Nkhosi is a great choice for those who want the peace and quiet of the Zambian countryside, but still be able to enjoy all that Zambia has to offer. The property has everything that you need including on call massage therapist and staff that will help you book excursions for all your days in Zambia! I loved that the property was ZAMBIAN owned and sustainable! The staff are SO kind and helpful, and great to chat with! You will definitely feel at home at here. Rooms are great and BIG!

Sometimes there are power outages, but that is Africa! Just a heads up for those who are unfamiliar with that! Would love to have had more Zambian food options on the meal menus.

The hotel is located at a distance from the city, closer to the Victoria Falls, in a rather picturesque place. It is run by a wonderful woman who has managed to create a good team. As soon as you head to the pool (which, by the way, offers a beautiful view), someone is already rushing there to check the cleanliness. Another person carries towels, another brings a fan to the room, everything works like a well-oiled machine. It is also worth noting the possibility of dining in the hotel restaurant and a good breakfast. The room is very clean, comfortable, and large. Honestly, we were very regretful that we spent only one night there. Thank you, Natasha!

We came as a big group and had booked all but one of the rooms - and had an exceptional stay! The staff went above and beyond throughout our visit and were so lovely the whole time, the rooms were really spacious with lots of nice touches - including chitenge dressing gowns that everyone loved to wear around the lodge! Would recommend having some spa treatments during your stay - a few people in the group had the Zambian massage and it was exceptional. The food was really good, though you have to order a bit in advance for dinner service. The pool area and bar area is really lovely to hang out during the day.

Great stay, fully recommended. Very peaceful setting, large and very clean rooms. The restaurant was surprisingly good, we really enjoyed dinner and breakfast. Staff is very nice and welcoming. Overall, great value compared to other accommodation in Livingstone.

The location is great in that is so peaceful and quiet and less than 10 minutes away from the falls by car. The problem is that you need a order a taxi from the hotel if you want to go anywhere and that will cost around USD 15 each way. If you have a car or pre-booked excursions that will not be an issue, but if you want to spontaneously go for dinner in Livingstone that might add to the cost. Having said that, I would not hesitate to stay here again.

Nkhosi Lodge stands out amongst the other accommodations in Livingstone. It is beautifully designed, incorporating elements of the natural environment around it. It sits slightly above the surrounding area and so you get a nice, natural panoramic view from the pool deck and dining area. The room was surprisingly spacious and well-designed. The staff was friendly and well-informed about activities in the area and the chef was accommodating about food requests. Excellent value for money. You will need transport, since it's about 20 minutes from the main road, which is itself 10-20 minutes from the city center. Special shout out to Chris, Jelina and Natasha for their excellent service. Nkhosi is a vision of what the Zambian lodge industry can be: thoughtful and well-designed while not exorbitantly priced.

The menu could have incorporated more of the Zambian cuisine. It did have a few local items, but I found it heavily skewed towards a more Western diet. The lodge is nestled within the scenic outskirts of Livingstone, yet the menu did not convey this. It was a missed opportunity to tie in local dishes and allow guests to try things they might not have the chance to try elsewhere. The windows had a wire mesh installed to prevent pests from entering, which was useful, but prevented the windows from fully closing.

A lovely tranquil stay located on the outskirts of Livingstone and only 10 minutes away from the Victoria Falls. Our room was clean and spacious with air conditioning, and a great place to relax if you’ve been out and about. The lodge facilitated booking for all our activities (game drive, mukuni village and devils pool) which certainly made my our lives easier - and they were able to arrange taxis and airport pick up/drop off. Make sure you have plenty of cash on you as you’ll need it for taxis and purchasing any souvenirs (it’s about a 20 minute drive to the city centre). Special shout out to Natasha, Chris and Biggie who made our stay a delightful experience. We would definitely visit again. P.s. if you have a clear night, take a moment to look up and gaze at the stars. Really quite breathtaking - especially if you’re from a city!

No complaints ☺️

I loved my stay here. The rooms are big and comfortable. Beautifully decorated. The staff, Natasha, Biggi and Chris are wonderful and assisted us in all our needs. I enjoyed star gazing at night in the lovely garden. The pool was very inviting and clean. The resturant food was delicious. We had dinner and breakfast. Huge portions and very tasty, thanks to the chef. Natasha organized our activities which we enjoyed. Such a peaceful place to stay at. Great value for money. I would recommend it to everyone.

The hotel looked new, with a clean decoration, very comfortable room and common spaces. The bed was very comfortable and everything was very clean. AC was not amazing. The pool is definitely the best spot.

Food could be better, same as service. The wifi was a nightmare. If you want to do several activities around Victoria Falls and do not have your own means of transportation, would not recommend as it is located far apart from town and taxis can be expensive.

The lodge is located outside Livingstone and only 10 minutes away from Victoria Falls. All excursions and transfers were organized for us by the lodge, which made it very easy for us as tourists. We especially liked the pool, which was large and cooled off. Breakfast and dinner were also offered. I would describe breakfast as typically English and there was a nice selection in the evening. The food was always very tasty and the staff were always very friendly. We were given a house, which was quite large. The furnishings were okay, there wasn't a lot of furniture in it, but everything we needed was there. The water pressure is rather low and the water sometimes didn't get cold because it was probably too hot outside. But that wasn't a big problem.

We were at the lodge in November and it was 35 degrees (Celsius) on average. Because it was so hot outside, the house got extremely hot. There is air conditioning in the house, but it doesn't come close to cooling the house down to a comfortable temperature. The evenings and nights were far too hot for us.

They have super friendly staff they tried everything to make our stay as comfortable as possible and the location is very calm and quiet. Everything was clean, the place has quite modern furniture and we had a huge room. The food was good as well and we could order it at any time of the day. At daytime we could relax at the pool and in the evening we even could sit at a fire pit.

You should either bring a car or enough money for a driver (~7€ one way) to get somewhere because it's far away from "the happening" and the food was a bit expensive for us (we're a young couple traveling on low budget) maybe because it's far away from anything else. The building wasn't quite finished yet, for instance the bar was still in progress but overall we had a very nice experience.
