There are not enough words to explain how perfect our time at Le Tolfe was. We stayed on the top floor of the main building in the Leocorno Room and had wonderful views from all our windows! It was a lot of fun researching the history of our room name (contrade) and following the Palio event as we explored downtown Siena. It was a bonus having wifi access from our room likely due to us being above the breakfast area. We didn't have any problems with noise from the other guest rooms. There is a wide variety of delicious breakfast options with the ability to order off a menu if you choose (extra fee). Le Tolfe wine is always available to purchase at your convenience and charged at check-out; we loved the rose! The grounds of the agriturismo are kept immaculate and provide postcard scenery anyway you look. Pictures cannot do proper justice! The pool was an amazing way to unwind after a day of exploring and loungers were always available. The front staff were very friendly and always there to help with questions/recommendations in person or via What’s App. We enjoyed some of the events made available onsite such as the evening farm tour (free) and cooking class (for a fee, book in advance). We had a lot of fun with the chef as he took us on a tour of the herb garden and taught us how to make Pici pasta. Later that evening we were able to enjoy what we made during the class at the onsite restaurant for dinner. It was complete magic sitting outside eating and enjoying a bottle of wine in the Tuscan countryside while listening to the sounds of nature. We wish we had more time to do the olive oil/wine tasting and star gazing experiences (extra fee). Le Tolfe is the perfect location to stay when making day trips to: downtown Sienna (5-10 minute drive to Sienna train station, park for cheap), San Gimignano, Pienza, Montepulciano, Florence and the hot springs. We would highly recommend to book a stay here and we hope to return back on our next trip to Tuscany!

This property is straight out of a dream! The grounds are beautiful, the rooms are spacious and feel old world and modern at the same time, the restaurant is fabulous, and the staff are very warm, welcoming, and accommodating. Take time to relax here. Slow down. Stroll. Eat slowly. Enjoy it all. While we were there, we did the olive harvest bliss with Sydney. It was the highlight of our entire 2 week vacation. What an experience! She and Sasha were so much fun, and we got such an authentic and memorable experience. I cried a little when our stay was up and we drove away.

Location could not be better! It was on a hill and had great views of the surrounding countryside. The accomodation was comfortable and quirky. views from windows were great. staff was friendly and helpful. environment friendly. Owner has an interesting past and gives the wine tour herself -she is house proud in a pleasant manner-which was a pleasant surprise from places where owners dont show up at all. Italy is forthcoming. Place was clean and there are many options of accomodation. restaurant is smart with good ambience.

Breakfast was-lots of dry meat and cheese, boiled eggs and many sweet dishes. No cooked options.

We loved our time here. A beautiful location, incredible scenery, close to Siena, Castello di Brolio, Gaiole in Chianti etc. The staff were so helpful with great recommendations such as parking options in Siena. Lovely cold pool which was needed. Also worth mentioning the vineyard, their wines and the wine tasting - learnt a lot and enjoyed trying a number of their wines. There was much more to do which were booked up (vineyard tours, cookery course etc) - so book those in advance! Great food served at the restaurant too - there were a few parties celebrating graduation (i think!) which was a great sign as the restaurant was clearly popular with locals.

My kids weren't happy with me as our room didn't have air conditioning, we had fans though which made us comfortable. I honestly thought it was fine with the fans but the kids won't let me forget it!

It is a place like in the stories,it seems that you are in another world ,a few km from Siena . Beautiful old property,beautiful and good maintained garden ,pool ,tenis area ,restaurant inside and also when weather allows -outside and it has extraordinary views. The rooms are very big (double superior ) ,bathroom big and all clean . The furniture it is not modern ,it is classic,but modern wouldn’t suit for this kind of place . In the rooms there isn’t TV or WiFi ,but this is not a problem ,it is supposed to rest ,sleep or read . We knew this from the beginning. In many other rooms of the building are lots of places for relaxing,with sofa and books . There is a fridge also with water ,juice ,beer ,wine in the lobby,you can take everything from there and pay at the checkout. The breakfast is basic ,sweet products and also some salty food and coffee,juice ,tea . They have different types of wines and they can be tested before . The staff is very nice ,some of them speak very good English,the reception woman was very friendly and tried to help us with everything. There is also the possibility to make wine tours ,cooking lessons,feeding the animals ,but they must be reserved in advance and also there are in specific days ,so it is better to ask before arriving there . We didn’t had enough time ,maybe another time . There are parking places at the property. There are also 2 roads to the property,one good and another one through the forest and it is better to avoid it .

The menus for lunch and dinner haven’t so much variety and sometimes you need to wait longer to receive the order and the waiters seem to be overwhelmed . But this could be improved ,it is not a negative thing ,just something to take in consideration for the future .

A truly magical place in the middle of Toscana. Stunning estate with lots of history. Mania, the owner, puts her heart and soul into everything with a dedication to sustainable agriculture. All the staff was incredible friendly and everyone went above and beyond to make sure the guests are having the best experience. Breakfast was excellent and so was the food in the restaurant. The wine tasting was definitely a highlight, I learnt so much about the art of organic wine making. I can only recommend to make yourself familiar with the philosophy they try and follow, it is much more than just a pretty instagrammable place.

Really lovely peaceful historic property to stay in with an easy drive into Siena The staff are really welcoming The views from the gardens and pool area so beautiful and so Tuscan Breakfast was plentiful with great variety and served with a smile Room and bathroom were a good size and decorated to suit the era There was plenty of cupboard space We did an excellent wine tasting and tour of the winery while there which we thoroughly enjoyed

The last night we were there a big group dinner was on in the dining room below us If it had all finished up at 11 it would have been fine but guests remained outside our window talking for quite some time

The estate is very beautiful and even though we had bad weather, we very much enjoyed the surroundings. The staff is friendly and it was nice to have a (good) restaurant on site. - We had a delicious dinner there including nice wine straight from their own vineyard. Our kids loved feeding the animals in the evening, this was definitely one of the highlights.

The room was a bit cold and the heater didn't work. It would also have been nice to have a playground on site for the kids to play. But we would definitely come back and enjoyed our stay.

What a stunning place, the views, the garden, the superfriendly staff, incredible food, nice pool. All in all it’s an authentic place with attention to nature and sustainability, exactly the kind of place that I like and Europe should get more of. If you are hoping for a 5* Hilton or Marriott experience, just don’t go here. If you like authenticity, friendliness, sustainability, nature, do it. It’s fantastic.

Not much. If I have to name one thing, I think the location lacks a good bar for an aperitivo, where guests meet each other. But this is easy to solve. The restaurant already is fantastic.
