Room had a trendy vibe and was comfortable, clean, and spacious. It had a nice view of downtown and hotel is in a great location as far as being near to shopping and restaurants as well as close to waterfront and lighthouse areas. Housekeeping was very good and it was overall a very pleasant place to stay.

Two gripes--small one first--waterfront is a misnomer as it is a block away from the water and any view is blocked by other buildings. Its more of a downtown feel than on the beach feel--having waterfront in the title of the hotel gave me the impression it was on the beach I guess. The bigger issue for me was cost of parking. $48 per night or $40 if you use the valet but either way adds up over a few nights stay. Just be sure to add this to whatever you are paying for hotel. I probably didnt read enough reviews to learn this beforehand so it was a little irksome. I am still happy we stayed here as it was a good experience and fortunately hurricane lee didnt hit this area too hard.

Hotel was fantastic. Rooms very clean and tidy, plenty of room with a very nice bathroom. Staff were very friendly and helpful from the front desk and valet to the bar staff. Location is great, a short walk to most places of interest. We enjoyed both the rooftop and downstairs bars with the rooftop being a bit more lively then the relaxed downstairs one.

Parking isn't great. I found it very expensive considering it was an outside car park which was used by others. I imagine this is something the hotel has no control over and they do highlight it on their emails. The valet was great and extremely helpful.

There was one day that the housekeeping folk did not clean our room. We had come back for 15 minutes when they were in the room next to us cleaning, and although we simply came in to pick-up a few things and we left in about 5 minutes, I think they just used it as an excuse to not clean the room. After all, knocking is recommended. As it turned out, when we called the front desk at 6 PM they sent someone to clean the room. So we just went up to the rooftop bar for a drink.

I used to live in Portland and often come to the city for work. This was my first time staying at Canopy, as I wanted something more elevated for the special occasion. The staff was so great! They upgraded my room for free when they heard I was there for my master's graduation. The rooms are modern, clean, and stylish. The Salt Yard has great food and drinks, and the location is perfect for walking around the Old Port. The valet was also really quick! don't want to stay anywhere else when I come back!

This was the best city I've ever stayed in. Canopy has the most comfortable beds and pillows, everything was sleek and new and smelled great. Excellent location in the city, easily walkable to breweries, restaurants, and excellent breakfast locations. Will stay here again in a heartbeat!

The only thing that would make this better is if the vallet parking is included in the hotel package and not an extra fee. It cost $38 per night to have your car in vallet, but the parking lot next door was 8$ per hour.

You can't beat this location! Plus the rooms were modern and the decor was really very stylish! Staff was very friendly and we never do valet parking but it was cheaper than most of the garage opens nearby. Breakfast at the Cafe downstairs was amazing and the Luna bar offered great views although the drinks were just OK.

We couldn't get our room higher than 68 degrees at night and we like to sleep a little warmer.

I like that it was centrally located in Old Town. It was pristinely clean and there were a lot of places to work in the lobby after we had checked out but weren’t quite ready to leave for the airport yet. It was also very quiet and the bed was really comfortable. Shower was great too. Notably, the staff was top notch and caring. I had a foot injury and asked for bandaids and the front desk agent provided numbing gel and ibuprofen in addition to the bandaid, so I didn’t have to make an extra trip to a pharmacy for my short trip.

Liked everything about it! No complaints.

Great location for exploring the Old Port. Nice roof top bar and good facilities. Rooms are very comfortable.

Breakfast restaurant on site is just too long of a wait at peak morning times. Good food but just very frustrated about long waits just to place an order. Something should be done to facilitate orders and limit wait times for hotel guests.

The hotel common areas and rooms are a nice modern and comfortable. Love the fact that there are dispensers of nice shampoo/conditioner/body wash. The bed is super comfortable, and the rooms feature a lot of drawer space, which I loved. (I don't like living out of a suitcase). Also, loved the gray bathrobes!

I thought the room prices were a bit pricey, understanding it is peak season. But there's no housekeeping, so it felt a bit much to justify a $500 plus/night (even $700 plus room one night).

The staff was A-1! The property is absolutely beautiful! Immaculate! Newly remodeled. Fairly quiet, altho we were on the same floor as the rooftop bar and we could hear the activity from our room. It was not disruptive but it was present. The room was *huge* - very well appointed - Nespresso machine, altho no bottled water *in* the room, the room was supplied with old school glass milk bottles for the water station down the hall. Very cool, very convenient, unlimited water supply! *Very* comfy couch/chaise and chair. Oddly, no pen in the room, the one time I really needed one! The room was designed with the bedroom being separated from the powder room/bathroom/entry area by a sliding barn door. The bed was *very* comfy and altho the pillows were a bit tooooo mushy and fluffy for me, I slept quite well (I've always been a sucker for Hilton's bedding). We checked out but stayed in town for a while, so they offer an *awesome* self-check baggage area with lockers to leave your bags while you putz around town. That was pretty cool!! ***My one and only disappointment was.....when I originally booked, I explained that we were celebrating our 40th anniversary and requested a water view room. I received communication that the property had confirmed my request. However our room was facing the parking lot and ventilation system. Not even a "City View". I was so disappointed!!! I did not say anything to the front desk bc they were very busy and I didn’t want to be That Customer. By the time they had slowed down, we were all settled into the room.

There was nothing we didn’t like.
