Beautiful tranquil small boutique hotel. The room was huge (and the 2 master suites are loads bigger) and the bed was so comfortable. Loved all the common areas they are so nicely designed and furnished and comfortable, I spent a lovely afternoon curled up in a sofa watching the rain come down outside. We were really well looked after by Ashan who was happy to organise restaurants cars and advise on where to go and what to do. Great breakfast and pretty little pool! Also really close to the paradise road gallery cafe which is absolutely fantastic, highly recommend a visit!

Only one tiny negative and that is the ‘spa’ musack playing downstairs but I’m sure that’s all personal taste I guess!

Last stay (1 night) of our Sri Lanka trip and one of the highlights. We booked a double room but got a much appreciated upgrade. The Villa is an architecture gem, with curated design, rooms and garden. Top notch service and hospitality, with right level of attentiveness. Restaurant is also high level although a bit pricey, but worth it. Only missing coffee machine/kettle in the room, the rest of the amenities was great.

This place was phenomenal. A gem. It is located in the heart of the city, a 5 minute drive from all restaurants and shopping. The service was beyond expectation and our private Butler Angsana was available 24/7 to make the experience perfect. Every request was customized to our desire. The furniture, look and feel and greenery is luxurious. The food is terrific.

They don't serve alcohol but they will give you limes and glasses and ice to make your own! And the pool is underwhelming so don't expect to swim or lounge by the pool.

The breakfast was really tasty.. porridge was delicious, the eggs Benedict with a twist were also delish, huge fruit and pastry platter, great coffee. More than one could eat. Dining in the private dining room was very nice also. The tasteful architecture, interior design and perfectly manicured gardens make this place a design lovers delight. Great book selection. Ishq is a tranquil oasis in the middle of the bustle of Colombo. The staff just sort of appear when you need something.. very attentive without imposing. We will stay here again, it feels welcoming and homely rather than a hotel. Highly recommend!

Having to leave to fly back to the UK...

The architecture and space. (Every part shows the view Mr. Channa Daswatte would have imagined the place to be). The service is impeccable thanks to Asanga who took care of us. A special thankyou to Ms. Isabel as well.

That I stayed here only for 3 days! Could had stayed a bit longer easily and be lost in a reading a book, writing a book or a song.

Absolutely beautiful house and the best staff. Butler Asanga is simply the best - knowledgeable, friendly and so helpful with recommending things to do in Colombo. Walking distance to Bawa House is definitely a plus

A little too hidden / hard to find, when arriving for the first time, although understandable given it is a house located in this leafy upscale neighborhood.

Wifi, TV, Lighting would have been easier if properly explained. A little fridge would be appreciated, same as tea / coffea specially in a Master suite (however this might have been a deliberate choice).

Amazing place, small boutique hotel with only 4 rooms, luxurious and at the same time cozy, lots of art on the walls and the best cuisine we had in all of Sri Lanka. Special thank you goes out to Ashan, our host (every room has its own host!) who went above and beyond to make our stay even better.

Everything about our stay was impeccable, the room was top notch we were actually gutted that we were only staying for one night once we arrived. This place is a true oasis in the city and was truly lovely.

It’s exquisite..in the best location in Colombo. it has everything you need. It’s a hidden gem. There are 4 spacious rooms. A pool. A jazuzzi. Welcoming personell. Two of the rooms have a lovely living room. On one night we chose to have Dinner there and it was the best decision. Highly recommended.
