The room was clean and comfortable. I needed a quiet room as I am not a brilliant sleeper. It was quiet, but they kindly provided earplugs in case I needed them (thank you, most thoughtful)! I didn't book breakfast; I missed that bit in the booking process. Then, I decided that almost £16 pp for brekkie was a bit steep, so I had coffee and pastry elsewhere. The location is a 20-minute trundle with a suitcase in tow from the Coach Station, but it was no hardship. My favourite bit - the water pressure in the shower is glorious. I want that at home!!

Due to refurbishment, the central heating was replaced by a stand-alone oil heater. It was not ideal, but it was close to freezing outside, so I was grateful to have it. I was unaware of any refurbishment work happening whilst I was there, so it was not an inconvenience.

We have stayed at the hotel before as we love the location. The reception staff are always very helpful and check you in quickly. This time the weather was poor so we decided to dine in the hotel which we really enjoyed, Geoff was brilliant as we said we needed food asap due to needing to leave earlier to get to the show we booked and he went out of his way to get us our food and quick. After the show we then decided to drink in the hotel bar avoiding the bad weather and the bar staff were great. Room was clean and bed was comfortable! Would visit again :-)

Nothing - everything was great.

The reception area was stunning and was really clean. The staff as well in the morning were super lovely and friendly (can’t remember their names!) but really lovely! Room extras were lovely - shower was amazing and the bed was super comfy. Had a lovely view and felt very clean!

Just didn’t like coming home to find security guard making sure we had our names down. I understand this is for people not trying to get in hotel but be better if it was just key access than having to confirm who you are, name, who you’re with… Also the park at the rear of hotel is SO close and great BUT if you’re not a confident driver or big car I’d avoid the multi story. It’s VERY tight!!

Every staff member really goes above and beyond to make sure everything is perfect. The Chicken Schnitzel and Chicken Popcorn were so delicious; they improved my stay. I also love the handy USB connections at the switched socket outlets—super convenient! I had to go home and I only stayed one night.

Weve been to very expensive Birmingham hotels and honestly, we enjoyed this one more. We got married in Birmingham last year and splashed out then but for our anniversary this year we decided, why spend more for something when this hotel is equally good and with friendlier staff? We liked the comfy bed, the room layout, the cleanliness and the staff, also liked the proximity to all the fun things we'd plan to do like go to a concert at the O2 academy and wonder around the shops close by. As someone with very problematic hair, the shampoo and conditioner provided is actually very good. I always take my own incase it goes wrong but I like to try them and they've been my favourite so far so please don't change it holiday inn!
