We enjoyed our stay at the Grand Hotel. We enjoyed the swimming pool (quite cold even in summer), the breakfast and the very comfortable beds. We ordered dinner, which is either pizza or sandwiches. The two pizzas we ordered were absolutely delicious. We wanted to be out of town and so the location away from Saiq town was perfect for us. It was a long weekend when we were there so Saiq was very busy - rather chaotic and somewhat dirty. We found some quiet tracks to walk along near the hotel. The staff are very pleasant and helpful. Excellent value for your money!

The AC in our bedroom did not work well and we had to open all the windows to cool the room. The problem seemed to be with the remote control. The carpet in the room needed vacuuming (quite a few crumbs from previous occupants). Some of the less obvious corners of the hotel need attention (cleaning or repairing).

We had a lovely stay at Jabal Al Akhdar Grand Hotel. We had such a warm welcome with a welcome drink and warm face towel. Special thanks to Ms Fatima & Mahi.We had a dinner in hotel restaurant, they kindly took our order in advanced so we can chill in our room, once the food is ready they called us to come down when the food is almost ready. The food was excellent, even the breakfast was excellent. Over all the staff was very friendly and helpful.

I decided last minute to book this hotel. Room was good and clean. Staff is courteous. The reception lady Ms. Fatima was quite helpful during coordination and guided me well until I reached the hotel. The GM Mr. Veeru himself arranged to pick me up given the hotel is accessible only by 4 wheel drive and not sedan. He was also helpful in dropping me early morning at 5.15am next day so that I could attend my race. Thanks much for all your assistance. And this place is highly recommended

The place is very good and peaceful, especially for families. The breakfast was ample and filling as well. Overall good value for money. Recommended for anyone looking for cheap stay with good facilities

The hotel is very well managed! Viru (the manager) was so kind and accommodating! All the staff, are just the kindest people. Breakfast was delicious and they made it when we were ready to have it (if you want it earlier than 8:30 request the night before). The room is clean and tidy, and so spacious. It had plenty of space to hang clothes, lay out your suitcases and even eat comfortable. The view from the room was beautiful! The mountains are lovely and the swimming p pool is aesthetically pleasing. What excellent value for money! My babies loved the small play area and the little bed. There are wonderfully stunning viewpoints just up the gravel road from the hotel, if you're ready for a small adventure. We'd definitely stay here again. It is the first place that comes up when you're making your way up the mountain, but it is a little far from parks, grocery stores and restaurants (although it has a really nice restaurant and cafe).

I would have liked a floor towel to keep feet dry and warm, but that really wasn't very important.

We had dinner in the hotel restaurant, they kindly took our order in advance so we could chill in our room and called us to come down when the food as almost ready. We had some of the Indian dishes and they were very delicious and great value. We booked a room rate that included breakfast. We could choose from 4 different breakfast styles e.g.arabic, continental etc, we chose American and it was so good. We got such a variety of food cooked for us which felt really generous given we were just two people, and it was all fresh and delicious

I booked for one night-Thursday the 15th & when I was going to extend, I was told I cannot have the same price I paid for the previous day..! I was told that this is a marketing thing & I cannot avail the same price the next & the justification was that it was the weekend price..!!! So I left nearly heart broken that I couldn't stay for another night with the same price For God sake, I was already there enjoying my stay & had to leave I am sure they could have done something to keep me as a reoccurring customer.& always coming back.!

I had a perfect stay with all the dedication from the staff, small nice gestures in the room, very good food at the restaurant. I can only recommend the stay especially of like me you travel from Ubar during the day and need a place to have a good rest. The management of the hotel changed 5 months ago so older comments are not all accurate. You need a 4WD car like everywhere in Jebel Akhdhar, you receive a message after booking with a reminder, information brochures are available in the room, etc.

Absolutely AWESOME! The staff is incredible, always trying to improve your stay : Quick WhatsApp answers (thanks to Fathma), welcome drink, dinner very good and served when YOU require it (thanks to the chef). It's really the best staff I've ever seen in an Omani hotel, they're all perfect! As the road to the hotel is 4WD only, they came to get me at the bottom of the road and even rent me their car to go to the Jabal Stairway Trail !! Finally there's a (very good) thai massage room inside the hotel. What else can we ask ?

the staff Ms Fathima and Mr Pradeep and two other helping staff (Indian/Bangladesh) sorry forgot names were was excellent on their hospitality. Don’t waste your money on expensive hotels — This is the best, We as a family thank them for their assistance. The stay was very good and clean and the food was awesome. This is the best stay in the budget and we liked everything.
