We originally chose this place because of the free parking and it was outside of the ZTL, but there are so many other reasons to choose this place. We loved staying at this villa. It's a little bit away from the congestion - a very good thing! - and taking the C4 bus gets you to Ponte Vecchio to save some time walking. Also, it is a short walk up the hill to Piazzale Michelangelo, which you will want to visit at least once for sunset. Angelina and Cherubino - thanky you very much for making our vacation enjoyable and memorable. We highly recommend staying here!

Lovely and helpful hosts. Our room was spacious, comfortable, and quiet (we were at the back of the house, and we rarely heard other guests). We had chosen to stay here because there was a kitchenette (with a 2 ring hob), this and the cooking equipment was adequate for cooking simple meals. The hotel is close to many of the city centre sites (half an hour's walk) but far enough away to escape the crowds.

All good. Would definitely stay here again. - I didn't manage to find any supermarkets nearby, but there are plenty of grocery options and a couple of markets in the city centre.

Angelina was a fantastic host and nothing was too much trouble the rooms were large clean and well appointed 15-20 minute walk from the square and although no breakfast option there are plenty of lovely coffee shops within a minute or two from the residence.

The only downside was our room was at the front of the property which was lonely as we had a balcony but it is a busy road and I am not used to noise when sleeping I think I would have preferred a room at the back of the property. We didn’t ask as I am sure Angelina would have accommodated us All in all a small downside as we really enjoyed staying at the residence.

This was our fourth stay at Residence Michelangelo and like the name, it feels like staying in a beautiful residence/home, rather than a transient hotel. The hosts (Florence natives) are welcoming and help with reservations, recommendations, directions and basically anything you need. (parking on premise is important in this city) The property is walking distance to the center of the city. There are many restaurants near by which are frequented by locals rather than tourists. (much better).

It was the best place to stay in Florance. especially if you are taking a trip in Italy by car. As you know, it is like a nightmare to drive or find a parking spot in the near center of Florance. So we parked our car to the hotel's garage for free, visited all the attractions, and explored the city by foot. Since all the museums and historical areas are so close to the hotel, it takes less than 30 minutes walk to get them. Also, the staff was really nice. When we faced with any problem, they solved immediately. Plus, they helped us to find the best restaurants in town, which were amazing. Thank you very much!!!

Large, elegant rooms, extremely clean, very comfortable beds. On premise free parking, great location in distance from city center. Superb neighborhood, picturesque street, birds singing, trees, flowering plants everywhere.

A microwave would be nice and a coffee machine. Kitchen is minimalistic (but still functional). No breakfast, in fact no restaurant at all (but good options are 5-10 minutes away by foot). No insect screens in the windows so we had some mosquitos and a few garden bugs. Windows not sound proof so the room was a bit noisy.

We had a fantastic stay here, the place is quiet, comfortable and spacious. We booked the double bedroom apt for four and were very comfortable. The bathrooms are very clean and new, and the hosts are very kind and helpful. It’s a place to rest from busy touring days, there’s great restaurants, cafés and bars as well as bus stops. I highly recommend this place!

Maybe it’s a bit farther from city center, but it’s well worth the silence and comfort. We took the bus to main attractions with no problem. Make sure to leave way before google maps tells you to! Sometimes buses are late or very full.

Breakfast was not included since not a hotel, but well equipped kitchenette was available in the room. Angelina, the property manager was very kind and helpful. She recommended some very good restaurants and shopping places in the vicinity of the hotel.

Can't think of much. Even the children noise coming from the daycare or playground near the nearby church during the morning was not of nuisance.

the rooms are huge. they have a kitchenette which was great. the A/C was perfect in the crazy heat. it takes around 20 minutes to walk into the city center. they had free parking onsite which was a bonus, I thought I read it would be around 25 euro but it was free. great place to stay because we were also barely in the room, so it met our needs. it is a very close walk to piazzale Michelangelo as well which was lovely.

the shower was only a bathtub with a removable shower head (which was expected as it is an older building)

Location was beautiful, greenery and stately homes, very close to the city centre yet you don't have to deal with the maddness of the historic centre. Very convenient private and safe parking, but more importantly it is outside of the ZTL zone! The property is very well managed by Angelina and Cherubino, they have thought of every detail. Our room was on the ground floor with access to the patio, where on warm days you can have your morning coffee in the lovely garden with lemon and orange trees. Michelangiolo Residence was perfect for a memorable stay in Florence!

A coffee machine would be nice as is practice in most Italian places. There was no soap/shampoo dish in the shower.
