Spacious room,comfortable bed,very clean,bathroom was big and clean with good shower pressure.Additionally there was the lounge area with kitchen and basic appliances to use:) Location was ok,close to the center by tuk tuk,and few of nice cafes can be found in that area with short walk.Host Veronica and her boyfriend were absolutely amazing,staying in touch all the time and offering any help.They let us stay until evening when our night train was leaving.

Just not much day light getting into the room,but we could use lounge area which was a bonus

A good stay for people on a budget! Room had everything you needed and the host was super sweet and very helpful - also super responsive on whatsapp. Bathroom may need a little bit of an indepth clean there was a pungent smell coming from the drains but we have found that in lots of our stays around Asia.

Location may be tricky for some without their own transport, fortunately for us we had a tuktuk so it was perfect for us in that regard. Even when we chose to leave our tuktuk in the garage and just book a local tuktuk to go to a certain spot cause it was a busy time of day and parking can be difficult, they are cheap enough to get around.

We had a great stay at Palmyrah Residencies! The room was clean and tidy, equipped with everything we needed – AC, a wall fan, a kettle with tea and coffee, and even drinking water. The decor was lovely, and the overall presentation of the room made it feel very welcoming. The bathroom was spacious and spotless, which was a huge plus. We actually stayed here twice – once at the beginning of our holiday and again at the end. The location is super convenient, right next to Galle Road, which leads directly to the city center, all the attractions, and One Galle Face Mall. Overall, I highly recommend staying here. It's excellent value for money, and the staff were so lovely. Special thanks to Rumesh for making our stay enjoyable!

It has a great location close to many restaurants and amenities. There is a Dialog centre nearby for sim cards and an ATM next door. I was in a super deluxe room with en ensuite and it was very comfortable. The bed was huge and was very nice, we were very tired after a long flight and slept very well. The rooms and communal living spaces were big and clean. The breakfast was really delicious, string hoppers with daal, coconut sambol and egg curry + papaya and bananas :) The service was great, Rumesh in particular was very helpful. Would stay again!

Great Location, Comfortable Stay, and Outstanding Service at Palmyrah Residencies I recently stayed at Palmyrah Residencies and had a fantastic experience. The location is perfect—a short two-minute walk from Kollupitiya Beach and right by Marine Drive, which is great for relaxing walks and exploring the city. The room was clean, comfortable, and had all the essentials, including reliable Wi-Fi, air conditioning, and a handy kitchen for preparing meals. I particularly enjoyed the view from my private balcony, which offered a lovely glimpse of the beach and the lively Marine Drive. What really stood out during my stay was the exceptional hospitality from the owners, Arjuna and Veronika. They were incredibly friendly and went out of their way to ensure I had everything I needed. They also provided great tips on what to do and see in Colombo, making my trip even more enjoyable. For a clean, comfortable stay in a prime location with outstanding personal service, Palmyrah Residencies is a fantastic choice in Colombo!

Nothing it is good value for money.

The most important and best of this property was the warm and client friendly attitude. I had to book it last minute at night time, and everything was done to comfort my stay. Veronika, the manager never tired to assist you and consult! Property itself has an excellent location, almost on the first line before the ocean, you can see sunset and trains going on the edge of the ocean, it was one of the strongest impressions from my whole trip to SL. Property itself very clean, designed in minimalist manner, but with good taste and all necessary comfort, before leaving SL I booked it again and was very happy. I would fully recommend the stay in Palmyra.

Nothing bothered actually from the hotel itself. It was construction in opposite bldg only day time, but it was interesting again to take pictures of changing Colombo, and when you are back from day routine it’s fine and calm, only ocean waves.

Lovely view and comfortable beds.The host was lovely and has the cutest dog Spooky which made our trip even better! It’s a good walking distance to some nice restaurants and cafes and for the value of the money the rooms were pleasant enough.

The only problem really was we were on the top floor and on the first night there were civets climbing on the roof which kept my friend awake. This is if no fault of the host and they were very helpful by offering to change rooms and provided earbuds. This is only a warning for light sleepers that you may want to request a room not on the roof.

Veronika was absolutely amazing! Great recommendations for food and drink, she allowed us to chill on the rooftop with her cat and dog, called Spooky! She was never too pushy but was super helpful around check-in and check out! Nice location in Colombo. Room was functional and comfy. Shared livi and balcony area were great. A/C was great too, hot shower also! Really enjoyed our stay! Booked an extra night in the end :) recommend

Kitchen wasn’t that functional (no utensils). building work next door (can’t be helped but bare in mind if you are a light sleeper!)

Veronika was just amazing and very helpful. It took me a while to find the property, but the internal facilities and cleanness are above any expectations! Once you get inside, you feel yourself like at home! The location is convenient to get to Colombo central area, as well as a big shopping mall, local restaurants are a walking distance from the property. Definitely a good value for money!

The room featured a lovely shared terrace with a beautiful view. The bed was comfortable and had everything we needed. The host was incredibly helpful and super friendly. She provided us with tips and even managed to arrange a taxi to the airport for us at night.

It's a bit far from the centre, and there aren't many amenities nearby; however, it's easy to find a taxi or tuk-tuk, and we manage to locate a few nearby spots for dinner.
