We loved our stay at Casa Comtesse. We stayed in the Colibri room. It was a spacious, corner room with art deco furniture, a very comfortable bed and views onto the courtyard. The bathroom was also a good size and had lots of sunlight. There was lots of hot water and the towels were great. There is no air conditioning. That was fine with us, as an excellent oscillating fan is provided, but folks who get really hot at night might not be ok. I was able to peek into a room next to ours and it was lovely as well. This room had the bathroom across the hall, something I never thought I would consider, but seeing how close and nice the bathroom is, I would not hesitate to stay in this room as well. The staff was incredibly nice and there was always someone at the front desk to answer questions and assist with any issues. The breakfasts were lovely, as were the ladies who cooked them. A different special was offered every morning and dietary adaptations were accommodated. There was always fresh fruit and juice and pastries as well. It was fun meeting other guests around the breakfast table. The other public spaces are beautiful and light filled as well. We enjoyed sitting in the plant filled courtyard with a beer one evening. (There is a full bar and fridge filled with beverages from which guests can serve themselves and a free, fun mescal tasting was included with our stay). The B&B is about a 10 minute walk from the subway (which was fun to use) and you can purchase and fill your metro card from a machine directly across the street in the bus top. La Condesa is a beautiful neighborhood and great for walking at any time of the day or night.

The shower head needs to be adjusted or replaced -- not a big deal.

The property is beautiful and unique. It is very homey, but also you feel like a guest at the same time. All the staff, from Thomas the owner to the desk staff (and bartenders) to the breakfast staff are excellent and warm. The room we stayed in, Amber, was great and comfortable.

The only downside of that room is that the bathroom can get very hot and steamy due to poor ventilation. Lastly, it’s important to note that the B&B doesn’t have A/C.

We had an amazing time in Casa Comtesse over the holidays. It’s a cozy bed and breakfast with only 8 rooms which makes it feel more like a home than a hotel, but with excellent service. Excellent location in Condesa, next to a ton of restaurants and bars, walking distance to Chapultepec and Roma. Super friendly and helpful staff. Breakfasts! Every day there was a breakfast special cooked to order. They also provided us with breakfast to-go when we were leaving early. Free mezcal tasting, cute little bar and happy hour every day. Cozy room, comfortable bed, excellent housekeeping.

Water in the shower / sink took extremely long to warm up but it’s not a problem if you turn hot water in advance.

This was my last night in Mexico city after 17 days, from hostels to fancy hotels, and what a treat. My room was spacious and beautiful, excellent bed, sheets, view over the trees. Very quiet (very rare in Mexico city!) and in a trendy area with high-quality bars and restaurants within walking distance. The staff was absolutely adorable and knowledgeable, they gave me excellent tips for shopping, and knew the stories behind the many beautiful pieces of art exposed and sold in this elegant hotel. I really enjoyed the mezcal tasting and bought one of their bottles. I will come back and will keep great memories for months. Keep up the great work, what an exceptional place. Loved the breakfast as well, freshly made and superbly presented.

I believe the ceiling fan in my room was not working, it didn't bother me (in Mexico City it was not warm at night, no need for a fan) and I mentioned it to the staff when I left as the previous guests omitted to do so.

This charming hotel is in a beautiful 1943 building typical of the neighbourhood, which has been nicely renovated and decorated with mexican art. It has a convenient location next to a beautiful and safe area and close to public transportation. There is a nice and calm backyard. The breakfast was excellent with a variety of options:typical mexican dish of the day, fruits, yoghurt, pastry, fresh bread etc The room and common spaces were being meticulously cleaned everyday. The staff is kind and helpful, the ambient nice. Our spatious room had soundproof windows so that the main street noise was not a problem at all. Overall, our hotel was part of the nice mexican experience and we would definetely repeat our stay

Minor issues, like shower draining being a little too slow, bed too soft

Casa Comtessa was such a delightful find. It had so much character and the staff were so welcoming that it was a pleasure to return to after a day of exploring the city. We loved the communal breakfast, the unique furniture and art in each room and having a drink in the cool courtyard. Juan and all of the staff were always smiling and ready to help.

I loved everything but the rooms could be a bit warm in the summer due to lack of air conditioning. This wasn’t an issue for us in April.

Casa Comtesse aligned with us, as people. The B&B is an art gallery! Every where you turn, there are stunning photographs, paintings, one of a kind prints and sculptures. The decor is unique. The backyard and front entrance are embraced by beautiful plants and flowers, comfortable seating areas that are amazing to read, write and meditate in. We stayed in the El Oriente suite, which had an entrance area with a mirror, ledge to leave keys and items, and a desk with two chairs. We had a seating area facing a massive window (entire wall!) overlooking the garden. The light that greeted us every morning through the trees was magical. Our bed was massive and comfortable. We had a sufficient amount of towels and linens, the water pressure and temperature was great and the bathroom size just right. The coffee maker in the room was a huge plus to help start the day. Breakfast was awesome; a variety of options (pastries, coffee, tea, granola, yogurt, fresh juice, ham and cheese) and included a daily local special. The staff here have amazing attitude and are dedicated to their craft in hospitality. Everything was explained in great detail and questions always had an answer or suggestion for support. The mezcal bar was a beautiful touch - don't miss a tasting of local libations to learn and live CDMX style!

Nothing - this is a great place in Mexico City's Condesa neighbourhood.

We loved the location! We could walk around Condensa and Roma. It also felt very safe. The bed was comfortable and there was no noise whatsoever. The breakfast is AMAZING! And the staff is welcoming and very nice.

They have lots of beverages in the fridge for you to grab. You have to write down what you got so they can charge it to your room. Someone grabbed two soft drinks under our room name. We were charged for them even though we did not drink them and there was no way to prove otherwise. That was a bummer.

Elegant architecture and rooms were gorgeous with art everywhere. staff were attentive, warm and charming. breakfast was exceptional and the coffee all day was amazing and access to kitchen and grounds wonderful.

the bathroom shared a glass block window an the bathroom of the room next door. only an issue when in the middle of the night they turned on their light but it lit up my bathroom and scared me because it was like someone was in my bathroom! as a solo traveller unnerving. but once I understood it I just closed my bathroom door.
