The staff were very helpful and friendly. Was made to feel at home. It's in a good location for town and parking. I was working but it would be a good place for staying over for holiday. Room had showers and toilet. Desk and plenty of space around the bed. There's a suitcase stand too. And a wardrobe. Plenty of plugs The location was great,I didn't hear a thing throughout the night. I slept really well and shower was lovely and hot. I would definitely use this hotel again whenever I'm working in the area

It wasn't a big thing but although there's side lights next to the bed you have to get up to turn the light off at the door. Obviously it's a minor thing and I only noticed that because I was shattered from work and sometimes fell asleep on top my bed with the light on to wake up and hour or so later.

It says in the title that I stayed 2 nights, well I stayed 3 nights instead I enjoyed it, lovely comfortable bed clean facilities, the staff was so very nice and friendly, I felt strange going on holiday by myself but the bar staff spoke to me and made me welcome, I had breakfast and a 3 course meal though the days i stayed, hat's off to the chef Johnny.

There was nothing to dislike about this hotel. The hotel is always warm and friendly and the staff go out of their way to accommodate everyone's needs. There is always something on the menu to like and I specifically enjoyed the lasagne this time round. A big shout out to Flo who always keeps the place clean and tidy. Its always a joy to see Ant entertaining us all on a Monday its a shame people dont take advantage of the entertainment downstairs as there are some great singers to be listened and a well stocked bar specifically when you have had too many shots playing your cards right!

No remote control for the tv for a couple of days

The staff we spoke to were really lovely and friendly. The room was nice and clean. Very spacious bar area. Entertainment in the bar area was a fantastic singer and entertainer. The lift was a godsend as I have a dodgy leg. We didn't eat here but the food smelt delicious. Would highly reccomend this hotel and we would stay again.

The shower. I put it on for 30mins and still didn't get warm. Maybe I had done it wrong, which wouldn't surprise me! We didn't say anything to the staff as we only stayed one night. Had I done, I feel that it would have been sorted quickly.

Entrance on arrival is welcoming. Got to reception lady was friendly (albeit busy as she was also helping in dining room). Signed in and then i went through the bar area and up 1 floor to my room. Room 15 was a double, it was warm and stayed warm during my 2 night stay (better than some in Blackpool which have been freezing). Bed was comfy, good duvet and pillows, slept well on both nights. Shower was hot and very nice 😊😊. Everything was nice and clean. No complaints from me at all..... I say this as i read some trip adviser reviews and to be honest ignore all of them.... Lovely hotel, friendly staff, nice rooms. All in all a nice place to stay!!

I stayed in room 5, a nice big room nice and warm, plenty of towels and plenty of space to hang my clothes up, easy check in, the lady on reception was very nice and helpful, I didn't manage to get her name, she was Scottish I think, she was very professional at her job and very helpful, I will definitely be back 10 out of 10

There was nothing to dislike

As someone that has stayed in Blackpool many times, I understand the resort. Most hotels are in need of modernisation and en-suite facilities are usually cramped. I found the Oak Lea pleasantly surprising. Yes it can be improved, but the owners clearly care about their hotel and their guests. It's location was perfect for my requirements. Each interaction with the staff was very friendly, without being overbearing. A blown light bulb was replaced within two hours of it being reported. The room was very clean and tidy, hot water was quick to arrive for a second floor room and more than sufficient for a shower. Room service was daily but unobtrusive. Bar facilities (with entertainment) were impressive for a hotel of this size. I did not have any food but the kitchen looked reasonably spacious. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and would recommend to anyone that doesn't have insane expectations. It is a good sign when you want to stay longer and I would not hesitate to consider a return visit.

I really struggled to think of anything to put here, until my case broke on the way back to the station and I missed my train!

Great facilities for the very cheap price, lounge with pool table, darts board, large TV where I could relax with teen boys in the evening. Downstairs bar with live music and welcoming staff. Comfortable clean beds and plentiful tea and coffee Easy walk to prom and tower Great value for money

Hotel was just round corner from the Tower, it was a warm, welcoming hotel. The room quite large and the beds were comfortable, we both had a good night's sleep. The breakfast, a continental and full English was excellent and plentiful, and the bar prices reasonable. The staff are helpful and very friendly and welcoming.

Parking is as expected limited, we arrived about 8pm on the Friday, we found a pay and display car park, a few streets away at £11 for 24 hrs. Adequate.

Perfect location for us. Was good enough to look after our bags before and after check in/out. Also suitable space to store my mobility scooter. Staff was welcoming. Room was comfy.

No breakfast option. Few bits if rust in the room. Problem with plug socket for the kettle which we did inform the staff over. Shower isn't tall person friendly. At 6ft 4 it came to my shoulder.
