Fantastic location, all facilities available, even the top floor balcony bar with a view on Duomo. Very noisy at night so bring your ear plugs. Stuff is very friendly and helpful. Room service at 2pm cleaning and changing everything which I was actually surprised as I came back to my room for something and found my door open with room service inside but they quickly left my room. You can eat breakfast in the hotel downstairs, they have cafe open all day. Late check-in available. Fantastic overall.

There were no hangers for towels in bathroom, there were only 2 electric sockets in a room in not quite suitable location. Very noisy at night. In the morning bells are ringing twice before 8am and 20 minutes later so wake up alarm is not changeable :)

Location top. 6 floor terrace top. Room was clean. Friendly staff except women on 18. and 19 morning on the Rezeption.

I arrived on 18.07.24 around 2pm to the hotel. The woman look bored and aggressiv and unfriendly. After I give to Check in my passport she looks around and says I don’t have a reservation. I didn’t booked it this hotel. Than I asked the name of the hotel and I say I booked for two nights in hotel Medici. Than She immediately said ok you booked… she was rude hole conversation. Happy night duty and on 20.07. Was nice kind girls.

Pros: location, many POI's within easy walking distance.. fantastic views from the roof top bar. Initial interaction with staff a little on the frigid side but all others over the next 3 day's were great, they provided awesome tips and helped out where they could. There was no air conditioning, which meant you needed to open the windows, this brought in the mozzies and the street noise. If you were there in summer I think it would have been very uncomfortable. Cons: location, being in a great spot also means everyone is having a great time, and the Italians like to party until 0500, and then you have the local merchants dragging thier carts through the streets. Noisy bastards, but all part of the holiday experience. The bells!! Farging awesome, the bells from the tower sound numerous times throughout the day, unbelievably loud in our room but fantastic to hear.. if you're not an early riser you may not appreciate as we did.. :)

The location is fantastic, it’s attached to a cafe at the bottom. The lady in here can be a little grumpy if you don’t speak Italian but you get by. Food in the cafe is good, the danishes are amazing and the coffee is good. Lovely old looking building with character. It has a fantastic roof top bar area with cocktails and bar snacks on offer. It’s mildly shaded (but could do with more shading). It’s a stone throw from the centre which is genuinely breathtaking.

There’s no air conditioning! It was so hot in the room and the only way to keep cool was to leave the room fan blasting all night. And this second one may not be every room, but the toilet in our room was really high from the ground so you weren’t comfortable. I had to get a stool (no pun intended) when on there to put my feet on.

The best location, in the very centre of Florence, il Duomo is just around the corner. Great value for money. The staff is very friendly and helpful. I got a free room upgrade which was amazing. The rooftop bar has the most beautiful view. As it is the very centre of the city, please be aware that there is noise from the streets at night and early morning (which I expected given the location).

Location was superb, right in the thick of it! Bed was super comfy and shower was good. Lovely Juliette balcony. Reception and cleaning staff very friendly.

We tried on two occasions to have a drink on the roof terrace, which was one of the attractions in booking, the first occasion we left after more than 20 minutes of being ignored by the waiters! On the second time we were again ignored, even after going to the bar to be told someone would serve us, other people were having the same problem while others were served almost immediately! I virtually had to accost the waiter as he made to go past us again, eventually getting a drink! We complained to the person on reception who said he would ask management to contact us, we are home now having heard nothing more! But for the waiting staff we would have given the hotel a 10.

The location is so great, nothing else matters :) The very center of Florence, the Cathedral Santa Maria del Fiore, is practically 20 m away from the hotel entrance. Everything else in the old, interesting Florence is hundreds of meters away. Great. Polite and helpful staff, decently comfortable room, nice private bathroom.

The traffic and its limitations make it VERY (I mean VERY) difficult to drive there. Especially when you are an American driver, used with wide roads going straight from one end of the city to the other :) Do not expect such conditions in Italy in general. The staff explained on the phone how to reach Via Roma (next to the hotel) - we needed to break a few rules to make it there - then a professional local driver took care of our rented car and brought it back when we needed it. Very well done actually, well organized. Another unusual, exotic (but annoying, sorry) element are the bells of the cathedral, starting their concert at 7 am :( in an area where guests from, maybe, 20-50 hotels can hear them very well.

Location was fantastic with a view of the bell tower and Duomo. Only approx 100m from the cathedral. Room was immaculate with cleaning done each day.

Towels were more like table cloths and not fit for purpose. Lots of street noise throughout the night, trucks, cars, rubbish collection etc. making sleeping difficult. Be warned but due to it's great location the cathedral bells which start ringing at 7am are very loud.

Brilliant location! Nice and clean room, nothing fancy but perfect for a citytrip. Location is absolutely amazing, close to everything. Housekeeping staff is very friendly.

Do bring earplugs! The street is noisy, but so is the rest of the hotel. The visitors to the rooftop bar arent always considerate with their noise levels, but nothing good earplugs won't fix.

Great comfortable budget place right in the heart for Florence with all attractions a short walk including the train station. Clean, comfortable, nice staff. Nice wardrobe closet and drawers to put away clothes. The very now famous bar on the 6th floor. In spite of negative comments, we have stayed at the hotel for 4 times over 20 years and would recommend and return

No breakfast available, if you want something inexpensive and open at 6:30 you need to go around the corner to Caffe Brunelleschi. Shower is small and hard to scrub feet for older man. There is no shelf in the shower so you have to hold or put products on the shower floor. No towels racks so you have to throw used towels on the floor since only clean towels have a rack. No bidet towel rack. No shower mat, had to use towel
