Someone in the vicinity of my room was smoking weed, which was unpleasant when opening room door. However, this is not a reflection on the room, hotel, or owners. This is a reflection on whoever is abusing building rules.

It was very central, but still pretty quiet. I found the room to be very modern, cosy, well-equipped and comfortable. The bed was also very nice, though a single rather than a double. Because it was very central, the amenities were close and plentiful. It was very handy fort the Marathon, which started from the Market Place, just a couple of minutes up the road. The service was very friendly and the staff were very helpful.

The pictures gave the impression that the rooms were much more spacious. I didn't mind it. I found the room to be very comfortable and cosy, but I also don't like false advertising. The hotel was very quiet, but when one of the main entrance doors slam shut the whole building shakes.

The staff at the weekend were very friendly, the continental breakfast provision was really good with lots of choice, and the room and communal areas were very clean and tidy. Great location as right in the centre. Large TV in the room, comfy king bed, and good sized bathroom. Would definitely stay again if in the area.

The only issues were that the room (8) backed onto an extractor which ran until early hours, and the room was warm. Not a problem for me as I sleep with industrial ear plugs, but my partner struggled with the noise and heat. However I imagine this would only apply to certain rooms.

Venue was lovely, room was absolutely stunning! No complaints at all, clean and tidy and so modern. WiFi was brilliant too unlike some hotels.

We paid for a room with patio area with the idea to sit outside and enjoy the warm weather and relax.. however unfortunately couldn't do so as a neighbouring business had a extremely loud extraction fan attached to their building which meant sitting outside was a complete no go. Opening the window/door was also a no go due to how loud it was which was a shame :(

Great location as I was visiting my son who lives in the Spaulding area from my home in Cyprus .lovely staff friendly and helpful especially Inga and her lovely friend .

Very warm but a fan was provided .Noisy seagulls but this can’t be helped . Couldn’t really fault the property , exceptionally clean and the continental breakfast was fully stocked .i stayed in a deluxe single room 9 overlooking the road but quiet on the second floor stayed for four nights .

This hotel is a proper little hidden gem 💎 we had an emergency stay in Boston due to family member in the hospital when we got there it doesn't look much on the outside but I tell you what inside is lovely very clean very quiet the room we had is very modern I'm assuming all rooms are very much the same but honestly really really lovely I would definitely stay again better than some 4 star hotels I've stayed in xx

The hotel was lovely and modern, the rooms were clean and for the price it was amazing value. Staff were also very polite and welcoming and the breakfast counter was lovely considering it was free! We had a lovely stay☺️

There is nothing bad to say about the hotel itself but the location was definitely a huge let down. Every shop and restaurant in the town was closed the day we arrived due to a dispersal order from the police, this obviously made a huge impact on our stay but was no fault to the hotels! There is however no parking and the car park near the hotel had people drinking in it and I really didn’t feel comfortable leaving my car in there. The guest entrance to the hotel is also down a dingy side road and there were often groups of men drinking at the entrance and felt uncomfortable walking through these with my son at times. But once inside no problems and unfortunately the hotel can’t do much about the environment around it!

Lovely room with good shower . Balcony was a nice touch although not the views or weather for it. Nice communal areas/staircases can see it has been renovated .

Not well sign posted and very easy to walk past even locals we asked didn't know where it was or that it existed. No reception staff had to call to find out if we could enter our rooms ...which we could through the back door (out of hours entrance).

We were contacted by the hotel asking what time we would arrive. As we were running late, we were given out of hours check-in details. Everything was explained really well, and we found our room with no issues. The room was spotless and perfectly presented. The room includes modern touches such as mood lighting (which I loved) and a large television. The bed was a good size and very comfortable.

The floors were very creaky, which I guess is down to it being an old building. The bathroom door was stiff. The windows are single glazed, so there is a lot of nightlife noise coming from outside. However, this is easily sorted with earplugs!

Perfectely located for my needs. Staff are incredibly lovely, engaging and welcoming. Smooth check-in. Communal areas downstors for the self service continental breakfast are modern, fresh and clean. Rooms are spacious, well thought and clean. Perfectly quiet too, was not disturbed once by outside noises, or from other guests, which is amazing. Great shower, comfortable bed. Half the price of where I have more often stayed, but The Stanley has proved far better.. I am going home feeling well rested, and already looking at dates for my next stay.
