Spectacular hotel, impeccable service-- the best hotel we stayed in, during our entire trip to Italy

Loved the location, right at the waterfront in the main part of town. Room was very comfortable and clean with a great shower. We had breakfast on the first story with beautiful views of the lake and spent the early evening on the terrace with the sun going down over the lake enjoying our appetitivo. The staff were excellent, very friendly and helpful guiding us to some great eateries and ,asking bookings. We would definitely come back

The coffee at breakfast was not up to scratch so we had to go elsewhere. The rest of the breakfast was fine with a good range of breakfast staples. We were informed when we arrived that the breakfast was outsourced to the restaurant next door.

Charming Historic Hotel with a Few Small Drawbacks Hotel du Lac in Bellagio is truly a gem, with the charm of an old castle and a fantastic location right by the lake. The rooms are spacious, clean, and full of character, making it a memorable place to stay. It’s also just a 2-minute walk to the ferry, which is incredibly convenient for trips to Varenna or Menaggio. The breakfast was decent, although the omelette was slightly overcooked. On the plus side, the staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful, adding a warm, welcoming touch to our stay. Overall, it’s a wonderful hotel if you’re looking for charm and convenience, but plan ahead for parking arrangements!

Parking, however, has some challenges: it costs an additional 25 CHF per night, there’s no valet service, and getting to the hotel by car can be a bit tricky

Everything from staff to location and the hotel itself. Rooms were great, comfortable and clean and anything we needed or assistance the staff was there for us !!! The front desk was amazing they looked after us from making reservations to any information or guidance we needed !!! We will definitely stay here again and try and get a balcony as view is beautiful from a room. You must also have drinks in the rooftop patio especially to watch the sunset !!! Staff here were also excellent and friendly !!! I also feel this place offers good value for your money !!!

I have nothing bad to say with our stay there … We enjoyed everything from the time the staff communicated to us prior to arrival especially with parking issues with large vehicle to the time we arrived and booked all our dinner reservations and any questions we had.

Exceptionally helpful and friendly staff - really refreshing to have such lovely front staff. Nothing was too much trouble, especilly in helping us use the ferry schedule & they even found the TV chanel that was carrying the soccer match! The location is super convenient for the ferry and for exploring Bellagio. Breakfast was good, and views from the outdoor terrace were spectacular!

Breaksfast didn't have as many options as some other hotels we stayed at (but it was great anyway!); the outdoor terrace serves drinks in the evening by reservation - they are pricey, but the view is outstanding.

The location was great., very close to Bellagio ferry , best way to come here from Milan is by train to Varenna and take ferry to bellagio and the hotel will just be in front of you , the breakfast has enough varieties and have a good taste of croissant

The one thing I don’t like is the guy that taken care of breakfast line, he doesn’t want to clear the table in front of the window which it has good view… everyone come here to have a great view but why don’t you rush up a bit to clear it to have a better customer satisfaction

- I was upgraded upon my arrival, so this was just a cherry on top - Apartment was wonderful, clean and equipped with all the necessary amenities (you don't have to bring anything except your clothes) - People at the reception are wonderful and helpful (dog is the best 😀) - I've slept like never before and the view was heaven. - Breakfast was amazing, a lot of options , something for everyone - Restaurant in the hotel has great food so you don't have to go far for lunch or dinner

Communication with the hotel in advance of our stay was truly excellent. As we were driving there, we got all the information needed for the LTZ in operation in Bellagio. We organised parking via the hotel which is located a short distance away but easy to find and access. Super friendly reception staff. The location of the hotel is incredible, right on the waters edge opposite the ferry terminal. Ditch the car when you get there, you don't need it anymore for Bellagio. The room was clean and the bed very comfortable. Breakfast overlooking the lake - what more could you ask for. The rooftop bar opened at 1730, perfect time for a few sundowners, overlooking the lake - stunning. We didn't use the spa facilities purely because of our short stay. Seems like a family run business, and all were super friendly. Highly recommended.

Remember if you are driving there, be aware of the LTZ, your time of arrival and the potential crowds of people you will have to navigate through to get to the hotel. This is not a criticism just a fact. If you book the parking via the hotel its likely that after you find the hotel, then you have to circle around again through all the people to find the parking garage.

The hotel was beautiful, well managed, very clean, helpful staff,and the room was very comfortable.

Two things: I thought we had booked a room with a garden view (maybe not). We had a view of the building next door. The restaurant was rather mediocre. We sat down and were ignored by every wait person who walked by. I finally got up and grabbed menus. Another waiter walked by without even acknowledging me. I asked if we could get some service. He said yes, came by a minute later, and asked us what we would like. I told him the first thing I would like is for him to remove the dirty plates from the previous customers. I ordered the lasagna. While the taste was good, it was not hot.

We stayed in Hotel Du Lac & Spa in Bellagio for one night. We were so sad to leave as it was one of the nicest places I have stayed in all of Europe and across the world. I travelled to Lake Como to celebrate my mother's 60th birthday with my sisters. Bellagio is the nicest place in all of the lake and the hotel went above and beyond for us. The rooms are beautifully decorated with white, crisp linen. Rooms are so clean and have all of the necessary amenities including soft towels, robes and slippers. Rooms had a mini bar with great variety and were all so affordable. Food and drinks in the restaurant were amazing with great variety. Definitely opt for including breakfast, it was so tasty with a great variety. The staff are so friendly and went above and beyond for us. They gave us great recommendations for the area and other areas on the lake. it is a hotel with great character and amazing views of the lake. The hotel is in a great location, right across from the station and near other amazing restaurants. You will not regret choosing this as your hotel.
