The check in was seamless and easy and the on-duty staff were always pleasant and helpful. Our room was spacious and clean and appeared to have been renovated in the recent past as the finishes were modern. There were a few stains on the carpet but nothing offensive. Our bed, bedding and pillows were comfortable. The bedside lamps and ceiling light control from the bedside panel was a bonus. The bathroom was an adequate size and was also kept clean by the staff. The midday checkout (instead of the usual 10am) was really helpful. The location is excellent - a 5 minute walk to South Kensington station, nearby restaurants and museums.

The main issue we experienced was the water pressure in the building. If we showered at peak times the water would sometimes pause for a few seconds mid-shower before resuming again. Outside of peak times we experienced no water pressure issues. A few more hangers in the cupboard would have been helpful as we were staying for 5 nights and had more clothing to hang.

The location is really ideal if you want to visit museums around: the Natural history museum is 2 mins away, the V&A 5 mins away. The hotel is also quite close to the tube, to travel around the city it's great. For the hotel itself, what I appreciated the most was the quiet. The AC was a blessing in times of summer! The room was actually quite big, with a nice and well-equipped bathroom. All very clean. The bed was so comfy. I only spent 3 nights there but those were 3 great ones. Staff's always pleasant and helpful when you need informations. I'd definitely come back there if I happen to travel again to London!

After booking and reading a few reviews that were somewhat negative, there was a little anxiousness. Well I need not have done as the hotel is beautifully decorated, clean and staff are welcoming and friendly. I checked in at 12pm, I was only expecting for them to store our bags as check in wasn’t until 3pm and the room was ready and they let us in :) not only this but we was upgraded from a double room to a double room with a balcony… amazing and so happy. The location was perfect for me and my little boy for the Natural history museum. South Kensington tube station a short walk. Everything was just perfect.

There is some noise of traffic but hey can’t have it all. We did want a location close to the museum and did not affect sleep once asleep and the long heavy blackout curtains do help somewhat.

Location is the best. On the doorstep of the Natural History, Science and V&A Museums. Kensington, Knightsbridge, Chelsea and Notting Hill; all nearby and accessible by public transport. Exceptionally clean, bed really comfy and heating lovely and toasty in extreme cold. I don't have breakfast as too many tempting options nearby and I usually skip to lunch. Couldn't rate this hotel highly enough. Staff are friendly and supportive.

Nothing. Great place.

Location was amazing, right next to the South Kensington underground. Also, Khan's of Kensington has maybe the best butter chicken in the world. We'd read some unfortunate reviews on Google before hand so we weren't what to expect, but fortunately the room itself was very large and comfortable. Additionally, the TV had a good selection of channels as well as smart apps like netflix. I had to work a little while I was there and the wifi was satisfactory, as well as the little desk. The hotel also provided free cookies and waters every day, it was a great experience.

There were only a couple of downsides to our stay. 1. (super minor) The bathroom sink was tiny, I'm a big guy, so I couldn't actually stand at the sink and had to hunch over to reach it. That said, the rest of the bathroom was plenty spacious, perfectly comfortable for taking showers. 2. (only real discomfort) The pillows on the bed were not the greatest, they were super flat and tired, would benefit from new pillows. 3. (this isn't on the hotel) If you have an early flight, be prepared for a $125 Uber to the airport. The tube & train schedules didn't line up for our 7:30 am flight. That said, we took the train/tube when we arrived and it was very easy.

It was quiet at night. It was not too hot. The staff were all very friendly. The bed was long enough for a tall man. The breakfast was good and I loved the chandeliers. The location was perfect, in a quiet street near the museums, Albert Hall, park, nice restaurants, tube, bus stops. There was a 12pm check out, so not too early. Communication beforehand was efficient. The shower was powerful; the water temperature did not vary and there was a non slip mat.

The horrible thin plastic toilet seat. The lid buckled when I sat on it and scratched my fingers when I lifted it. Otherwise the bathroom had very nice fittings.

Room modest in size but had balcony with windows which open. Room was clean and en-suite shower facilities were excellent. Location was excellent for us and although there was through traffic on the street it was not obtrusive. Breakfast at the partner hotel across the street was excellent and staff were very attentive. The lobby area was light, spacious and well furnished. Plenty of good places to eat in the area at a range of cost levels. Parking was at a separate location at the end of the street (about 150 m) and the hotel had a discount for guests. Close to the museums and Albert Hall.

This is an older building and so the elevator was quite small (four persons) which meant that accommodating large luggage was a challenge but not by any means a showstopper.

Location was great and the staff were really nice! The area is nice, close to the tube and restaurants and cafes, as well as attractions. Felt very safe walking around after dark. The hotel has made efforts in being more eco-friendly (refillable eco friendly shampoo etc) which I appreciate. The sheets etc were clean and comfy.

Due to the age of the property, some of the amenities in the room were in need of small renovations. The window was not sealed tight so the noises outside were as loud as if the window had been open. This wasn't a big problem because my room faced a school yard so it was quiet when school was off. There was also a small draft coming from the window, not significant when the curtains were closed though. The bathroom sink is tiny, washing my face was difficult and the grout in in the shower was in need of updating.

Loved this hotel, was in a beautiful and very safe location, and had easy access to the underground, as well as lots of attractions within such close walking distance such as the natural history museum, immersive frameless art exhibition, science museum, royal albert hall, kensington gardens and palace. Staff were lovely and super accommodating and the rooms had everything I needed for an affordable price

the facilities in the room themselves were good but not outstanding- some chipped paint here and there and no bathmat. The TV also only worked a little. nothing major however to cause any inconvenience!

The hotel is in a brilliant location - it is hard to beat, actually. One minute's walk away from the Natural History Museum. I was in room 110, which was quiet, quite spacious and clean. The hotel was clean and had everything I needed e.g. private bathroom, double bed etc. I should point out that I was upgraded, at random, from the single room I booked so it was a 'better' room than I paid for. My colleague stayed in a single room (which is what I booked) and while it is quite small, it is absolutely fine for a single person for a night or two. I wouldn't recommend this hotel for a proper holiday, as it is a little basic, but for a night or two in a great location, I don't think you will do much better.

The couch in my room had a cover on it that was stained and should be replaced. The bathroom floor had obviously been cleaned, but was a bit streaky so it didn't look clean, if that makes sense. The window was very small - it didn't bother me, but some people wouldn't like that.
