I have never rate 10/10 before but this one and the people working there deserve 10+/10. The place is amazing , cleaned and offers a very relaxing and natural (probably unique) atmosphere and experience. Who makes the difference here is the mindset of the workers who made the customer feeling the relax , the comfort , the genuine and warm welcome and the experience. We recommend to taste the restaurant as well. Very very good. And super appreciated the served breakfast (instead of the usual buffet) . Even The handyman named Roberto talks to you with the passion that I have never experienced before - he told us all about how to take care of olive tree and about the natural clima that surrounds the area. In fact we were so affascinante that we have got an olive tree from the area to plant in Amsterdam and we called it Roberto of course . But you can breath and experience the customer care and the location care by everyone employed there. I do not remember all names but we did notice the Love and care this location transmits to visitors. I would definitely recommend this to anyone. No need to go anywhere else if you are around. I would go here even if you visit the so close Firenze. Finally the “hotel” and the Staff who deserve full respect and thank you from Customers. I travel the world, I leave in Amsterdam (The Netherlands) , I am Italian and this hotel and the staff made me feel I should maybe work in this location and leave there. Congratulations to the owners too of course because they have created this wonderful atmosphere

Where to start?We loved everything.The rooms were spacious and very clean,smelled wonderful.The location is beautiful,the hotel is surrounded by forest,olive groves and a little water fall.The view from the room is stunning.Breakfast is delicious,fresh pastries and home made cakes(every day different types),eggs in any form.We dined in the restaurant for dinner several times,and really enjoyed trying different díshes and they all were delicious,I would say one of the best we tried in Tuscany.The staff were all very friendly and kind,patient with our kids.Thank you Silvia,Claudia,Marina,Giovanni and Sasha for being wonderful hosts.We hope to return one day and highly recommend the resort.

It was just gorgeous, so much attention to detail. Our room was perfect, so clean and the colors of lavender and cream were so relaxing and really on point for the property. The staff were so kind, especially the pool attendant on the lower property. Breakfast was INCREDIBLE.

The location didn't register on our gps so it was tough to find. The room location was a hike from the reception and breakfast location. Not great for someone with difficulty climbing up steep grades. They should offer a shuttle as they have a golf cart on the property. The restaurant food for breakfast was outstanding and included in our stay but the dinner was sub par and very expensive. We only ate there once and didn't go back for dinner.

Amazing place with clean and spacious rooms. Cleaning everyday. Restaurant is great and staff super friendly. Breakfast was some of the best we've had at a hotel; freshly baked croissant and cake every morning and plenty of choices for eggs and beverages. Evening menu is maybe a bit limited, but everything is delicious and good recommendations for wine. We booked a massage treatment in our room for a relaxing Spa day. Do try the hotel's homemade Aperol 👍

The Spa is maybe a bit expensive for just one hour and what it offers, but on the positive side you have the Spa for yourself and, again the service is absolutely fantastic, you are offered a ride with the hotel's golf cart to and from your appointment.

It’s absolutely worth the money, absolutely. If you are struggling to decide which location you should pick in Tuscany then listen carefully - I spent so much time and energy on selecting properties… but I couldn’t be more satisfied (which is rare) for picking this place. Everything works fine there, from the beautiful nature which is literally an escape from reality to very friendly and highly supportive staff, delicious food, clean and comfy accommodation. Everything there simply works and gives you this sense of peace and breathe you are looking for. Trust me, I am a selective person and till the last moment i wasn’t sure if this option would be right. But this place DOES deliver what they promise and I would say you would be even more positively surprised than expected. Save your time and energy. Go for it!

nothing, I am a critical person but I can’t think of any negatives regarding this place. Maybe apart of slightly not the easiest road access BUT it’s not that bad as other people describe especially with navigation and the views are absolutely worth it.

Everything. The location of it is perfect. Is just remote enough to have your peace, be in a quiet place and enjoy nature around you. Yet is close enough to many of the major attractions. Keep in mind that we were driving to the location. Furthermore, the staff is excellent. Everyone is welcoming and there to make the experience pleasant. The cherry on top is the food. Simply wonderful. Plenty to choose for breakfast. The dinner is perfect. I wish we stayed longer to have time to try it all.

We made a one night stop over during our Toscana Trip and it the location was amazing. The room was very spacious and everything was in great conditions. The bed was huge and very comfortable. The kids loved the animals and the large garden.

The staff in the pool bar and reception was very nice. However the service in the restaurant didn’t feel very inviting, specially bringing your kids for dinner seemed to be a challenge for some of the service staff.

The dinner was really excellent both nights. Breakfast was also delicious, although the additionally ordered omelet was slightly disappointing compared with the rest. The location is wonderful and the road really not a problem - it is meant to be a rural location after all!

Some of the staff were a bit off-hand and preferred to ignore you until it suited them (others were great). We had two superior double rooms (same price): one (31) was a really decent size with a lovely bathroom, the other (26) was a “walk around the bed only” room with a tiny bathroom - husband couldn’t get in the shower while I was cleaning my teeth - and it was built for very tall people only ( I am 5’2” / 160cm)…. - I couldn’t see in the mirror - I couldn’t hang up my towel on the hook - my feet didn’t touch the floor when sitting on the toilet! Also the toilet paper was dreadful! And the bed and pillows were very uncomfortable

Excellent stay for our family (and dogs) at Il Castelluccio Country Resort in April 2023. The staff, the food, the facilities and the location were all exceptional. The management and staff were very courteous, knowledgeable and dedicated to make this place a success. Absolutely delighted with our stay and to see this place creating employment and reinvigorating this area both in terms of employment (a lot of staff there) and environment (they have an olive grove and were planting lavender when we stayed - I also noted another field recently cleared out for further crops. Tuscany at its best: a lot of hard work and dedication wrapped up with love for the area. This is a hidden gem, which is not going to remain hidden for too long. We also got offered a gift bag before departure containing their own olive oil and a few goodies - a nice touch to finish our holidays prior to returning back home. Bonus: you're only 7mins drive from the local "outlet" in Barberino di Mugello and 20km from Florence. You're also very close to the local lake di Balancino. Amazing views from the property.

As mentioned above, we liked everything regarding the resort itself. However, the last c. 1km of the road to reach the resort is quite narrow and may be a tad challenging for some of the clients. But don't be deterred by this: the place is well worth the journey!

Beautiful and very comfortable room. Nice staff who really try to accommodate your needs. Lovely surrounding area; 2 pools, hot tub, bar, restaurant and a trail to wander. Good food for breakfast and dinner.

Overbooked, so we were given an upgraded room which was large and beautiful but with a window that overlooked the passageway to the spa (room 20).. grateful no one used it during our visit since there was no privacy. Dinner was delicious but they were fully booked so we received our meal sporadically with little attention.
