Great location, right in the historic centre of town, with a lovely pool and nice gardens. At this place you feel real Thai architecture, and it is a quiet oasis.

The rooms and bathrooms felt basic for the price range, there was mold in the shower, and beware there are no windows in the rooms (just a door leading to the hallways). Breakfast is not buffet, and although the restaurant is nicely appointed, again it did not feel at par with the price paid.

We always stay at this hotel when we stop over in Chiang Mai. It's now become familiar and part of our routine when driving up to Chiang Dao. The staff are friendly, parking is always available, the swimming pool is great, and it is fairly quiet (depending on if your room faces the street) given the location. Breakfast options are good and the little courtyard where the restaurant is situated is quite pretty ( not sure how it is set up for the hotter and wetter months)

We usually get a room at the ground level but this time we got a room at the top. It's definitely not handicap friendly (and observation). The bathroom for these rooms are smaller than the ground levels which means the shower stall is quite narrow. For non-small body builds it would be a bit challenging 😜 (knocking your arms and knees on the shower wall) or hitting your head on the shower)

Beautiful hotel in excellent location (within old city). Wonderfully furnished throughout. Excellent facilities. Food exceptional. Breakfast in courtyard delightful (with excellent range of options). Staff all superb (courteous, charming and ever-helpful - nothing was too much trouble for any of them). Check-in and out extremely slick. All in all, fantastic hotel offering excellent value for money in prime location.

We should have stayed longer!!!

Rachamankha Hotel is located in Chiang Mai old city and is in walkable distance to many temples, shops and cafes in the old city. It is a modern hotel but done in the traditional architecture of Chiang Mai with courtyards and gardens. There are parts of old buuldings like doors and tiles which are reused. We stayed in the two bedroom suite which had its own small patio. The living room is comfortable for a family of four and the two bedrooms are on either sides of the livinv room with the patio opening on the long side. The bedrooms are great places to rest after a day of exploring.

There is little to not like about Rachamankha Hotel.

An absolutely incredibly stunning and authentic hotel, eye for detail, full of antiques, wherever you look. A true haven of piece in the middle of the city. Great food in the restaurant and very friendly staff.

Welcoming could be a bit warmer and caring. E.g. a refreshment towel and small welcome drink upon arrival would be appreciated over a voucher for a drink at the bar.

The property is absolutely stunning. The buildings and furniture are beautiful. The pool is incredible. The hotel was very peaceful and quiet

They have a problem with the water heater in some of the rooms - and the water has a bad metallic (rusty) smell. We had to change rooms. It happened in more than one room, but they're working on it. They tried to accommodate, and the third room was better. The breakfast is okay for food quality. It was not as nice as in similar properties in Thailand. The service at breakfast and the setup were fantastic. The food itself was just so-so - both in quality and quantity.

Breakfast was exceptional. Top in the restaurant was really a top guy. All the staff at the reception, restaurant, cleaners & every member of the whole hotel were really friendly, courteous & helpful. Full marks to all of them! Saw, the manager was very professional & informative too. Thank you to all the great staff!

Wish there was a sofa or easy comfy chairs with a foot rest in the room, which otherwise was excellent. Oh! we could not open the window either. Sorry, just a minor thing. Secondly after check out, the sofas in the lobby were occupied so a bit uncomfortable to spend time from 12 to 3 pm on the chairs. Perhaps, there should be more sitting area to wait for taxi in the lobby.

Service… some staff don’t like their job and that’s noticeable Don’t expect the regular excellent Thai service Toilet amenities fell cheap and aren’t good quality.. please change Booking photo where you present Molton Brown ones The cherry on top happened at check out when the girl in the Reception wanted to forcibly charge us a beer bought at the supermarket and drank in the room… unbelievable!!!

Second time visiting and it was just as fabulous. The staff are fantastic and work to a very high standard. Absolutely loved our stay and was very sad to leave.

The shower in our room needed upgrading. It worked fine but compared to the standard of everything else, it could do with a replacement

The hotel has a great location - central but quiet w/o busy roads directly nearby. Many tempels (wats) are located within walking distance, and it is easy to dine and shop in the surroundings of the hotel. The hotel has a spectacular architecture. Library, pool and restaurant (where also breakfast is served) are great, too. Breakfast has a buffet and items from a menu can be ordered in addition to the buffet (two items per guest - which is more than enough!!). Good coffee, tea and juice selection. The library has extensive literature offerings. All very neat and clean. Staff super friendly and helpful. Only a few minutes of taxi time to the airport, but no disturbance by noise from arriving or departing airplanes.
