! The staff were all extremely helpful and friendly. We have no complaints and would stay there again.

It wasn't really a problem but we would have liked to have had an evening meal there but this was limited and on the Sunday the bar closed early. This may be different during the busier months.

The hotel is in a quiet neighborhood, yet 8 minutes walking from Wien-Mitte station which connects with the airport, and a tram line runs right in front of the hotel. The concept of the hotel is amazing, the staff is super nice. You can leave your luggage here until your room is ready (we had an early train arrival) and head for the city. The rooms are big, with the bonus of a balcony and it's so quiet around that you can sleep with your windows open. The beds and pillows are very comfy. They have a heavenly-smelling liquid soap in the rooms that you can purchase downstairs. If I ever visit Viena again, I will be back in Magdas.

There was nothing that I didn't like in this hotel.
