Dimitra Beach Resort has several positives: the arrival experience is smooth, with a welcome drink and efficient check-in, plus a golf cart service for luggage. The resort's grounds are beautifully maintained, with lush green spaces and a peaceful atmosphere. The rooms are spacious, clean, and comfortable, with daily restocked minibars and good air conditioning. The beach area is clean, with available showers, and drinks can be brought to you from the bar. The resort features three pools, each with a bar, offering convenience and variety. The evening entertainment is varied, with some standout performances that enhance the overall experience.

Several areas fall short of expectations for a 5-star rating. The quality of food and drinks is inconsistent, with very repetitive options and subpar offerings at the à la carte restaurant La Cucina. Service at the bars and restaurants can be slow, and some staff appear disinterested, often engaging in conversations with each other while guests wait to be served. The bathrooms in the rooms need renovation, with low water pressure, unpleasant odors, and poor design. There is a daily struggle for sunbeds around the pools due to high demand and limited availability. Overall, the resort lacks the refined service, attentive staff, quality, and amenities expected from a top-tier property.

Very nice hotel with well kept grounds. Friendly and helpful staff. Good variety of food at the buffet which had a different theme each night, as well as entertainment from 21:00. Hotel is in a quiet location, close enough to the town by short taxi (avg €20) or bus. Serene view of Turkey with cool water and plenty of sunbeds! Niko (bar staff serving drinks to the beach area) deserves a special mention… a very hard worker, always smiling, and gave great tips! We also loved the invitation of an extra a la carte meal which was candle lit by ourselves, plus a little hamper of Greek treats to take home! These little touches made the holiday even more memorable. Thank you!

The outside veranda bar (where the entertainment is) usually didn’t have enough seating, could have been more efficient with space, plus a little understaffed with the table service which could be slow (unless you waved). Would recommend the beachfront bungalow, as we had our own space and no need to wait for a spot by the pool at 09:00 as others did.

Problems with the toilet during our stay even after fixing it We had a reservation for one of the restaurants (Cucina) and due to our mistake arrived 30 min early, although there were only three tables taken and all others free, we were asked to leave and come back after 30 min, which was not communication in very friendly/ professional manner Sometimes the main restaurant felt hectic

We stayed at family suite with two bedrooms. It was very clean, spacey, comfortable, separate bathrooms, beautiful view at the sea. We really enjoyed it! The whole hotel is very nice, clean, lot's of greenery (and cats). The stuff was very pleasant.

Actually, we don't have any complaints. They really try hard to do everything run smoothly. The beach was not sand, but black gravel mixed with sand, but that's not something hotel could do better because it is the natural location as it is.

Staff are fantastic and always eager to help you and please you, that is the most important thing to me. It has very nice sea view everywhere in the hotel.

There seems limited option for kids :( Just one small playground The location is a bit far from Kos town and you have to travel by taxi, which is 17 Euro one way. It is not big issue to me, but if you travel frequently between Kos town and hotel, eg for activities in Kos harbour, you have to take into the consideration of the cost of taxi

Pebble beach adjacent to hotel, good availability of sunbeds. Rooms kept clean and well made up daily, which we aprreciated. Food selection is reasonable and of a reasonable quality. Huge variety of veg, non-veg food and deserts. Very friendly staff always ready to support and solve any of our requests.

Whole area is in relatively hilly and uneven terrain. As a family with small kid, we find very important for you to improve accesibility to each of your facility. Too many stairs all around the place can make life quite complicated also for wheelchaired / disabled hosts.

the spa is in the sister hotel next door and with my back disability I couldn’t walk the 10 minutes so I missed out there and was not told that when booking

The property is located at the far end of island Kos , it’s peaceful ( bare in mind we stayed there end of the season in Oct ) our suite was spacious and cleaned daily by wonderful housekeeping staff. Everyone was above and beyond friendly and nice to our family. Staff at the restaurants lead by George was incredibly welcoming and couldn’t ha be ask for bettter service, restaurants offered good variety of food- always nice and fresh. All facilities were kept pristine! Really loved the stay . Couldn’t be happier with the choice.

Nothing that we didn’t like. Maybe ramps for pram/wheelchair could be a nice thing to do in the future.

One of the hotels with the best views we have ever been to. The hotel is very clean. It has lots of different outdoor areas, all beautiful, so it doesn’t feel crowded. The sun loungers are super comfy too. The rooms are practical and beautifully decorated, great shower! The food was great, lots to choose from and it was constantly replenished. The beach is just a few steps down and although I’m not usually a fan is pebble beaches, the calm sea and clear water won me over. Perfect for a swim or to relax on the sun beds provided. The staff were friendly and courteous. I am terrible with names, but I’d like to thank the reception staff, the restaurant manager and waiters, the lovely cleaning lady who took care of our room (823), who always greeted us with a smile and did a fantastic job, and to Alexandra and Ana María from the kids club, who looked after our children and were so loving and patient with them (they say they miss you!). Finally, thank you to the hotel for all those extra details that made a big difference: the complimentary beach bag and flip flops (so handy!), the sweets left on the kids’ bed every evening, the free massage and the Greek farewell treats we were given on our last day. Thanks for an amazing holiday!

There was quite a long walk (ascend!) between the children area and the block where our room was located, which paradoxically seems to be where the family rooms are. The walls in our room were quite thin, we could hear everything that was being said and done next door. My in laws arrived a few days later and their rooms were closer to the pool area and did not have any issues with noise, so I wonder if it is a problem specific to the block where we were. There were not a lot of activities for the adults and the night entertainment was mainly live music. None of the pools were heated, so water a bit cold for this time of the year (late October). The negatives were amply compensated by the positives though, and we would not hesitate to return to this resort.
