The room was clean and modern, the bed was comfortable and we had a great time. Drinks and food were of a good standard for an all-inclusive and buffet. There was always plenty of choice and the local ingredients were fresh and so very tasty. They have a Cretean table at the main restaurant that had something different every night too. We spent all the time on the beach and the drinks were easy to get and again, of a good standard. We enjoyed a game of shuffleboard one of the afternoons, but not so much the rest of the entertainment, as not really our thing. Don't forget to visit the local taverna (dinner or lunch included in all-inclusive).

There could be more outdoor toilets near the beach, as these were shared with the restaurant and often resulted in wet seats.

My wife and I recently spent a week at this great all-inclusive hotel in Crete, and it was a delightful experience. The private beachfront was pristine, with plenty of available beach beds, allowing us to relax by the sea without any hassle. The hotel grounds were impressive, featuring well-maintained gardens filled with a diverse array of plants that created picturesque settings. The main pool was spacious enough to never feel overcrowded, and the additional smaller pools offered more secluded spots for a quieter relaxation. We appreciated the convenience of having sparkling water, beer, and sodas readily available throughout the day, along with a generous selection of cocktails and spirits included in the all-inclusive package. Throughout our stay, the staff were consistently polite, warm, and eager to assist, which made us feel truly welcomed. The entertainment provided by the animators was engaging and enjoyable, without ever feeling too pushy. The food at the hotel was exceptional, and it was a highlight of our stay. Breakfast offered an extensive variety of options to suit every palate. For lunch, we had the choice of three different venues, each with its own theme, and one of which had extended hours for added convenience, all included in the all-inclusive package. Dinner was an absolute treat every night, with a vast selection of dishes and a different theme each evening. We were particularly impressed by the fact that traditional Cretan options were always available, and these also varied daily, allowing us to explore the local cuisine. The food quality was consistently high, and we never had the same meal twice during our seven-night stay. Additionally, the snack bar by the pool ensured that we always had something to nibble on throughout the day.

While our overall experience was fantastic, I would recommend considering an upgrade when booking your room. We stayed in middle-range room, which was comfortablec but didn’t quite meet all of our expectations, particularly in terms of the decor and amenities. I suspect that the lower-priced rooms might have similar shortcomings. Opting for a refurbished room would likely enhance the overall experience and make for an even more enjoyable stay.

Great food. I had to start this that as it was so delicious and the variety of it was outstanding. There has been always a table with special Cretan food. Very helpful , nice and amazing staff . It’s very clean . Location is perfect, just by the bus and taxi station . It’s 15 min to the city centre of Heraklion by taxi ( 15 Euro flat fee) . There are buses as well ( 1.60 euro) to the city and to Knossos. This hotel has a nice clean beach , can spend there whole day . It’s a great place to stay as a solo travel, with family and with friends .

Rooms were a bit outdated .

The facilities were very good, with one main pool and two smaller pools. The hotel has its own substantial, sandy beach. The food is very good with a good selection of restaurants/snack bars at lunch time and to a slightly lesser extent in the evening. The staff are all friendly and helpful, reflecting the fact that it is a family run hotel.

The room was pleasant enough but could do with updating. The WiFi was inconsistent in our room, in contrast with the good reception on the rest of the hotel premises, including the beach. The number of English speaking channels on the TV was poor, although it did slightly improve half way through our 8 day holiday. Like the wifi, I think this was particular to our room/block.

Very professional and accommodating team at the check-in. We truly appreciated having our rooms ready upon the arrival (11am). Wonderful rooms, cleaned every day. Hotel staff is very friendly and helpful. Beach is spacious, very clean, nice sand, plenty of sunbeds. Special note to the restaurant team & cooks - a great variety of food, with new dishes every day, well-run and very efficient. Hotel premises are spotless, very well-looked-after. Overall, a very pleasant stay and we would consider coming back again for sure!

