Quiet hotel in a great location. The grounds are very nice and our room had a balcony space with tables and chairs overlooking the garden that was a nice spot for taking a break. The staff was very friendly and we communicated with them primarily by WhatsApp and via phone calls as there isn't a "reception desk". There are multiple small cafes within walking distance and Santo Domingo is within a 15-20 minute walk. The rooms were basic, but clean and comfortable.
The first night was very hot because we had left the windows closed. Subsequent nights we left the windows open (felt very safe to do so) and purchased a fan that solved that problem. Because there isn't a reception, we arranged our own airport shuttles, no biggie.

Denhi, the receptionist, was friendly and helpful and went above and beyond. It is peaceful and in Jalatlaco which is a lovely neighborhood. We liked it because it's not noisy and dense like close to the Zocalo. The accommodations were clean and comfortable and we had a beautiful balcony view with our own little table. We felt very safe and cared for.
The only thing that could have been better was the interior lighting. The light above the bed was too high to help with reading and the end table light was too dim, so I used the flashlight on my cell phone. I would suggest two end tables each with a bright lamp. Also, on the last morning, I couldn't get any hot water, but on the other three mornings, the water was great.

Denhie and the other staff were very welcoming and helped with any question or need. The location was great-a 10 minute walk to the centre, yet away from all the noise and bustle.
The birds (the parakeet and parrot) made a lot of noise at night as they were very unhappy (plucking their feathers and squalking a lot). As someone who knows a lot about birds, it was unpleasant to have the noise and have the birds in a small and unhappy captive cage.

It was a haven in a busy city. Denhi was a perfect host & talked us through everything then handed over keys and said come & go as you please. Plus the staff were on hand if you needed them but left you alone. Property very secure, private and just a great place to stay.
A fridge in the room as we stayed for 8 nights would have been great.

Fantastic location near Barrio Jalatlaco. The garden setting was peaceful and quiet. Staff was kind and attentive and went out of their way to make sure our stay was enjoyable. Would definitely book here again.
The drain in the shower was clogged and the shower water temperature was difficult to control. Beds were slightly uncomfortable. Would have loved to have a coffee maker in the room. The property and staff are exceptional and so these minor inconveniences did not impact the enjoyment and comfort of our stay. We will definitely stay here again.

Large room and quiet location. Lovely garden. Comfortable beds. The staff is very helpful and kind.
Hot water is temperamental. Seems to be the case in many hotels in Mexico. The shower head needs to have the limestone taken off, it doesn’t work properly.

Location is in little neighborhood of larger homes. This property is an estate with several structures and pretty garden. It's like a country house in the city. Family that manages is very nice. This area is very interesting and there is a church and bunch of cafes and park in the direction away from downtown that is great to stroll to. Easy access to downtown by taxi. Actually walkable too. There is a wonderful new restaurant about 45 seconds out the door to the main road. It's called " terrazzo" and it's on top of office building on the corner. This place is perfect for people with kids and families. Note second story rooms require navigating large staircase but they have first floor rooms too. Loved this place. Simple but comfortable
This is the anti big hotel place. Which we loved.

We had a very friendlly welcome from Denhi who manages the place and was extremely helpful. The room was very spacious and clean with free coffee and water, beds were comfortable, grounds lovely, quiet and safe, off street parking. Location excellent, lots of restaurants and cafees, near the center and the bus station.
Everything was perfect.

This is very clean and quiet place tucked away just out of the main historical center. The gardens are beautiful and peaceful. The neighborhood where it is located has lots of little restaurants and other conveniences. It is not far to walk to the center of town and it's easy to call a taxi if you prefer. The room was spacious and clean. The beds and pillows were comfortable. The daily housekeeping was five-star. The neighbood is very quiet and we slept peacefully. The high walls around the property keep out a lot of noise. We felt safe into the evening. Dehni was kind and welcoming. She was always willing to try to help.
Be aware that this lodging has few services: there is no drinking water, coffee, food, laundry, etc. On Sunday morning especially we had a hard time finding a breakfast option besides the market which was frustrating as we were leaving on a long trip. In the evening, buy anything you need (including water) before 10pm as there isn't much open after this. Dehni is more than happy to look things up online to find services that might be open; local businesses have inconsistent hours and you may have to just go wander around to see what is actually open. Overall, it would be helpful to have a few more services within the hotel.
