We booked the 2 bedroom water view and it was huge! The lounge room itself was as big or bigger than a hotel room. The bathrooms and bedrooms spacious and comfortable. The view was wonderful. The staff are professional and friendly. We would definitely stay again.

There was an open chocolate bar in the fridge and one small area of bathroom that could have been cleaned better but generally everywhere was very clean. I called ahead to check what kind of coffee machine and was advised Nespresso, and there would be pods but brought more as we like our coffee. But on arrival there was no coffee machine and they couldn’t locate one. To make up for it we received some free drink vouchers but would have preferred to have the machine in the apartment.

the property generally great, but would suggest change to bathroom to allow walk in shower rather than shower over bath requiring step in and hand shower option (but great water pressure). Our particularly choice of fish at restaurant included a sauce that overwhelmed with liquid not really to taste - good wine list though. 1 of 2 lifts out of service for 2 weeks including our 1 night stay.

Location was good, room ok, view not good. I loved the 'green" opportunity of not having the room tidied every day, a very good incentive. The dining room for breakfast was lovely with the view outside.

The toilet flush button was broken & I was concerned about the health aspect. Although broken & part of the flush button completely broke off it wasn't repaired in the whole of my stay, On the bottom of the bathroom door paint was peeling all along the bottom. Clearly I was given a room which needed maintenance.

The cheap buffet breakfast was exceptional, the cleaners and staff were lovely, very friendly and helpful. They maintained our room daily which made our stay wonderful. Rydges is in the heart of Port Macq and prime location to everything. I will definitely be returning. The heated pool and spa was the best and it’s open til late for a nice relaxing swim before bed.

Great location on the waterfront. Easy parking option right under the hotel with direct access to the lifts straight to your floor. Pool was nice and warm in April. Restaurant and bar served good quality food and drinks, including nice coffee in the mornings. Twin room was spacious as was the bathroom. Our room was a city view but you could still see the water from the window. The $30 voucher each time you waive the daily housekeeping is an excellent initiative.

Pillows were not comfortable - they were hard and high (just a personal preference but there were no options to swap out) Breakfast staff were a little slow or hard to get their attention. Front desk were great except on checkout- lacking customer service skills. No happy hour or service to poolside as per signage in the hotel. It was difficult to get in touch with restaurant - no answer a few times Shower pressure was low.

Breakfast was fine, front of house under staffed i cleared our table twice no fault of staff great job under pressure kichen chef was great very helpfull house keeping staff were great, we absolutly enjoyed our time and will stay longer next time. Ps: we originally booked for 1 night enjoyed it so we extended our stay to 2 nights wife looked calm and relaxed ( not in attack mode ) so i booked a third night, apart from couple of hiccups we loved it see you soon. For the price you pay at Rydges you could normally get a room with Breakfast included and free parking in Sydney and other coastal cities. We didn’t request housekeeping but didn’t receive the $15 credit to the restaurant and when I enquired about it the front desk lady didn’t really seem to interested to assist.

for the price we paid for a deluxe king room on the fourth level at nearly $400, the bed was comfy, room size was great. We know the building is getting a little old but that doesn't mean you can't add some quality extras to the rooms. Namely, a Nespresso coffee maker and a microwave. Not much cost there. You could also up the size of the TV and get Foxtel access.

The location was central to everything. Views of the water was lovely. The staff at the reception were very friendly but the cleanliness and the dated interior was very disappointing
