I really like the hotel, but I wasn't happy with the tipping expectation at the complimentary breakfast. Technically, it's optional, but the staff make it quite clear that tips are expected, which felt a bit uncomfortable.

Location is very good, I used to live and work in TO, so I am familiar with the area and that’s why I picked this hotel. Years ago I stayed at the same building when it was called Intercontinental. My room was very comfortable and clean. The staff at the restaurant was very friendly and efficient.

Unfortunately, the kitchen/food did not meet the standards/quality you might expect from a five star hotel. I had breakfast almost every morning, a few dinners at the bar and 3 dinners served in the room. At one time I was served stale baked potato,(in room service) it tasted like rubber, I was hungry so I wanted to eat it no matter what, but it really was horrible. It must have been a left over, or reheated several times. Also at breakfast - again stale potatoes - home fries served/reheated, tasted like they were perhaps left overs from the previous morning. How can one go wrong with potatoes? Gave me the impression that perhaps the kitchen was trying to cut down the expenses, so why waste the excess amount, just reheat and serve them the next morning.

The staff was friendly, the location was very good, and the restaurant was good.

Not enough lighting in the room to work comfortably in spite of the side lamps. The desk side lamp was positioned to the right hand side of the desk which throws a shadow, for a right handed person when writing. The electric cable to the side lamp was tied so it was not possible to shift the position of the side lamp to the left side and avoid the shadow on the paper I was writing upon. I had to untie the electric cable, below the desk, in order to relocate the side lamp. The cashier made a mistake in my bill, upon check out, she corrected the excess charges when I pointed it out. The hotel does not have a good flat parking rate per day with the adjoining garage.

Rooms and bathrooms are spacious and comfortable. You have everything you need in the room.

The hotel is perfectly located! I spent one night only and wished I stayed for more. The breakfast was included in my room charges, and it was exceptional! The room was very spacious, had a nice view, and was very clean. So was the bathroom. I had all the amenities and other things available in the room if we wanted to purchase them.

The place is a bit pricey, but compared to other hotels in the area, it is not bad at all. We traveled by car so we also had to pay for parking. It was a bit hectic to look for parking in the area so we paid valet parking and it is expensive. Also, make sure your room includes breakfast because if you pay it on site it is very expensive.

The hotel is located in a very nice area with lots of restaurants and luxurious shops. It’s only a walking distance from the nicest area Yorkville where you can find the best restaurants and bars. The hotel is very nice and comfortable with modern rooms. The staff were very friendly and checking in was very easy and fast. The rooms are spacious and nicely decorated. Extremely clean and well maintained. The bed is very comfortable with very soft bedding and comfortable pillows. Everything needed is available in the room which included a mini fridge, a safety box, iron and ironing board, A/C, big flat screen tv, hair dryer, plenty of fresh towels, toiletries, shampoo, conditioner and body wash, lotion and more. The only missing items were slippers and bath robes which I’m assuming can be ordered from the housekeeping. I also found it very convenient that the hotel has a public parking underneath and a pharmacy next door. A Tim Hortons cafe 1 min away and a convenience shop close by which made our stay very convenient. I will definitely stay there again.

The internet keeps disconnecting. It would have been nice if they place water bottles everyday in the room.

Spacious, beautifully furnished room with almost nothing to complain about but the weird „smart“ fridge and accessory’s shelf (a sensor basically records if you take something and if you don’t put it back within a few seconds, you are automatically charged). Very nice restaurant, extremely friendly staff. Nicely situated in one of the most beautiful quarters of the city with a five minute walk to the subway and about 45 walking minutes away from the lake.

The small swimming pool could be a nice place to relax after half a day of rain if there weren‘t the swimming lessons for kids… It’s basically unusable in the afternoon. What bugged us most was the hotel‘s interpretation of „breakfast included“. The breakfast is not included, what is included - and only disclosed upon arrival - is a 30$ voucher per person for á la carte breakfast. Conveniently enough, there is exactly one breakfast on the menu, the continental, which costs 30$ with a coffee and a juice included. Whatever else you order, you are most definitely exceeding the 30$ because no drinks are included and you are charged for every single cup of watery filter coffee. This should be disclosed in the booking process so guests can make an informed decision.

I loved the location. It was as very central and I felt I was right in the middle of Yorkville. Beautiful hotel, the lobby was very nicely decorated and it felt like you’re in a very fancy establishment. The bed was comfy and I loved the room layout. The pool and sauna area were a little old and dated but still nice to have these amenities available.

Honestly wasn’t a huge fan of the fact they really deter you from putting your own food into the mini fridge. If you take out any of the items from the fridge you can get charged for them even if it’s for 30 seconds. So really didn’t like that as I was there for a few nights and having my own food readily available is essential for me.

Truly exceptional hotel in the heart of Yorkville - arguably the best upscale neighborhood in Toronto. The room was huge with an amazing shower booth. Cleanliness 10/10. Sound proofing 10/10. Bed 10/10. Location 10/10. These ratings were not offered lightly.

*Valet parking was quite expensive but you can easily find garage public parking within a 5 min walking distance and in half price. *We did pay for breakfast with our reservation but were informed at the restaurant that only covered 30 dollars/day/person. That was not sufficient to get a meal + coffee and we did have to pay a bit extra. So if you are looking for a hearty breakfast included in the price this is not necessarily it. That said, the food itself was exceptional and the staff was polite and attentive.

The staff was super attentive and nice. The room was very spacious and clean, exceeding my expectations. The location is perfect: It is in central Yorkville, so it feels safe and is next to so many shopping places, brunches, restaurants, and, in general, a good area just to take a walk! Regarding price, it is very pricy, but comparing it to the whole area, I would say it's within the normal price range for that area and the fact that it is Canada!

Price wise if it could be lower it would be perfect but everything else very good!
