Location of the hotel is excellent, is in walking distance to many landmarks, shops, bars and restaurants. It is also very easy to access public transport and the castle is very close by. Room was modern and of a decent size and also had air conditioning. Breakfast options were small, but I enjoyed that they could make eggs for you as you wish upon request e.g. fried, omelette, scrambled etc. Staff at the hotel was very nice.
Larger selection of breakfast options, found ourselves eating the same thing everyday due to lack of choice. We were not informed that there was a massive construction site just across from the hotel before our stay. This meant that we were woken up early daily due to loud construction noise and construction vehicles as this was right outside of our room.

It was a good central location and the bed was very comfortable, which helped to have a good sleep after walking all day
There was no kettle to be able to make a cup of tea or coffee in the room, which would've been very welcome after walking all day before heading out for dinner. Also I could hear the following in the room next door when they went for showers, flushing the toilet and running the water from the bathroom taps after midnight. Not that I'm saying folk can't go for showers or flush the toilet after midnight, but maybe the hotel could look at the soundproofing between bathrooms and the next door bedrooms.

The 8 Hotel in Lisbon is a boutique gem that offers a vibrant, retro-inspired experience right in the heart of the city. The hotel is tucked into a prime spot in Lisbon’s historic centre, minutes away from iconic sights like Praça do Comércio and Chiado. I loved that I could step out of the hotel and be immediately immersed in the city's buzz, with the Alfama district just a short walk away. Plus, the nearby metro and tram lines made it easy to explore further afield without hassle. The 8 Hotel has nailed that vintage-meets-modern aesthetic, with retro furniture pieces that feel playful yet thoughtfully curated. There’s this warmth to the place—the chairs, lighting, and even the colors feel nostalgic without being kitschy. It’s like staying in a friend’s trendy loft with just the right amount of quirk, which gave it a personality I haven’t found in larger hotels. The staff at 8 Hotel might be one of its biggest highlights. They didn’t just check me in—they made an effort to get to know me, offer suggestions on hidden spots around Lisbon

The room was large enough but lacking in draw space for clothes. The bath was adequate but needed shelving and draw space for towels and toiletries The shower was large and water pressure good. Again no shelf to put soap bottles Staff was very helpful and offered local dining locations and items to eat.
Elevators don't go to every floor had to get off on 3rd fl and walk down to 2nd fl room with luggage then in reverse to leave. No problem for young people but wife and I are 75 & 74 with back problems.

LOCATION! We loved the location, it was right in the middle of the main shopping area, in between amazing coffee shops, top rated restaurants and bars. The hotel itself was very clean, decorated well and had massive windows which made the rooms so bright.
The lift only goes to even numbers, which is slightly in convenient especially if you are dragging heavy luggage up and down. However, other than that, would still recommend this charming hotel when visiting Lisbon!

Everything was perfect and easy to access, with landmarks, numerous attractions, and various restaurants just a short distance away. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, the breakfast was delicious with plenty of options, and the location couldn’t have been better. It truly made our stay enjoyable and hassle-free
Unfortunately, while the cleaning was tidy, we often had to sneeze. We discovered a lot of dust under the bed, which surprised us. Every time we got on the bed, dust puffed out, explaining our sneezing.

We stayed at The 8 in the heart of Lisbon at the end of June 2024, and it was an exceptional experience. The location is simply perfect, right in the city center, allowing us to explore Lisbon on foot with great ease. The hotel’s decor is elegant, creating a welcoming and refined atmosphere. Every detail has been carefully considered, making our stay even more enjoyable. The service was also up to our expectations: the staff is warm, attentive, and always ready to help, ensuring our stay was unforgettable. Another highlight of this hotel is the air conditioning, which was especially appreciated after a day spent exploring Lisbon’s sunny streets. In summary, The 8 is an excellent choice for a stay in Lisbon, offering optimal comfort, impeccable service, and a dream location to fully enjoy this beautiful city.

The receptionist, Philipa, was very friendly, knowledgeable and helpfull with local restaurants. The location in Baixa made it easy to walk to restauants and attractions. The room was large and laid out very well, with sufficient hanger space, shelves and drawers.
The breakfast area was small and breakfast had to be arranged a day in advance. The elevator stopped directly on the first floor, but stopped between the second and third floors with a short flight of stairs to each.

The location is a 10. It is a flat, straight walk up Rua da Vitoria as you leave Alameda Metro Station, Close to Praca Rossio, Rua Agusta, the Rua Augusta Arc & Praca do Comércio. Lots of restaurants in the area. The unit was spacious, with a spacious bathroom. Very comfortable beds. Airconditioner. Unit was also clean. Nice breakfast included in the price. Staff was courteous and professional. Should I visit Lisbon again, I will stay here again. The 2 day-1 night stopover in Lisbon was way too short to really enjoy the city.
The furniture in the room [dressing table] is dated. It would be nice to have a coffee machine in the room. The lights in the corridor are motion activated, but did not come on as we approached our door. That left the corridors dark & uncomfortable. The reception counter could be upgraded.

Great location in old downtown Lisbon and only a short walk from a wide choice of excellent restaurants. Room was clean, comfortable and pretty quiet considering the city location. Breakfast was simple but they did offer freshly cooked eggs any style which was a nice touch. Special mention to the fact that the reception is manned 24h a day which is vital if your flight doesn’t get in until midnight like ours did. Overall a really good place to stay, simple, comfortable and in a good location.
Nothing.
