Excellent breakfast (good quality ingredients). Old fashioned hotel with a walk back in time public bar full of local characters (other less exciting but just as comfortable seating areas available). Roaring fire. Gorgeous old collie dog Winston regally in residence and newcomers made welcome. StoneHouse pub down the road very good value and quality food but very unpretentious. (Was so good that I just kept going back there for evening meals) Happy staff willing to help. Lovely welcome. Right on top of the square looking at The Spirit in the Sky Red Kite statue which is stunning. Handy corner shop and church museum. Small town where everyone knows one another.

Bedroom comfortable but a bit tired. Shower area cosy. Not for those who want a sanitised corporate experience. This is a small town with real people propping up the bar.

We stayed in the Neuadd Arms for the Man Versus Horse Marathon and it was exactly what we were looking for. A no fuss hotel with excellent food and a great bar. None of your fancy 5 star stuff here. It is full of character and charm. The breakfeast was top class. Started with a bowl of fresh fruit, tea or coffee, a good old fashioned bowl of poridge with honey followed by a decent fry up. There was a great choice on offer. Served promptly with a smile. A great start to the day or cure the following morning!

Nothing. We really liked the place and the staff were outstanding.

Staff were great, the beer was really excellent & brewed by them. Nice atmosphere in the bars. Breakfast and evening meal more than acceptable. Very understanding when my bike broke down and I had to delay the stay for one day. Feels like there's some history to the place....Bog Snorkling, Man v Horse and Screaming Lord Sutch all have connections....worth a visit. Great price.

Nothing really.....I'd read the reviews and for a bloke arriving on a motorbike in the rain I couldn't care less if the furniture isn't modern....tbh I quite liked it.

Excellent location in the middle of the pretty town in a stunning area. We were there to watch the Man vs Horse run and were able to see it set off right outside our window. Quirky, cosy bar and lounge area, plenty of space to enjoy a drink. Staff incredibly friendly and helpful considering how busy they were. Breakfast was wonderful - efficient and delicious, again despite being super busy. We didn't eat dinner there so can't comment, it did smell good though! This is a really charming, welcoming, relaxed place to stay - it is dated and tired in places so don't go expecting sleek and glossy, as you wont get it! However, you will get a warm welcome, clean rooms and a wonderful breakfast.

We had a bit of an issue with the hot water in our shower but they did their best to resolve the issue and it didn't really impact on our enjoyment of the hotel.

The location is excellent for walking, cycling or touring. The property was exactly as described. It’s an old slightly “quirky” building with character. The hosts were very helpful and really friendly, nothing was too much trouble. The staff were the same and there are multiple languages spoken. The food was very good. The evening meals had specials and were very well prepared using fresh local produce wherever possible. We included breakfast in our booking, which was very generous and tasty. We were two motorbike riders and parked at the front of the hotel and felt our bikes were safe. The riding in the area is fantastic with an incredible selection of types of roads. I had a small single, which was all I needed. Everything I needed was there. It was very good value for money. Would I stay there again or recommend this to friends. Yes! if you need access to WiFi, it’s available throughout the hotel, not only in the public areas. Plenty of local beers on tap and a wide selection of other drinks. It’s the world HQ of the “Monster Raving Looney Party”, with some memorabilia, which adds to the quirkiness. If you want to go “Bogsnorkelling”, (quite a niche activity), it looks like this is the place for you.

Don’t expect a “four seasons”, or a jelly mould hotel like a Premiere Inn and you won’t be disappointed. OK, the floor boards creek, there aren’t movies on demand, but if that’s what you want, then mid-wales probably is the wrong place to go.

It's a very special place, I would define it fascinating. it really looks like entering in a movie... The structure is old but solid, to me it looks like the hotel is alive. All the floors and walls are crooked and the furniture is dated, but it's cleaned and you'll find everything you need inside you room and the hotel. Also, just outside it, as the hotel is in the center of the town, you have a little supermarket, a cash machine and a petrol station, very convenient. The day after outside my window I had the entire rainbow saying good morning. Don't expect anything new or modern, it's a little peace of history, more, Welsh history. And this little town has its own incredible interesting history itself. Just ask the lovely owner and she will send you to talk and discover it through the words old the old lady who lived there. I recommend it. it was a lovely surprise!

The location, breakfast and staff were great. Very good value for money and the perfect location for my work in town. I was working late and the hotel called to check I was still coming and let me check in late. I would definitely stay there again.

My only feedback would be to bring the temperature of the radiators down. Even though it was winter the small room was roasting when I arrived and it took me an hour to cool the room down before bed. A minor thing that I could remedy.

Excellent traditional hotel, with comfortable beds, very helpful staff, decent food and a good location in the centre of Llanwrtyd Wells. Great value for money too. Obviously serves its local community as well as passing travellers and holidaymakers, as all good hotels should. I'll return.

Not a hotel for anyone with really serious mobility issues, but manageable for me with moderate ones - and very helpful staff at all times. But could have done with a grab handle or two in the shower!

Always a friendly place to stay over with good food and beer available.

Book 4 rooms for single occupancy, but I had to pay full price for use of double room, the twin room was charged at single occupancy, Probably book directly with hotel in future as they were not able to help on tne cost having book thru 3rd party and contracted to the price.

Warm welcome ,all the staff were very pleasant and the hotel has a warm and welcoming atmosphere . It’s a bit shambolic in a nice way with dogs wandering about and lots of different groups of people. Evening meal and breakfast was really good and excellent value, with prompt cheerful service

Don’t expect an early night as the rooms are above a busy pub but after closing time it’s quiet all night.
