Location was ideal for visiting north Herefordshire. Room was very comfortable and clean. It was also very quiet. Plenty of storage space. The shower was great. Evening meals at the pub were excellent. Meg's Cafe at nearby Shobdon Airfield was a great for breakfast.

Paid slightly more for 'superior' room (no 1) but not much different to the small double below us (Room 2). That was smaller but it had a chair, our room didn't, room 2 had no wardrobe (just hooks) and although room 1 had a large wardrobe - it only had 2 coat hangers, so it was just a waste of space really! Would have liked to be able to get breakfast on site, but we knew it wasn't available when we booked.

I couldn't fault the room at all. It was spacious, clean & warm. Had the usual things you'd expect to have in a room, like tv, kettle. The bed was a king sized with a comfy mattress and crisp clean linen. As for the bathroom, it was a large shower which I love. Towels were clean & crisp. I had been allocated room 1, which is in a block separate from the Inn itself. The room is in the loft area of the block, so stone steps were used to gain entry. A spot light is activated at night with movement. I'd arrived too late for food on the evening I arrived, so had to go back to Leominster for a takeaway. And there was no breakfast. Fortunately I had "full English" at the local airfield. Apart from getting my room key, I didn't step foot in the Inn. Staff were friendly. There is a large car park & the wi-fi worked.

Having to go get a take away. Probably my fault for not checking what was included.

The Bateman arms, was a mid way stop for our journey to Anglesey. Cute stable block conversion. Our ground floor room consisted of double bed, wardrobe, TV , coffee facility, it was comfortable and clean with Nice bed linen and pillows. Food at the pub was a bit mediocre OK. Not sure where else you would eat around there. Pleasantly surprised with the drink prices compared with East London !! the two young waiters were lovely. Totally recommend a stay.

It’s not a dislike, but a personal preference, the interiors just a bit vanilla.

An old inn situated in a very pretty village. Clean room , comfy beds, good quality furniture, lots of storage. Rooms in a separate barn type building with beams- lots of character yet modern. Easy parking and dog friendly. Very friendly staff in pub which serves lovely meals. Seems to be a well supported village pub with welcoming and friendly customers.

Room was cold and couldn't get heating working. Breakfast not served here (this is not made clear on Booking.com site) but we were given a recommendation to go to the local airfield cafe which serves super meals, including breakfast.

Good value accommodation. Clean. Comfy bed. Good nights sleep. Staff great. Generally quiet (bit of occasional but fast-passing-traffic noise & a little bit of squeaky floorboard from the room above.)

Difficult to find in the dark despite being on a relatively main road. It was a dark night but I felt I rather stumbled upon it. Perhaps a better lit sign and/or bigger. However, it's a doddle in daylight.

We were travelling with bicycles and we were able to lock them up overnight. We had booked 2 rooms and they were very clean and spacious set apart from the main building. The manager, Mike, was very helpful and very pleasant. We ate in the restaurant which had a good choice on the menu. The Bateman Arms has only just opened and hopefully it will attract many more visitors. The surroundings and location are wonderful - there is a large estate just over the road from the Batemans where you can walk and enjoy the grounds. We had breakfast at Shobdon Airfield which is a short drive (5mins)/cycle where you can sit watching the planes land and take off.

We enjoyed our stay at Bateman's and there was nothing we did not like.

Lovely room and away from the main Inn so no noise from customers of the bar / restaurant. Beautifully clean and warm and the breakfast was really really good.

I tried a couple of times to contact the property prior to arrival direct and via booking.com to ask if it would be possible for a later check-out. I never did receive a response which did let it down slightly.

Room was well appointed, plenty of tea and coffee, attractive decor. Friendly staff attentive but not in your face. Good pub food

Shower door leaked. Plenty of lovely clean towels, so not a big issue but should be addressed. The double glazing didn't seem to keep all the traffic noise out....wet road? Odd as the road is not that close. Still I slept pretty well.

The staff were all very friendly. Our room was tidy and clean and the beds comfortable. Our pub food was very good good as was the service.

Room was rather dark. A chair would have been nice. Bedding crisp and very clean - but a flat sheet with oversize quilt tucked in meant everything came untucked ! A fitted sheet with loose quilt would have been far better, especially in the heat. A small unit or table to put toiletries on would have been useful.
