Excellent, spacious room with comfortable large beds. The room includes a fairly large refrigerator with a freezer, a microwave, and a coffee machine. The bathroom is clean, with all necessary toiletries provided. We checked in late, and the self-check-in was very convenient. They informed us a day in advance on how to register, and on the day of check-in, they sent detailed instructions on where to go and what to do. We didn’t hear any noise from the neighbors at all.

The building is located above a road, so the constant traffic can be noisy. However, we still slept well since we were very tired.

This was not truly a "boutique hotel", but it is fully updated with a great bathroom and decor. We stayed in a unit with a fully separate second bedroom and balcony, that is unusual to find for travel with a grown grandchild. It is very clean and great WiFi and Keurig coffee.

It sits on a busy main road with potential for noise, but traffic at night was not noticeable. Offsetting this is the location that is 5 minutes from the BC Ferry, giving you a great transition if you are heading out the next day.

Clean comfortable room. Close to town. Good coffee.

Self check in was lacking. The email sent to me to open the hallway door did not include the actual code. I wasn’t the only one who had issues as when I was trying to get in, there was another group who just went through the same issue and let me in. I also had issues last time I stayed but there was staff at the sight that time. This time you had to call a number to discuss. FYI. The hot water is scalding hot, great if you know and enjoy but burning if you are not aware.

The staff were very pleasant and accommodating to my needs. I booked last minute and the office was scheduled to close by 11pm. However, after completing the online check, the staff were able to email my room code and number. The gentleman on the phone guided me through this whole process and was very patient with me. He even gave me his personal phone number just incase I were to run into any problems. Will definitely consider this spot again. The Spot, rather.

They had a barnstyle sliding door for the bathroom. Not bad but the lock/latch was broken. It seemed like a cheap renovation job but it sufficed. This is was the only bad thing I had to say: pretty minor issue..

The view from the room was the beautiful green leaves of the nearby forest, out the back window. I appreciated the existence of a fan/air conditioning unit, a small fridge, and a microwave. This allowed me to make tea in the morning and eat fresh strawberries in my room. I found the staff at the front desk to be friendly and lovely and very helpful. There was also a handy ice machine at the front desk.

I noticed that, although there was a remote control with Netflix, I could not make this work.

Having a microwave, fridge & Keurig coffee maker was just perfect as I like to make my own breakfast ! Renovated room and bathroom was really nice - I like the flooring : easy to keep hygenic & clean..... never did like carpets in hotel rooms ! Loved the online check-in ! No hassles at a front desk - especially appreciated as I arrived at 11 p.m. ! Also checking out was a non-issue ! Loved the coded-entry : again no hassles with keys. However - liked that Juan was at the front desk to ask for more coffee !

The only thing that would have been a bonus since the weather was wonderful - would have been a balcony... but not a deal-breaker. Since I was on business ... I really only slept in the room .

The man at the reception was really friendly, and the accomodation was really new. The bed and pillows were also really comfortable. The room was also quite good as we didn't hear noise from other rooms, as well as the traffic even though the location was by a highway. The air conditioner/fan system was a blessing in the hot day, and even though it's small it's enough to make the room really cold.

We had room service/cleaning once, but the things in the bathroom weren't refilled (makeup removing wipes, shower gel, conditioner, shampoo). I think the towel/bath mat wasn't changed as well, because when I opened it there was hair on it. There also wasn't any water or kettle in the room, which was a bit inconvenient as we had to go buy bottles of water. The hallway was also really hot and stuffy (the room was as well when we went in).

The unit with spotless, new, well laid out. It was very secure with the codes for a front door and hotel room door. The shower was to die for. This hotel by far exceeded my expectations based on the inexpensive price. The reception staff was very pleasant.

I was disappointed there was no bathtub, but on the other hand, the shower was pretty amazing.

Great value. Cool decor. Someone earlier reviewed that the showers are well done - I agree. Bed was very comfortable.

If you’re a light sleeper, the proximity to traffic could be disruptive. Room 207 needs: bathroom faucet tightened, replacement of screen door to deck, and some hooks in the bathroom for towels, etc.
