The location overlooked the port which meant we had a great view. It was handy to all the local tavernas as well as a local bakery and supermarket which allowed us to buy the local food and then cook it in our self contained studio. Breakfast was included and we enjoyed being able to sit in the outdoor breakfast area. There was a good selection to choose from.

It was very windy and having an umbrella up on the balcony was not always possible. Maybe having a permanent covered section on the balcony could be an option.

The location was perfect. Right on the port so could access everything from the bus, the ferries, the restaurants bars and the beach. The panoramic view room had 2 balconies, one overlooking the port and one a fabulous secluded beach. It had 2 beaches depending which one you preferred. Breakfast was lovely on the hotel terraces. George, the host was exceptional. Very friendly, knowledgable and helpful. He arranged for me to be picked up from the ferry and dropped off when I left. A wonderful stay and would definately stay there again if I go to Falegandros.

Our experience at this hotel was good. The hotel manager was especially helpful and informative. The room was small, but clean and had all we needed for our one-night stay. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom, shower was nice, but a tad tight. The breakfast was very good with a variety of food options to select from. The hotel is also in a good location, right at the port. There were a few restaurants and markets close by, but the more interesting choice of restaurants were in a neighboring town of Chora about 3½ miles away. I recommend renting a car, motorcycle, or a “moto” (4-wheeler) as we did. It will be needed to see more. Try Spiro’s place close to the hotel. He was fair with his pricing. I recommend this hotel, if you are seeking a fair price and not seeking a 4 or 5-star accommodation.

Bathroom a tad tight. Not every room has a balcony or full sea view

Everything was perfect, short walk from the port so if you dont carry much luggage, its just a quick walk. It has a beautiful view and cute cats that come and visit our balcony. The breakfast was very good and basic with classic greek foods (yoghurts, coffee, and breads, cereal, fruits, eggs). The receptionist is extremely helpful if you need anything, and very kind and patient. They clean up and give new fresh towels every day which we appreciated greatly. It felt like luxury! Will be staying here again if i go back to folegandros!

Im was amazing! It was even better than we expected. Giorgos on the reception will meet you with a friendly smile and will give you all the necessary information about everything (totally involved in tourists situations and questions). Breakfast is various and tasty. The room with amazing view where you can find all you need for comfortable stay. Thanks a lot for everyone in this hotel for our brilliant vacation. Our room had an excellent view in both directions. It was very conveniently located by the port, and makes a for a good base to explore the beaches on that end of the island. Breakfast was very good, and the owner/manager was very friendly- he upgraded our room so we would have the best views and gave us an orientation to the island. We were only here one night, and wish we had been able to stay longer.

This is not the fault of the hotel, but be aware that some online maps may pin the location incorrectly. When you are walking off of the pier into town, look up and to the right and you will see the hotel.

Vardia Bay Studios is located really close to the port and between 2 great beaches. The rooms look amazing and are clean and tidy with great views. The host and staff are all professional, always smiling and really helpful. The breakfast that was included in the price was really tasty and filling. All in all, Vardia Bay Studios is the place to stay, when you are visiting Folegandros.

Nothing at all, everything was perfect

Overall a nice facility and location.

Received severe 2nd degree burn on chest while taking shower. Bumped shower valve with eyes closed and got hit by a torrent of scalding water from overhead fixed shower system. Hot water temperature is set waaaay to high and shower is hard to get out of quickly making for an extremely dangerous situation. Manager had no clue how to adjust hot water unit temperature. We checked another sink and it was also scalding hot. Facility should be shut down in my engineers opinion to prevent further injury until corrected. Shower design makes it very easy to turn knob wrong and get scalded.

Room was spacious, modern and comfortable. Had a great bathroom and kitchenette, the balcony was also very nice with an amazing view. Breakfast was great much more of a range than many other places. Bus station close to transfer to the chora. Port and bus station steps away from the accommodation. Staff were super friendly, cleaners were very efficient and the room was spotless every day with clean sheets towels and toiletries every day. Beautiful beaches walking distance. Would highly recommend.

Good location (100m from ferry port and within a stonethrow of two nice beaches), good breakfast, good viewpoint to eat the breakfast. Nice clean room. Good wifi. The host, Giorgio, was really helpful and friendly, giving us good advice upon check-in, and borrowing us a parasol for the beach. All in all, a highly recommended place, and with a good price.

Nothing really. Some mosquitoes in the room, but we cannot blame that on Vardia Bay Studios. After implementing a better door-closing routine and killing all mosquitoes in the room before sleeping, it wasn't really a problem anymore.
