The room was designed with a lot of love and really gave a cozy island vibe. We felt comfortable from the first second. The breakfast was great. The location super convenient, with enough parking. And the staff was very welcoming and helpful.

Minor detail, but we really didn’t like the ceiling fan. And that it only had one speed. Also be prepared for loud roosters throughout the night, but that is just part of being in Key West.

First and foremost, we were welcomed by the lovely Olga (receptionist) who was highly attentive and detail oriented. She made us feel like VIP guests! She showed us around the property and then to our room. Everything was pristine and serene. We felt right at home immediately! Amenities: Beautiful, serene, modern, clean. The hotel offers free sunscreen, water, snacks & drinks, happy hour, coolers, and beach towels! Everything you could possibly need or want, they've thought of. Breakfast: Different menu options each day and it's made to order for you once you take your seat in the lovely, lush garden. Ana and Anielka were on staff in the kitchen and were very kind and quick to make our food. The ingredients were fresh with lots of yummy fruit options! Location: 10-20 minute drive or walk to downtown. Super convenient access to Duval street. We left our car parked the day we checked in and didn't use it the entire time we were there.

Absolutely wonderful! Beautiful property! The breakfasts were delicious, plus snacks and wine for happy hour were a wonderful surprise. The pool was surprisingly large and had jets. We stayed in the bamboo room which had a private patio which was fabulous to relax and drink coffee on. I would highly recommend to anyone!

The bike rentals were more expensive than other rents nearby so we ended up going elsewhere for less. Also the parking is double parked so you might end up with someone blocking you in, in which you would have to move their car. Wasn’t a huge deal because most of the time we biked or walked to wherever we needed to go!

The location was a little far to walk to Old Town but we were able to find parking everywhere we went. The room we stayed in, Carribbean Queen was lovely, with a large soaking tub and wrap around porch on the second floor. The "pool" is a large hot tub in a lovely garden. The grounds are well kept and relaxing.

Breakfast is included. The french toast was delicious but I needed protein. The other monring there were eggs but I am picky about my eggs and I do not like them over cooked. Just my preference.

We wanted an old world Key West feel and we surely got it! Everything was perfect from the moment we arrived. The manager/staff were so courteous and helpful. Cleanliness and amenities were A+, breakfast was delicious and decor and vibe could not have been better. We stayed in the bamboo bungalow which I HIGHLY recommend for couples! The only negative thing was that we had to leave this wonderful B&B. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts!

The Mermaid and Alligator is a magical place. The home is warm but spacious and meticulously maintained. The staff is friendly and the breakfasts are superb. Everything is done with care, no detail is missed here. We stayed in one of the 3 rooms in the cottage and my parents were in the other. We shared a porch which was lovely. I love the cottage for the outdoor space. The home also has beautiful gardens--lush and tropical and well cared for. Loved that it was adult only--which contributed to a very chill vibe. This was our first stay--and we will be back!

This property is a beautiful cozy couples retreat. The pool area is nicely landscaped with all tropical plants and there is a nice outside sitting area for breakfast or relaxing. The rooms are clean and every employee we met was extremely friendly and hospitable. They had the best free breakfast of anywhere Ive ever stayed and the staff custom makes each meal and serves it to the guests. The price of the rooms I thought were inexpensive for the area and cheaper than other properties that aren’t as nice. I would definitely go back.

The location was just perfect, close to the duval street but still far enough to have peace and feel like on your own private key west island:) The grounds of the hotel were stunning, the greenery was tropical and made us feel relaxed. We had our own small cottage with porch and felt like there is nobody else just us although the hotel was fully booked. We loved the possibility to take drinks and snacks from the common kitchen.

The bathroom had a little bit of smell (I suppose some problem with canalization) and the staff serving breakfast could smile a little more.

For happy hour they advertise drinks and hors d’oeuvres from 4 to 5. There was no drinks or hors d’oeuvres. They had wine which we love, but they could have had a better brand of wine, other than Sutter home and the hors d’oeuvres were, Doritos corn chips, or a pack of planters peanuts. I believe they call that snacks not hors d’oeuvres. maybe replace those with a charcuterie board. And I think their bicycles should be complementary to their guest instead of costing $20 each to rent.

I didn’t realise it was a share house but rooms were very separate and secure so enjoyed the experience. I arrived at 5:50pm and found door locked and a note saying staff leave at 6. Then saw staff leaving and she just said ‘read the letter for instructions’ and left
