The Ranch had alot of it's past still visible in the common rooms, the old west w touches of cattle barron thrown in. My stay was just like being one of the many cattle hands just with a bathroom:) They leave out tea & lemonade & coffee for u to take back to your room. Breakfast was totally thought about, in all detals. Very charmin caring people. (I didn't realize until my last day that there was a large grounds for walking. High security w passcard locks. Nice chairs outside.

You have to keep your curtains closed. All of the french doors open to a shared veranda. So no views outside unless ur ok if smeone walks by. Can be noisy w doors slamming, people wakin veranda halls. Luckily most of the time it got deathly quiet aftr 10ish.

Wow, this was a terrific find. We made a last-minute decision to stay longer in the Yosemite area and when we saw that this historic ranch has free rooms we jumped at the opportunity. It was a very, very cold night when we arrived (4-5 Degrees Celsius) and it was amazing to find a fireplace by the reception, a selection of warm drinks and certainly a very warm personal welcome. The host kindly showed us around and explained the history of the property. The decorations are very authentic and the ranch is equipped with everything you need. Rooms are spacious, clean, cosy, and with access to the porch. Common areas have games, books, TVs... You can definitely enjoy quiet, romantic evenings there. I would go back any time.

The heating system is not well designed. The warm air blows just above the bed, while the bathroom is not heated at all. This is not ideal, but certainly not a huge deal either. I also think the breakfast could be improved. For example, by providing a little ham, cheese and butter.

I loved this place and staff too. The location was great since I was able to get to the main attractions of the area with no difficulties at all. I was impressed by the breakfast menu. I loved it! I wish the heater was working properly. Otherwise, everything was great being there.

I had a bad experience with the heater, seemed like it was broken at room #47. However, the receptionist Diana was kind, helpful and considered to me. She offered me a warm blanket and that helped a lot since the heater was broken on a cold night.

Nothing fancy, but nice dining area. Jimmy dean sausage and egg sandwich, yogurt cereal, oatmeal , juices, bagels, toast, mini muffins, coffee, fruit. Staff was friendly and accomadating. Rooms are cute with French doors and sitting area outside. Bathroom very nicely updated. Setting and building very charming and rustic. Lovely sitting areas to enjoy .

Not homemade, coffee wasn’t very good. No coffee in room, room a bit small. Bed and pillows could be improved upon comfort wise.

Room and bathroom very clean, huge and comfortable bed, the location is very beautiful (everyday there were deers grazing outside), and very convenient regarding to Oakhurst - outside the town to the direction of Yosemite, but close enough to have options of restaurants around. There is always coffee, tea and water filter in the lobby, and the traditional style of the house is well preserved.

The breakfast has very poor options (no whole wheat bread, for example), and the sound isolation is really bad, although it was really a problem in one night out of four, since there was a family jumping of whatever they were doing in late hours in the upper floor.

Lovely old historic property and great location only 20 minutes from entrance to Yosemite National Park and only a minute off the main road. a 10 minute drive from Oakhurst for restaurants. Rooms on the small side but adequate for a short stay. Fabulous veranda for those rooms at the front of the property - definitely worth requesting. The pool was a bonus. The breakfast staff were delightful, so kind and friendly. Breakfast perfectly adequate for us with choice of yoghurts, cereals, bread and fruit.

We were aware of reviews stating squeaky floorboards. I can confirm they were, but this is an old property! Only disturbance was from late arrivals. Yes, walls are relatively thin too, but none of this affected us. Great shame the restaurant was closed. Worth noting that whilst local restaurants (pizzas) deliver, you need a US phone number and don't leave it too late. Many places wouldn't deliver past 8.30pm

It is great value for money and a very convenient point to enter Yosemite. It is 20 minutes from the Yosemite entrance (note that it is a 1:30-hour drive to the Yosemite Valley). The main building is nice, with a beautiful dining hall. There is free tea and coffee. The staff gave a nice introduction while checking in.

With thin walls, you can hear your neighbors 360. Poor breakfast. The rooms are a bit depressing.

We loved the ranch style and decor. We loved the location and views and the vibe of the whole hotel. We also loved the shared common rooms with games to play.

The rooms were a bit cramped with not a lot of room for your suitcase. There were no drawers to unpack either. The bathroom was incredibly small, with the shower being smaller than the closet provided. The pool was a bit dirty and should be cleaned throughout the day due to its location under a tree.

The room was a decent size and the bathroom was clean. It was as expected and I did enjoy the rustic style of this ranch. The staff was nice and it was great to have a breakfast included. It was convenient to stay here since it was 20 minutes from the south entrance of Yosemite park.

I wish there was a mini fridge in room to store some food and the walls were thin so it could be noisy if the guests passing by are talking loudly in the hallway.

A wonderful place that shows its history in every corner. Nice staff that maintains a wonderful atmosphere. Books of the 19th century, a fireplace with a cup of hot chocolate, deer coming to eat grass in the backyard - we liked everything in this place. There are books, board games, tea/coffee in the lobby. For money, you can buy beer or wine, there is also a vending machine with cold drinks.

The only thing worth noting if you are a sound-sensitive person is that maybe this place is not for you. You can hear all the footsteps and conversations behind the wall.
