Well appointed room was comfortable and clean, most comfortable bed ever and bar/ restaurant on site. Super speedy check in and check out, stellar cleaning staff. Beautiful views from my upstairs room.

Location is terrific. Leave the car there and walk to town easily. Our room was basic, but roomy/spacious. Really clean! Upon arrival, we were greeted by the woman with a beaming smile and wasn’t put out in the slightest by our request to check in an hour earlier as we’d come from out of town. She was an absolute delight to be greeted by. During our two night stay, another guest next to us had made contact with my vehicle! Extremely disappointing, but the lovely man working the reception was most helpful in assisting with insurance details if I needed them. He also allowed me to park in his own car park when two other guests had impinged from both sides so I could get my vehicle into my allocated park. Jolly Good Fellows bar/pub/restaurant next door was SO handy and made it the best choice for a meal on our first night so we didn’t need to find somewhere in town. Also good to have a few drinks and walk across the carpark back home! Really great place to stay! So happy with comfy bed and great air con and lovely pillows and friendly helpful staff!

- Described a fully equipped kitchen but there was no toaster? Not a big deal, but I’d specifically brought toast and bagels to have in the unit for our breakfast and then nothing to toast them in. - Car parking was extremely tight. Other than that, no problems; it really was a great stay.

Real close to town, I had an electric car and the chargers were handy as they were right around the corner, restaurants and bars are located just a 10 minute walk or 2 minute drive away

Parking, parking was a nightmare as there’s almost no room for parking, I had my neighbour knock on my door if I could move my car forward so he could get in his vehicle, on returning he made his partner get out of the vehicle before entering the car park, both vehicles were tight on one side which still made it hard for anyone to get in and out of their vehicles.

Room neeede a bit of TLC. Curtains were stained and the mini fridge was noisy and rusty and leaked a bit.

Easy walk across the road for a swim in the lake. Heat pump/cooler to keep the room at a comfortable temperature. Really comfortable bed. Tiniest fridge but extremely quiet which is a bonus for light sleepers. A previous occupier seemed to have packed the bench top induction cooker to go so there was initially nothing to cook on. This was soon rectified by the office manager who immediately found a stovetop element I could use. The motel is right by what used to be the main road, but heavy traffic now mostly travels on the new back road so road noise wasn't a noticeable intrusion for me. Very pleasant service staff who diligently checked every day if I required clean towels, I stayed 4 nights.

I am not usually a fan of net curtains but given the full view to the road and pedestrian traffic, it have might have felt a bit more private having some. I did get used to the openness.

Conveniently located on the lakefront and within easy reach of centre (can be walked but you might want to drive). Four Square supermarket within walking distance. There's a promenade across the road for an evening stroll. Great views of the distant Tongariro Regional Park from the lakefront and but only from the three rooms facing the lake and you need to specify and pay extra for them.

We were unfortunately in a ground floor room, with a view of the car park and next to the adjoining jolly fellows pub - a bit noisy with their back doors open. Very poor WiFi - no speed at all and the connection kept dropping

The staff were friendly and efficient - the room was warm and comfortable - even though it was very cold outside when we were there. It was great to have the spa bath to enjoy.

It's a small thing really - but the cutlery was very poor quality and minimal, as was the crockery. We only needed it to make a simple breakfast but decent spoons and knives would gave been appreciated compared to the low quality thin ones we were provided. But it didn't spoil our lovely few days there .

Beds were comfortable. Location was perfect for our needs. Small things let the room down, such as sensor light in bathroom could have been a lower wattage bulb. Covers on electrical sockets. Some of the furniture, i.e. tv table could have been removed.

The room was spotless the spa a bonus. Then we had the view of lake and mountains with a little snow on the top .been traveling for a week so needed to use laundry 🧺 it was free ☺️ the restaurant right next door has beautiful food .this will be our go to place to stay in Taupo.for all trips .thank you twin peaks. It was for our anniversary and it didn't disappoint.

The stairs but worth carrying all the bag's up for that view and beautiful room .

We were upgraded to a better room but it was on the first floor with stair access only and as I am Disabled it was a Pointless upgrade but that was Booking.com not the Motel- the room I had was spacious and had a good shower room - the beds had electric blankets and the heating was excellent so although it was bitterly cold the room was cosy.

The parking spaces outside the rooms were small and when we got back after going out to dinner our space had been taken by a tourist in a rental car-