Only a minor feedback on breakfast - while i have never seen such a wide selection of egg-dishes in any other hotel ( :) ), perhaps starting with pancakes a bit earlier than 8:30am would be nice. We were early risers but i would assume others like us would also appreciate that :)

We booked two rooms, an exclusive bungalow at the pool which was fantastic and then much cheaper one at the old building. The bungalows are great, direct access to the pool, quiet and well equipped. We would have appreciated a full minibar. The second room had a nice bathroom but it was really tiny, old beds and rather stinky. But the price was much lower, so I'm not complaining at all. We loved Agapi, the staff is awesome and so is the hotel's area. Pools could definitely be larger, they were very crowded in the afternoon. On the other hand, the beach is truly lovely. Enough sunbeds, clear sea, mild waves. We would love to thank everyone in the hotel, they always did their best to assist us!

Amazing all inclusive resort! The main restaurant was good, lots of options and loved our beach bar bartender he made our experience memorable! Also thanks for the free upgrade of the room! We really enjoyed our stay and I would definitely come back and recommend this place to my friends.

Small detail but something easy to fix: We need more water bottles available for guests. Since the front desk told us they don't recommend drinking the tap water, we tried going to the reception to get a water bottle for the night for our room because we finished the one that was provided. Unfortunately there wasn't any, and our only option was to get glasses of water at the bar that closes at midnight which isn't enough because we stay up late and we are used to drinking a lot of water. It would be more convenient to have a water station at the lobby so we don't have to waste many plastic bottles.

What we loved: + the food (seriously amazing variety and quality) + the people (very nice and friendly vibe) + the location (private beach, beautiful scenery and nice restaurants, overall very good place) + the value for price

What could be improved: - the rooms (bathroom was very small) - but apparently they will renovate soon - the draft beer (very watered down and tasteless) - Italian restaurant was a let-down for us However we would stay again there for sure, we are already missing the place.

The quality of the food in the main restaurant was excellent and surprisingly authentic. Also a very good system showing food allergens and options for gluten and lactose free diets. And plenty of staff to take care of everything. The beach and gardens were beautiful. And the staff is amazing, very friendly and very professional. The hotel is close to the city center, the bus stops just in front.

It takes some time to get used to all of the different timetables of the bars and restaurants. You have to make reservations for some places the day before, so we didn't get to eat at the Italian restaurant because our stay was short and it was already fully booked. The QR code system is not as relaxing, I prefer paper menu's! The Takka takka restaurant was disappointing (choice, food quality and loud Chinese restaurant music).

We had two garden bungalow rooms which were very centrally located with easy access to pool, restaurants, main bar etc. Very comfortable, even with three adults in one of them, but then we were not in our rooms very much. The main restaurant was excellent - a great variety of food including salads, local food, a daily roast meat and lots of deserts! It got very busy at certain times but staff took charge at these times to find you a table. As its All-Inclusive, there is so much food but there are other options if you want to skip a meal and just get snacks at the bars. Drinks are constantly available, including alcoholic drinks, as is ice-cream and fruit and snacks at the pool bar. Branded alcohol is extra but there is a good variety of cocktails included in the price. A tip - if you want anything other than wine or soft drinks at dinner, get it at the bar and take it in with you. All staff were very friendly and helpful - even the dining staff recognised us after a few days and always gave a warm welcome. Main pool gets busy and hosts the Aquagym and other more noisy entertainment but there are plenty of options to sit in the garden areas or at the smaller pools which are quieter and which we preferred. Facilities are good but after a while you need to get out and it is very easy to get a bus into Heraklion or a taxi from opposite the hotel. Our departure was in the evening but there was no problem with us using the pools and dining room after check out at 11am. They even provided lockable storage for our luggage and a room with clean towels where we could all shower before leaving. However, having seen this room, I can see why there are some negative comments about rooms in the main building. The bungalow rooms have already been refurbished and are far superior to what we saw of the rooms in the main building.

Booking a taxi through reception desk was a lot more expensive than booking a taxi directly with a local company or taking one parked at the taxi rank across the road. There are a lot of comments in reviews about reserving sunbeds early in the morning and this did happen (but it happens everywhere, not just this hotel).
