I recently had the pleasure of staying at Hot Water Beach Resort, and I must say, it was an unforgettable experience. From the moment we arrived, the friendly and welcoming staff made us feel right at home. The resort is set in a stunning location, just a short walk from the famous Hot Water Beach, which is absolutely spectacular. The accommodations were fantastic—spacious, clean, and well-maintained. We stayed in a comfortable self-contained cabin, which had everything we needed for a relaxing stay, including a fully equipped kitchen, a cozy bed, and a lovely outdoor seating area where we could unwind and enjoy the peaceful surroundings. The location is perfect for exploring the Coromandel Peninsula, with plenty of nearby activities, from scenic hikes to other beautiful beaches. We also appreciated the quiet, relaxed atmosphere of the resort, and we quickly regretted only booking a one-night stay—this place is truly special, and we would’ve loved to stay longer.

I didn’t like my washing being removed from the washing machine and piled up on a dirty bench. Some rules around laundry etiquette might help.. I was only away for the exact time that it said it was going to take, so I’m perplexed about that too 🤷🏼‍♀️

This is a really nice place and the accommodation was quite amazing. Such a delightful chalet with a lot of character. The shape of the ceiling in the chalet was so different to many of the other places we've stayed. The chalet was well presented and so clean. Staff were warm and engaging and tried hard to make our stay memorable. The location of our chalet on the park maximised privicy. The beach was a 10 minute walk and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay

The takeaway food was very limited with only a couple of hours serving time which meant there were a lot of guests trying to find somewhere to sit while waiting for their fish and chip food to be cooked. It felt like waiting for your take away to be made whilst in a busy city. This contravened the calm quiet feel of a relaxing holiday park.

Cleanliness and location..the staff are friendly and the amenities are exceptional..trully a place where kids will enjoy...full cooking facilities..the kitchen is well equipped..love that there is an outdoor open shower/rinsing facility when coming off from the Beach. Also the fact that there are Family bathrooms....also top marks for making efforts in water and power conservation.

The fish and chips on location is closed..so we had to travel to the nearest Fish and Chips in the next town..30mins away for dinner. We came there in Winter so most shops are not available or temporarily closed as it is OFF Season....but there are cooking facilities so something to bear in mind when coming in large groups or family.

This place is amazing. Cannot fault it at all. Staff on reception were so friendly. Facilities were excellent. Camp kitchen is awesome. Pool and soak tub was the best and our cabin was clean and beds were comfy. It has a real family feel and we wish we had more time to spend there. This place set the standard so high for our trip I don't think other places would come close to the value and experience we had here. Oh not to mention the stunning beach within waking distance.

Nothing it was perfect

My sisters and I adored our ensuite villa. It was clean and cozy and a short walk down to hot water beach (we stopped at reception to hire a shovel, of course!). In the park shop, we were able to buy everything we needed to make ourselves a nice breakfast. We also bought a bottle of rosé, which we enjoyed on our patio that evening. We'd have happily stayed here for weeks rather than just a few days.

I slept on the pullout couch. Like most pull-out couches, it wasn't the most comfortable, but that's to be expected. I do wish it had a blanket in addition to the top sheet.

Great location, just a 10 minutes walk to the beach. The place was huge and had a lot to offer, such as pool, hot pool, laundry room etc...All the shared facilities were clean. The restaurant was very good, great burgers. Minimarket open with everything you need. The cabins were super cozy with everything you need inside.

Only bad thing with the place is the limited and bad wifi. I don't really understand why in 2024 we need to have only 2GB per day and of bad quality. Just offer free and good wifi to the guests. Also, the bed was for some reason on weels, moving all the time.

Our stay here was very short but incredibly special! Thanks to the guidance of the staff, we were able to experience a midnight hot pool star gazing experience and even saw bioluminescence in the waves and glow worms along the path! The cabin was clean and well considered to visitors needs and the staff had generously welcomed us with flowers and a bottle of wine to celebrate our honeymoon road trip! The holiday park was so peaceful and full of birdsong, and the laundry amenities were clean and quick! We would highly recommend taking the time to stop here and make the most of this lovely spot!

Lovely helpful receptionist at checkin. Small table and chairs in the cabin can be moved onto the deck for dining out. Nice fresh twin bed cabin with deck that has comfortable chairs and parking close beside it. The Park is well laid out so that it doesn't feel as big as it is and it is well maintained

It was extremely busy when we were there so the wait for fish and chips was very long and there was no cutlery left in the large kitchen. The toilet block was a long walk away for a middle of the night trip!

I stayed at standard Twin Chalet, and there was only beds, a table with 2 chairs and a fridge inside the chalet. Simple and easy. The enviroment is good, with kitchen, shower/toilet, TV room and hot tube in common area. The only thing is the toilet is outside not in the chalet which I already knew, but when you need to go to toilet in the middle of night, it's a struggle. The only reason I stayed here is the hot water beach and this is cheaper choice.

We loved the hot water beach top 10. Had everything you need. Clean communal spaces. Lovely pool area. Great takeaway food on site. Rooms were clean and we enjoyed walking around the park. Close to hot water beach and can rent shovels from desk.

If you are looking for a peaceful getaway this may not be a great spot for you, very very kid friendly and always lots of noise from kids playing, which we didn't mind at all but may not be what some are looking for.
