Perfect place to stay for skiing in Niseko! You can't beat the location and amenities here. 5 minute walk to the chair lift. And in the evening, it's right in the action, walkable to bars/restaurants. There is a ski locker room on the property for getting ready/storing equipment. Upstairs there is a lounge area to store baggage, get ready, hang out if you get there before your room is ready. Coin laundry. The property also has a beautiful onsen (highly recommend!). There was a great breakfast buffet every morning (included) and staff were so friendly and helpful. Rooms are a little outdated but very clean and comfortable and very spacious. It's a little expensive but it's worth it for a great experience in Niseko. Highly recommend!

Great breakfast, heaps of options. Beautiful onsen - one of the most peaceful hotel onsens from our trip! Great ski/boot storage. Good location walking distance to Grand Hirafu

Very expensive (roughly $600 per night for four people crammed into a traditional Japanese room). Would be great if breakfast could start at 7 rather than 730 to allow more time for the day's activities!

Amazing breakfast - lots of variety and caters both traditional and western style. The onsen was amazing. Our rooms was in the new building with traditional style living, we enjoyed the mattress on the floor and didn't have any issues with comfort there (I typically prefer a firm mattress so this was great). We also really liked the ski storage and common lounge provided.

Hotel seemed to be sparse on resources - minor things like new towels not being restocked on each floor but the front desk provided upon request so no issues there. The boot drying room was too hot, I think it may have affected my ski boot fit - next time I would not keep it in there.

Location is on the slope to the Hirafu base centre. So convenient and its close to many bus stop lines, restaurants, shops and so on. Buffet breakfast is fresh and amazing, lots of hot and cold choices, options change daily. Croissant is great and buttery. Took the Japanese style room without private bath and toilet, but during my stay, basically did not meet other guests in the toilet, low density usage. A large snowboard, ski and drying room is on ground level with direct access to the road. Pretty large and great for coming in and out of the property with the snow gears and changing. A large luggage storage room is provided for early or late check out. 2 decent lounge area, one on the old wing, one on the new wing, which seems comfortable.

The public onsen/bath is a little far from my Japanese style room, but it's ok for a short walk. AC temperature inside is too cold. Cleanliness and orderliness could be improved a little. Plenty of stairs to navigate between facilities in the old wing. Climbing up and down after a tired day is a bit drag. Certain time could be crowded at the breakfast room and equipment room. Hallway could be noisy at certain times depends on guests' behavior. Not the best noise proof walls.

The location is in the middle of main street in grand Hirafu, very convenient. The onsen is so nice that I think it's one of the best in Hirafu. Room is spacious and clean.

Good breakfast with adequate choices. It would be even better if more traditional Japanese style food such as miso soup, rice, etc are available.

Fantastic location as very easy to access the ski slopes. We stayed in a Japanese style room, which we loved, and it had plenty of space for us. The onsen has an indoor and outdoor option, which was lovely. Staff were absolutely delightful and helpful. The buffet style breakfast was excellent as well, although it only opened at 7.30am - it would have been better if possible to open at 7am.

Small complaint, but we didn't realise that "shared bathroom" meant onsen-only. We expected some communal showers on our floor, but there was none. Just for other travellers to keep in mind if booking rooms with shared bathrooms :)

Breakfast is excellent, the drying room for ski gear is convenient, the onsen temperature is good, and the futons are comfortable. There is a supermarket across the road, the nearest chairlift is only a couple of hundred metres away and bus stops are just slightly further. There is a comfortable lounge.

The building is old so sound travels rather easily - tire yourself out on the slopes to make sure you sleep! Also the wifi is not strong, but that applies to the whole town.

This is one of the hotels that get booked up really fast during ski season, and also offers one of the best value. We were travelling as a family of 4 (3 adults, 1 kid) and unfortunately due to its popularity had to break up our stay into 2 seperate bookings (3 nights in 1 large traditional room, and 1 night in 2 seperate western style rooms) At check in, we were informed that children above 2 years old were charged seperately (which only became evident to us after we ran through the small print on booking.com site). However, the staff were very kind to allow us to add on payment for that, and apologetic that they could not assign a bigger room. We didnt have to worry - the room was more than spacious - huge, with a sitting area looking out at Mount Yotei. The hotel onsen had its own traditional vibe to it despite being on the older side. We found ourselves taking baths at least 2 times a day there. Breakfast was amazing - with changes in the menu daily. While it was not a full spread, it was still more than sufficient, and the kitchen staff made sure that the serving trays were never empty. on 2 of the 4 days we stayed, they served strawberrries, and the sweet and sour pork was awesome. We particularly loved the sitting area with its traditional fireplace on L1, which appeared underutilised by other guests. We had a dinner gathering there on our last night, and the space was so cozy. Lastly, they do accept packages from Yamato, and also have their own store for visitors who bring their own boards/skis/boots. Didnt expect much at first from this traditional looking hotel but the amenities offered and space available here blew my mind.

Information on accomodation costs for children could have been better displayed on Booking.com site

The whole experience together feels like you're staying at a “home-stay” hotel! Location is amazing, so close to the base and welcome centre of ski area, and next to convenient stores/drugstores/ restaurants. The breakfasts were AMAZING, we stayed for 5 nights and every morning there are new addition to the buffet. Staff were all so helpful and friendly. Facilities were great there are several common rooms to chill, must go explore around the hotel there are a lot of hidden gems. convenient ski and snowboard storage rooms with warm boots area. ONSEN was greaaaaaaaaatt, you can look out onto the snow in the outdoor natural onsen. The room we chose had a view to yotei mountain and it was amazing too.

The vibe of the traditional Japanese room was cool, a great experience to have. The onsen and showers were awesome, so lovely for the night after skiing all day. Super close to the slopes only few minute walk and close to all bars and restaurants. Huge ski gear room and living areas as well.

Futons were not very comfortable, our backs are still recovering
