We loved our stay at Maison Cabral, Alberto and Susana were amazing hosts and couldn't do enough for you. Upon arriving Alberto gave us so many recommendations for things to do, eat and visit. The room was perfect for me and my partner for our 5 day stay. During our stay Susana and Alberto were always available during the reception hours to ask if everything was okay and help out with any questions about the city or place we may have had. Very much looking forward to staying again in the future.

The only small thing is to keep in mind that the pool doesn't get sun until the afternoon, which we didn't mind. It meant we could explore the city in the morning and then come back for a lazy post-lunch bathe around the pool.

This place offers just the next level of hospitality! I've travelled a lot, but never ever met such friendly staff as here! You can ask them anything, they will give you the city map and provide you with the best restaurant recommendations (and there are several really good ones next to this maison both for breakfast and dinner) or will help you to book tours around Porto. My greatest appreciation to this amazing team! Really made my trip unforgettable and made me think, if I ever visit Porto again, that there would be no better place to stay. The house itself is stylish and beautiful. It is conveniently located in a nice, quite, residential part of the city, very close to Lapa metro station. The walking distance to the city center is quite manageable. There are two Pingo Doce supermarkets nearby, but if you don't have the time to go there and suddenly crave a snack/drink in the middle of the night - don't worry, the maison offers a variety of small bites in the common kitchen area as well as a selection of vines; just pay at the check out! I found this super useful instead of a standard minibar that typical hotels offer. There is also a microwave in this kitchen area, in case you might need it. You can also find there beach towels that you can use in the pool area. The room is exceptionally clean and has everything that is needed for a nice stay, including top quality bed sheets, Nespresso machine, cooking stuff, bathroom amenities, good AC, etc. And bonus - there are two cute cats in the maison that you can meet in the common/pool area. However, if you are allergic, just let the staff know and they will make sure you are not disturbed by them. Customer care is really at the highest possible level!

The only downside is the renovation works in the neighboring building that sometimes can disturb the peace and quiet in the pool area, but in the rooms you can't hear it. Of course, it is not the hotel's fault and eventually the works will be over, so don't let this fact prevent you from booking your stay. In the evenings and at night everything is very quiet, I've never slept better than here!

I can't speak more highly of this hotel. For the first time in my life I was greeted by the owner on the street as our cab delivered us to the hotel. Talk about first impressions! The staff are what make this hotel. Alberto and Susanna have gone out of their way to suggest things to do and see, along with recommending and booking various restaurants and activities. I know how much time this takes up and they do it with absolute pleasure and good grace. The pool is beautiful, as is the decor. Comfy beds and pillows! A great walk to the heart of Porto, clean....I can't fault it.

Our stay at Maison Cabral exceeded all our expectations – making it a very special stay and a place we would recommend to everyone. Maison Cabral is beautiful inside and out, with lovely decor, spacious rooms that are clean and well presented, outside you are treated to a beautiful garden which also has a lovely pool to use after a busy day walking the streets of Porto. Maison Cabral is perfectly situated, which allowed us to walk around Porto with ease. A big shout out to Susana, Alberto and Luchino for making us feel so welcome, and going above and beyond to help us have a brilliant stay, from letting us kindly check in early, Alberto with his fabulous knowledge and recommendations of Porto and Suzana making sure I could get extra cuddles with the beautiful Luchino! We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to Susana, Alberto, and Luchino for making our stay so memorable. We would highly recommend Maison Cabral to anyone looking for a comfortable, friendly and convenient place to stay in Porto. We look forward to returning in the future!

This is the second time I have stayed at Maison Cabral. The first time with girlfriends and the second time with my husband. Without doubt this small, intimate hotel is perfect in every way. It's great being out of the hustle of downtown Porto yet within walking distance. It has a much needed pool when it's hot. The bedrooms are wonderfully decorated. It's quiet. AND the staff - they become like your family. Such wonderful people who will do anything to help you with anything you need. The owner Alberto and Susanna are incredibly kind and special.

Do not hesitate to book Maison Cabral! The perfect location for starting your walks around Porto, and our apartment (Wapa, the one with the loft) was beautifully appointed and very comfortable. Susana communicated with us before the trip and through our flight delays. She was consistently warm and welcoming upon arrival and throughout our stay, plus always made sure we had local recommendations on places to dine. The honor bar was well-stocked and very nice to have available to us. The apartment was cleaned and made up each day while we were out. Our apartment overlooked the street below, so if you are sensitive to noise you might want to consider that but we took a sound machine and it was no issue. Also, there is a house cat, Luchino, who would be in the reception area when we get back each day and our daughter loved, so if you are allergic then you might choose another location. Overall, we would stay here again and it made our first trip to Porto very special.

It‘s an old house wich got renevated amazing! The hall and the rooms look stunning. The comfort of the bathroom and the bed is great. Everything is made with so much love and is super clean. It‘s located near the main streat with a lot of shops and restaurant. You can walk easily to the centre of town. It has a little self service bar where you can get amazing port wine and make youreself a good night drink. The personal is so lovely! They help you with everything you need and make you feel like home. Would recommend this hotel too 100%!

Excellent accommodation! The room was gorgeous and everything was so clean. The pool was exactly as described, a lovely area to chill. The honesty bar was also a really nice touch. We really enjoyed having the balcony too. The staff were all so helpful with anything we needed and offered great recommendations for food and activities. Only a few minutes from a great selection of restaurants and also close to many tourist attractions. Really good value for money, looking forward to our next visit!

Location, pool, balcony, service. 10/10 for this small hotel. Located slightly out from the centre but close to metro. Fantastic local restaurants, cafes & bars. Lovely small pool which was still warm at 6pm to use after a day walking the streets, small bar at hotel where u wrote down what u took and paid on departure. Wonderful, caring hosts Alberto & Susana, who are a wealth of information & tips about where to go and not to go. They could not do more for their guests! A fabulous 3 nights!

Maison Cabral ("MC") is beautifully appointed and well equipped. MC is within easy walking distance of all of the places of interest Porto has to offer. Everyone was particularly helpful at MC, and they even helped us resolve a car hire problem encountered on arrival at Porto airport. Despite that, we managed fine without our car during our stay. MC is located only a 5 minutes walk from Lapa, Metro stop on the VIOLET line. Trains run regularly from the airport via Lapa on this line. We hope to stay again sometime.
