Location is perfect. Staff very attentive.

The king bed were two twin beds put together. For a junior suite, it’s supposed to be a single mattress. However, it’s worth noting that we didn’t raise the issue with them. The reception charged me for €4689 instead of €4263. They made a mistake of charging me for 4 nights based on there daily rates & not my booking rate. I asked if the extra charge was a deposit to use for the restaurant or laundry for example. They said no. I went back & forth, but the receptionist wasn’t willing to admit he made a mistake. His answer was that this is just a pre-authorization only.

We stayed for three nights. From the moment we arrived we felt immediately welcome. Throughout the stay the staff recognised us and called us by name. On one occasion driving back to the hotel in our car the road we normally went down was blocked and Eugene the doorman guided us in by phone for nearly ten minutes, driving in the centre of Florence is a bit tricky. The room was beautifully appointed and the housekeeping was excellent. Biscuits and copious amounts of water left in room. Shower and bathroom best so far in our trip across Italy. Breakfast was excellent, nothing was too much trouble and staff very attentive, never waited for a moment. We would usually have a drink in the evening before setting out for a meal and again great service, drinks served with olives and nuts etc. A proper 5 star hotel slap bang in the middle of Florence.

Magnificent property. Newly renovated. Emily from Guest Service is AMAZING! She makes everyone feel like they are at home instead of at a hotel. She is smart and has much cultural humility, as well. Franco greeted is upon arrival and anticipated our needs! Kind thoughtful. The concierge pulled off a small miracle and arranged ticket to the Academia for us to see David, completely at the last minute. We had a suite. Was a wonderful stay!

- The price - Access to the hotel as I’m driving my own car ,even though I was reassured by the hotel staff they will notify the police department of my car plate not to fine me for any driving thr. Traffic restricted zone and any area pendolae , but still the people in the streets were very upset as I was driving in pedestrian zone . That made me a bit uncomfortable 😣

This was by far our favorite trip and the best hotel we’ve ever stayed at. We travel a lot for work and personal and this exceeded our expectations. Thank you to the whole staff for making us feel so comfortable and going above and beyond with everything from the beds to the cappuccino every morning that was made at restaurant and we were able to take up to our room. I’d also like to add at the end when we were checking out, our daughter fell down the stairs and the staff was beyond amazing trying to help console her and help me wrap her swollen ankle. The very close proximity to the major areas of Florence, the Hotel staff were of a very high standard, the breakfast choice was very good and to a high standard The bed and linen were excellent loved the walk in wardrobe

We had a junior suit and maybe it would have been better if the location was over the Piazza not at the end of it. Would have been nice to have balcony their wasn't any where to sit as a lounge area apart from reception area No where to sit and enjoy room dining the large sofa was uncomfortable Not enough English channel as compared to other countries, would have been nice to have had a sewing kit and show shine

The place is great! The staff was amazing and always helpful, specially the team in the front door that were very nice, friendly and helpful. Irene’s restaurant food was also very good!

I could do more days there ;) a bit pricey but totally worth it…

Nothing really. Excellent. We were very impressed with the efficiency and friendliness of the staff. To a person they were great. The room was very comfortable. 2 bathrooms was a bonus.
