Amazing location, very spacious room, super clean, and relatively comfortable. Furthermore, the shower was great - it was large, had great water pressure, and the water stayed hot. Also, while the room did not have air conditioning (*which we were aware of upon booking), the portable fan actually did a great job at keeping the room cool, and we could keep the windows open at night, as they conveniently had fly screens.

There are a lot of stairs to climb and they are incredibly steep and lack depth, which felt a bit unsafe when trying to lug suitcases up them. Also, when you first enter the hotel, there is quite a pungent stale smell that permeates the air in the main corridor/up the first flight of stairs.

Fantastic location.Just off Rembrandplein with a great choice of bars and restaurants.We had a lovely spacious room at the back...no noise from the bars nearby at all.A little oasis of calm.Very quiet hotel.Room a little tired but full of charm.Walking distance to all main sights( even for husband of 85). Very helpful, friendly staff.Helped carry our cases down the steep stairs for us.Thank you. We will be returning.

We had trouble understanding the key pad as we arrived out of hours and could only get in when a couple already staying arrived.( Reception is open 8 till 8)There is no way of contacting anyone. Each button has 2 digits on it(not one as we're used to) Hence if the door entry is e.g 1278 you would press the button with 1/ 2 twice and the button with 7/8 twice. Hope that helps.

Comfortable location next to tram station and Rembrandt square. Around lost of good quality restaurants. We can walk around from that point to any showplace/landmarks easy and short distance. Amazing staff, very helpful and doing great cleaning at room.

Quite noisy, because downstairs a night club. We expected just rest in that city, but Amsterdam definitely not that type of city. While was cold and windows there closed it was tolerable, but with open windows you definitely wouldn’t sleep till 4-5 am. Regarding taxi - better check price. We preorder taxi, because of early leaving, and the price was to high, moreover it growth while we approached to station 😁

Great localization. Spacious room with street view. Cozy, home-like (or more like cottage-like) room decor. Everyday cleaning (exceptional). Good free wifi and towels included. Possibility to leave your baggage before and after check in.

Loud noise from the street and traditional douch abrupt stairs - but to be fair it was included in booking info, so you come prepared. Room could have a mini fridge (but also not listed on booking).

The owner and his staff were very friendly and helpful. Great location, with plenty of bars and restaurants with lots of different options for food, depending on what you fancy. My room was very clean and comfortable. I liked it that much I didn't want to leave, so stayed for a 6th night. Would definitely stay here again.

Was not keen on my room being on the top floor, but that's just luck of the draw at the time of booking, I suppose. The lack of tea/coffee making facilities in the room was a bit of an issue. The hotel would supply but at a cost (I think, not 100% sure).

Location, central with good tram and bus links. Also very easy walk to lots of interesting parts of Amsterdam. Helpful and pleasant staff. They helped us carry our luggage up steep staircase and helped us enjoy out holiday by sharing local knowledge. Comfortable, warm room.

Extremely steep, narrow staircase. You need to be fit an able-bodied to stay here.

Hotel seemed tucked away but location was fantastic, walkable to everywhere. We were really pleased with how close everything was. Quite basic but all the essentials needed, we were out most of the day every day but it was clean and someone came and refreshed our room daily.

Super thin walls, we went during pride week but it was more noisy inside then the partying outside. We felt like people were inside our room because of how loud it was. Also pillows were soooo thin, but the bed itself was really comfortable.

Great location, small and cute hotel over looking the main area- Remberandtplein. Loved the room with old-style decor, comfy bed and room. The staff was helpful and friendly.

The wallpapers are coming a bit off and with a bit of care it can become a real pearl. I love the style- old dutch house, but it can use a bit of love.

Lovely stay at Hotel Imperial. Amazing hotel location with so many options to keep you busy all day ad night! Lots of restaurants and cafes, easy access to transportation, plentiful shopping (discount to luxury), and great location to visit museums. There is a shy yet inquisitive house cat who keeps a watchful eye guests. Tip: Given the popular location, local restaurants and bars stay open late for patrons. If you are a light sleeper, book a room in back of the hotel which overlooks a charming courtyard.

Our room was very comfortable. The bathroom was large and had a lot of storage for toiletries and great shower. They had bar with a good selection of wine and beer and courtyard/indoor seating. Nice hotel ambiance.

The breakfast selection was just okay (one had to cook their own eggs with a machine provided), but they did have non-dairy creamer so that was a plus.
