This place provided refuge after a very hard and long day. Having been delayed by a “Glacial Burst” we were in contact with the owner who was extremely helpful. His local knowledge was by far the most informative of anyone we spoke to about the situation we found ourselves, and we followed his advice successfully. Upon a very late arrival we found we could park directly outside the room while the key was in the door. Needing an early start next day breakfast was served efficiently and with good cheer by a friendly Portuguese man. I’m saying the people involved with this establishment are really good.

There's nothing to report. The place is perfectly functional for what it is. If you really want to be picky you could say the views from the room aren't great.

This laid-back approach contributed significantly to the overall feeling of comfort and ease during my stay. My accommodation was a charming little house entirely constructed from wood, with thoughtful and attractive decorations that created a cozy and welcoming atmosphere. The eating area followed suit, adorned with vintage decorations and decorative natural flowers, making every meal feel special. Having a parking spot right next to my house added an extra layer of convenience, simplifying my daily excursions. While the accommodation didn’t offer dinner during my stay due to the low season, this turned out to be a hidden blessing. It led me to explore the nearby city of Hofn, where I discovered some fantastic restaurants for my evening meals. In summary, my stay at Árnanes Country Hotel was nothing short of delightful, thanks to the incredible warmth of the owners, the beauty of the surroundings, and the comfort of my accommodation. I left feeling refreshed and grateful for the experience.

Everything was amazing! We loved the hotel, the atmosphere, the staff! The hotel is located very close to Höfn. But since it is outside of the town, there are no lights around at night which means higher chances to see the northern lights! We stayed there early April and we weren't very hopeful to see the northern lights but thanks to the owner of the hotel who went to every door at the hotel and let everybody know when the northern lights were visible, we saw it! She is just an amazing person and we are thankful for her. She also gave us great advice for our roadtrip and she sure was right, you have to listen to the locals' advice when it comes to which road to take in Iceland. Anyways, the breakfast was very nice, our room was very cosy and spacious. You can park right outside of the door of your room. We couldn't ask for a better place for the price.

I really liked the room itself, which was very spacious (as well as the bathroom), tidy, and quiet with the kettle and coffee and tea. The room was heated up before we arrived which was very nice. The beds were very comfy and also we had a view of the east so we could admire the sunrise which was great. Climatic and cozy place with tasty breakfast and cool background music :) I also like the surroundings and its closeness to the Höfn town (groceries, dinner, etc).

We liked the location, and the room (a cabin type) was basic, clean, and warm, with comfortable beds. There was a little seating area, TV and a kettle. The breakfast was nice: amazing herring and the selection of jams. No hot food. Staff (the Polish lady) was kind and friendly. The accommodation is an hour away from ice caves, and the scenery driving to the place is truly astonishing.

The bathroom was unpleasant - the type of wet room with shower having the same floor as the bathroom floor. Usually, in a place called hotel, you have your room made daily. This didn't happen - only rubbish was taken out. Two tea bags for two people for two nights.

Absolutely wonderful! Everything about this hotel exceeded my expectations. The staff is incredibly friendly and attentive, providing top-notch service. After spending a week in Iceland, we can confidently say that our stay with you was the best and most memorable. From the moment we arrived, the reception staff welcomed us with warmth and friendliness, setting the tone for a wonderful stay. Our room was spacious, fresh, and recently cleaned, with comfortable beds and fresh, crisp linen that ensured a good night's sleep. The bathroom was also spacious, with a large showerhead and plenty of hot water, making it easy for us to unwind and relax after a long day of exploring. We appreciated the TV in our room, which offered a welcome break from our adventures, with channels providing information on the history of Iceland and volcanic facts. The breakfast was a delicious spread of continental foods as well as local delicacies, including shark, which was a unique and exciting experience for us. The variety and quality of food offered were impressive, and we enjoyed every bite. We were also grateful for the convenient parking arrangement that allowed us to park our car right outside our room, which made packing up in the rain much easier. Overall, our stay at your hotel was a truly wonderful experience, and we are grateful for the level of service and attention to detail provided by your staff.

Each accomdation is in a separate cabin, which gives it a country feel. Can park right outside the cabin. Located in a dark area, should be suitable for catching Northern lights. Breakfast included. Food was very fresh and there are a wide variety of items. Owner will constant top up food. Great view in the morning while having breakfast. Television provided, however it was on top of a tall cabinet and signal wasn't good.

Bathroom window does not have any blinds, outsiders are able to look into it. Not sure how to operate bathroom radiator. Limited hot water for shower. No teaspoons and refrigerator in room.

Located near to the city of Hofn. Arnanes really is one of the highlight our of trip as we spend a good times here during our stay. The staff at the restaurant is very polite as well and the unit is like a small terrace house made up mainly by timber. A short drive will get you to Hofn where you can spend a good dinner there and drove back to the hotel for a good rest. Recommended to those who visiting Hofn, Arnanes would be a good choice to spend your night here :)

The hotel is situated in the middle of an unbelievably beautiful part of the country, between Vatnajokull national park and east fjords. The room was sparkling clean and really comfy, and the view from our room window was just breathtaking. The check-in was contactless, we were arriving quite late and the property management sent us detailed instructions about check-in process. The breakfast next morning was fantastic!
