Sheila and Steve, owners of Somerville House, were tremendously hospitable hosts - nothing was too much bother, even fetching us plates for our takeout dinner one night. The B&B is a short walk from Hereford train station and not far from the town centre, so it's easy to get around even without a vehicle. The stellar (included) breakfast is served to order, hot and made with local produce. The accommodation was spacious, comfortable, with beautiful views of the town and cathedral, and spotlessly clean. A fantastic value for your stay in Hereford - even the minifridge, stocked with local treats and drinks, was remarkably reasonably priced!

Lovely welcome from Sheila and Steve in a beautiful building. I chose a King bedroom for a night, as I'm over 6 feet tall, I wanted a larger bed and it was huge and very comfy! Lots of lovely homely touches around the room and in the house itself. All very nicely decorated and everything you could want. The area is also quite quiet and it is also peaceful inside. My room was on the top floor which had a lovely view back towards the city centre. The stairs are no problem at all. It is a 15 minute walk into the city centre and the shopping area, which is quite straightforward. Lovely breakfast the following morning as well. Honestly, nothing is too much trouble and it was a really lovely stay and I would happily have stayed longer. Thank you both, I will definitely book again.

2nd time of staying here within a month and have now seen 3 of the bedrooms, all of which were great. Love everything about Somerville House, including the beautiful views and accessible location; in easy walking proximity to the railway station and town centre. Thoroughly recommend. Sheila, Steve and staff are warm and welcoming as is the accommodation and as for the breakfasts what can I say: wide choice of quality local produce, beautifully cooked and presented with a smile. Great coffee to boot. Thank you.

We were really impressed with this B&B & would recommend to anyone looking to stay in this area. We were given a warm welcome by hosts Sheila & Steve with everything clearly explained. The refreshments in our well equipped & relaxing room were really appreciated after a long drive down & the honesty mini bar was a lovely addition, which allowed us to relax in comfort while watching t.v. The bathroom was huge & lovely walk in shower was welcomed after a superb night's sleep in large comfortable bed. The breakfast we had could not be faulted with the range of options available was better than many hotels.The hot food well cooked & presented & full of flavour with only the best quality food being used. This couple have obviously worked hard but have really found their vocation in how they look after their guests & we would not hesitate to return if we are in the area again Thank you both for a really enjoyable stay Simon & Kim Betts

We thoroughly enjoyed our short stay in this beautiful b and b. We received a very warm welcome and the room was spotlessly clean and spacious. The breakfast was delicious and it was lovely to have the choice of a very good range of food, including the cooked option. The location was ideal for visiting Hereford and the surrounding area.

The only negative thing was that we'd booked 3 nights, but were only able to stay for 2 in the end, due to circumstances beyond our control and were unable to transfer the 3rd night, which we'd paid for in advance, to a later date.

Located in a quiet area around 15 minutes walk to the centre. Car parking available on site. WiFi worked well and the breakfast was very good. Nice staff and I was able to check a little bit early. Room was small but had everything I needed.

The room was very small and there was limited space. A little expensive too but OK for a night. Overall, I would be happy to stay again.

In my bedroom everything had been carefully thought about, from coat hook on the back of the door to bathroom equipment and extras. The room had a really welcoming feel to it. Comfortable bed, plenty of tea and coffee, and fresh milk available. The hosts were most welcoming and accommodating, both when I collected my key earlier in the day as I was going to be late in after a concert, and the following morning.

The property is about a 10 minute walk from the city centre and easy to find . It is well furnished and the hosts obviously take great pride in the building , They also go out of their way to make their guests feel welcome and have plenty of tourist information including maps available to those who are new to Hereford. The breakfast offered was first class.

The whole aura and ambience. The staff were friendly, cheerful and helpful. The room was comfortable, with a lovely view from the window. All the furniture was very well maintained. The bed was amazingly comfortable.. The bathroom was all that could be expected. Superb, all round.

The room was lovely. We felt it lacked only one thing - a small occasional table between the two armchairs, for coffee cup or wine glasses.

Great location with parking. Just a short 10-15 minute walk into the city centre. Our room was clean and comfortable and had everything we needed. Our hosts were friendly and helpful. Excellent breakfast. Overall, a great place to stay which we'll certainly return to when next visiting Hereford.
