We booked a family room (the one with three singles) even though it was just three of us traveling because we wanted our adult son to have his own room. The room was spacious with a fabulous bathroom that had two sinks and a huge shower with two shower heads at opposite ends. The site is filled with WWII artifacts, and the host is happy to share the history of the location and area with guests. The breakfast was a nice way to start the day.

The king bed was two twin beds side-by-side, but they had separate duvets which was nice.

We had a lovely stay at Domaine Airborne. We had travelled specifically to see the many D-Day museums and locations and this accomodation was perfectly placed. We loved the theme of the property which was decorated beautifully. We also had the added bonus of enjoying a 2.5hour jeep tour which we both agreed was the highlight of our week. Incredible knowledge of the history of the area.

We were only there for 2 mornings but if we had been staying for longer, a slight variation on breakfast would have been nice.

Domaine Airborne was in a perfect location and surrounded by history. The room was big, clean and very comfortable. The attention to detail with the period pieces around the property were amazing. Breakfast was a huge bonus and the owner is very friendly and knowledgeable. You can arrange a tour around the area in a Willys however we did not have any free time factored into our itinerary to do this. I hope to be able to experience this during a future visit. Definitely recommend staying here.

If you are planning to visit the main D-Day spots at Utah, Omaha Beach, etc you should take Domaine Airborne as your main operations camp. This place is unique in Normandy, next to the "D" landing spot of the 101st Airborne Division, you will feel in the middle of the battlefield. This place was used as shelter by german soldiers before the D-Day landing and has been visited by famous 101st airborne veterans. The breakfast is delicious and the rooms are extraordinarily decorated. The owner will give you plenty of recommendations of places to visit and organize your trip. He has many "special" stories to tell if you are truly interested in II World War history. One last thing, before you visit Domaine Airborne, do not forget to watch "Bands of Brothers", you will understand why! Do not miss this place or you will regret!

This hotel/B&B was awesome. It is WWII-themed, which makes sense because of its location. Even though the property is old, the rooms are new and spotless. The host welcomed us and was very friendly. The breakfast was superb, and it was served in a room full of WWII memorabilia found in the property and its surroundings. I definitely recommend this property to anyone looking for a nice combination of history and nature.

Check out was a bit early if you are the type of person that likes to sleep (10am).

Our family of 4 from California stayed in a double room. Amazingly comfortable. Great shower. Comfy beds. Views of the grounds are astounding. The history surrounding the establishment is incredible. A short walk away is a spectacular church with story upon story. We also took a tour from Charles. None of us will soon forget it. His knowledge and care of seeing what we wanted to see and understand reflects the caring nature of the staff of Domaine Airborne. Breakfasts were amazing. Absolutely perfect. Amazing Bread. Fresh fruit and some of the best juice you’ll ever taste. What I did not like is that we did not rent a car. Super manageable driving. There are so many villages and towns surrounding the area that it would benefit you to have your own transportation. We took the train from Paris and then took a taxi. Next time, rent a car in Paris or somewhere between Paris and Carentan and choose your own adventure.

It’s impossible to find something wrong with a property that the lovely owners take so much pride in.

What’s not to love? A beautiful French domaine/farmhouse that is transformed into a perfect d-day experience with all modern amenities that you would expect for a couple days away from home, dipped in WW2 with style. Clean rooms, good breakfast and right next to Carentan and motorway (easy access to all the spots). The Dutch owners are very hospitable and can tell you all the stories what happened in many smaller places (and to visit them of course) that were so crucial in the battle that you otherwise would miss between the bigger hotspots and musea. Highly recommended!

Absolutely nothing.

The overal vibe of the location. You feel the history around you. The owner is great, and helpful. Alway nice always has some good word to you. When he realized we had to leave early he gave us some food for travel. The rooms are great, filled with furnitures and props that brings you back to 1944, yet they are fully equipped with everything one just needed.

This is simply a fantastic place to stay if you're at all interested in history in Normandy. Great location for any and all of the D-Day landings and subsequent liberation sites. Spacious accommodations with well appointed bathrooms. Lovely breakfast. Collection of artifacts as good as any museum. And being out in the French countryside just perfect-- quiet, relaxing and felt like all to ourselves. Hosts were fantastic and specifically helped me track the movements of a relative involved in the landings. Really can't overstate how fabulous our 3 days here were. If/when I get to go back to Normandy I will stay nowhere else.

Touring the D-Day sites was incredible and staying in Domaine Airbourne really added to the experience. The property was so well presented, breakfast was excellent and the host was most welcoming and shared the history of the location and the property which was packed with well placed D-Day memorabilia. A very enjoyable experience. We will be back...
