Beautiful restoration, location, on site parking,large apartment with lovely view, comfortable beds, high quality linens and towels… The best reason to stay here is the EXCELLENT service from a caring and dedicated staff which made the stay feel like a five star hotel. One of us was ill overnight and Tiago called a doctor who was there with in an hour. The next morning Diogo and Marisa were so kind and concerned. If I were to return to Porto I would stay here again without hesitation. Highly recommend!!!

My only semi negative comment is the lack of lighting in the upstairs bedroom which was an issue at night.

Fantastic location, 1 minute from Ponte Louis I bridge. On a main road but not busy at night, as elevated up from the street. The suites are full apartments and are luxurious, spacious and very well equipped. Ours (ground floor by main entrance) has a full equipped kitchen. Large living space, upstairs bedroom and TWO full bathrooms. Very comfortable bed, good air conditioning and free WiFi connection. The on-site service is excellent with a 24/7 manned desk and friendly helpful staff, who can give advice and help with your bookings.

Slight noise transfer from adjacent unit, but not problematic. There is nothing to dislike about the property.

The Palace is nicely located to restaurants, shopping & lots of sightseeing. You can walk everywhere. Our 2 bedroom, 2 bath was comfortable & quiet for 4 persons. Loved the high ceilings. Staff were very friendly & helpful.

Unit was dark during the day so we did need lights on. The second bedroom is on the second floor with no bathroom which made it difficult to go down & up the stairs at night.

When our plane time was changed to arrive late in the evening, we were reassured to learn that someone would be on reception all the time to welcome us, and give us keys to our rooms, and so it proved - very good! Staff were all welcoming, friendly and helpful. Really nice ambiance and spacious accommodation.

Room 6 access to the wardrobe was too high and too hard for a relatively small lady to reach - not even a step available to assist!

Concierge was so very helpful. They were very welcoming and helped us make any and all plans, reservations, and tips needed to navigate the city.

I was in the garden room and unfortunately the seating area for the garden was directly outside my window/door which means I had strangers looking into my room regularly. Yes, I had a screen but that seriously limited the natural light.

My husband and I recently stayed at condes de azevado, a historical palace in Porto, and it was an incredible experience from start to finish. The room was exceptionally spacious, providing more than enough space to relax and unwind. The staff were extraordinary, always helpful and incredibly nice, making sure all our needs were met with a smile.One of the best aspects of this hotel is its proximity to everything. We found it incredibly convenient to explore the city's main attractions, shops, and restaurants, all within walking distance. Porto itself is a stunning city, full of charm and vibrant culture, and staying at this historical palace made our visit even more memorable.We highly recommend it to anyone visiting Porto. It's the perfect place to stay for a truly enjoyable and hassle-free experience.

Great location and the service was awesome, the front desk concierge went over the city with a map and was available to assist with reservations and tickets for our stay. The rooms and bathrooms were impeccable and clean, the balcony access to the gardens were a bonus. Breakfast is highly recommended, I wish I had gotten her name, but the lady working there was so attentive and brought us whatever we needed (or not) and made some delicious fresh bruschetta that was delicious. I highly recommend this property, great location and service.

Fabulous building with incredible staff. Duarte and all the reception staff could not have done more to help us . The apartment was very spacious and cool. Kitchen was very well equipped and the bathroom was spacious and spotless with the fluffiest of white towels. The bed was incredibly comfortable with top quality linen .

Lounge was quite dark , definitely needs better lighting. The garden seemed quite neglected which was a real shame as it could have been gorgeous with a little TLC .

The apartments are in a wonderful position with excellent road access. They are close to the top of Pont Luis I, near the Se, Sao Bento station and all areas of Lower Porto. Upper Porto is only 15-20 minutes walk. We enjoyed the facilities in the apartment, especially the washing machine. Our apartment had direct access to the garden where we could dry our clothes on a rack provided on request. It was pleasant to have a garden to sit in. The staff were all very helpful, always available and attentive. A special mention for Duarte, Diogo and Marisa. We were pleased to find a great little bakery nearby in Rua Augusta Rosa, Neta, where we bought bread and pastries each day.

We found the mezzanine sleeping area inconvenient as there was nowhere for our clothes or suitcases. It was also uncomfortably stuffy even with air-conditioning. A couple of luggage racks are essential for the comfort of guests. No-one wants to be forced to kneel on the floor to access their clothes. Occasionally it was a little noisy at night with guests checking in late. Otherwise it was generally very quiet.
